  1. Interesting. I have a feeling they'll just put it on some late night time slot tho. \
  2. Dahaha! I got video of two turkeys. X'D grSiFKM3aPk It was raining and I had to maximum zoom, so its pretty crappy quality. And sure enough, another deer showed up: And then my batteries died, and by the time I got back, I only caught a vid of the deer leaving the yard: t17zgQggZl4
  3. Probably, theres two Steve & Barry's within a 30 minute drive of my house and they were planning on opening a new store in Cicero, but it looks like that one will never open and the other two might close also.
  4. Wow. If you all liked it, me n lady should check it out.
  5. http://blog.syracuse.com/storefront/2008/06/report_steve_barrys_in_trouble.html http://www.newsday.com/news/local/nassau/ny-bzsteve045751524jul04,0,7781660.story I used to buy pants and jeans there but the most recent time I was there and bought a pair of jean shorts and a shirt for work, I swear all there sizes are off. An XL shirt is the size of a XXL at any other store and I got a pair of 36 in jean shorts so they'd be baggy on me and I can't wear them without a belt because they're huge. I still like the store and some of their items are good. Does anyone else here shop at Steve & Barry's?
  6. http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?category=2&id=57150&type=0 I always wanted to go to Quark's bar someday, but I guess that'll never happen now.
  7. So, the actress that plays Weir turned down a script to get back on the show, but she might still do a cameo at some point, but it doesn't look like she will. And Amanda Tapping, who plays Samantha Carter is leaving to be in another SciFi show called "Sanctuary." I can't blame her for leaving seeing as they did absolutely nothing with her character.. but guess who is replacing her position as the one in charge of all of Atlantis? Woolsey, the IOA committee guy. WTF? Read the articles here: http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?category=2&id=57151&type=0 http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?category=2&id=57132
  8. Thanks for the heads up guys, I think I'm going to wait until this monitor starts zapping the hell out of me again before I buy something new. I wonder if newegg has high shipping rates for a monitor. *has to look*
  9. Theres a trailer on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0017MO10U/ref=pe_20990_9705230_fe_img_1/ O'Neil is back and the effects look better than the other movie.
  10. http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/12825.html Look out X-Men, Batman, etc... Vampire Hunter D comics. Which means if hollywood keeps turning all the comics into movies, imagine a live action Vampire Hunter D movie coming out?
  11. http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/12826.html 300 did so good they're basically telling Miller, whatever you make we're going to make into a movie guaranteed.
  12. http://dvice.com/archives/2008/07/unocycle_single.php Its like something out of an anime.

  15. Our monitor for our main computer died today. So I hooked up our old 21 inch monitor that likes to randomly zap and electrocute us. I'd like a widescreen lcd, but I want good color and resolution like a good quality crt monitor, but I don't know whats good. Can anyone recommend a good monitor? Probably around $200 or less?
  16. NEXT is really good. I originally watched slayers in japanese and the emotional scenes were just so much better with the japanese VAs. But every time we re-watch slayers we always watch it in english. The majority of the series is better in english, but it just seemed magical for me the first time I watched it in japanese.
  17. I think dvds shouldn't cost more than $10 a movie. If you think about the cost per entertainment quality, a $50-$60 game could give you 20+ hours of entertainment (more with replay value) while a movie will give you about 2 1/2 hours plus mostly unwatched dvd specials and extras. $50-$60 for 20+ hours or 60+ for a good rpg. $20-$30 for a couple hours. Games now give you more bang for your buck, more entertainment for your dollar and most are like interactive movies as it is. And many have better plots than most of the movies released in the past couple years. DVDs should be cheaper to compensate. Because most people would rather download a movie in 10 minutes than spend $30 on a special edition dvd thats just going to be re-released as another special edition dvd a year later, like the indiana jones movies.

  19. http://icv2.com/articles/news/12842.html Interesting. I'm guessing Funimation's tv channel idea flopped so they're stuck having to use youtube.
  20. If it can run off water, they could combine this thing with that water purifier you can piss in (and it's powered by cow shit) and all the third world countries could sustain and power themselves with waste products.
  21. I pay $700 a year for full coverage on our 2001 Blazer with a $500 deductible. I suggest shopping around. I'm 28 right now, but hitting 25 didn't drastically lower my rate. Jumping from insurance company to insurance company is what helped. For the same package I have at progressive right now, State Farm had crazy rates, esurance recently quoted me about $900 a year, liberty mutual was a rediculous $1700 a year and geico was I think $800. Its funny, I was originally with state farm, then a different state farm, then progressive, then geico, and since my last switch about 2 years ago back to progressive, I've had a constant $700 a year, even with an accident and a totaled car (not my fault).
