This is definitely interesting. my older brother and myself have a mild form of tinnitus.. its only when we go to sleep.. all other sounds are off and its like we can hear the universe calling to us in a deafening hum... oddly enough we got used to it early on so we never really mention it except to each other (never been diagnosed either, yay internet for informing ourselves. ). music playing in the background helps alot tho. I could only imagine someone having to hear that 24/7.. i probably would kill myself if i had to hear that all the time. i never knew shatner has to deal with it on a permanent basis... damn.
