I would actually like to own a SNES Classic. But I doubt I'll ever get my hands on one. I could just buy a retro gaming console on the cheap and buy some old game cartridges to go with it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XXVEQPS/ Theres also the "build your own emulator" console with raspberry pi: http://lifehacker.com/how-to-turn-your-raspberry-pi-into-a-retro-game-console-498561192 But I don't think I'd even buy one of these at this point since running an emulator on a PC is so simple and pretty much every game is available online. I'm not one of those people that illegally downloads my games, far from it. I have had a friend give me some emulator programs and a bunch of games to try out many years ago. Emulating a game doesn't seem to bother me all that much when its a game I've already paid for years and years ago and the games are so damn old, many are available to play for free on websites. SNES Classic will have mario kart? Cool.. I just played it in another tab: http://www.playretrogames.com/2378-super-mario-kart Same with Contra III http://game-oldies.com/play-online/contra-iii-the-alien-wars-nintendo-super-nes# If Nintendo actually wants some money, the should make a massive supply of these consoles and flood the market with them. So many ebay flippers will buy the initial shipments they'll all get stuck with them while Nintendo keeps up with production. But this is Nintendo.. and that VG Cats comic is pretty damn accurate.

lol. So true. Kevin Costner had a movie like that too. "3 Days to Kill". Its actually a decent movie. I saw it in my netflix recommendations.

I ended up getting the full game in a humble bundle probably a year ago. I still haven't played it but I definitely will. Another old Sierra game, Gabriel Knight, was remade in HD a couple years ago by the original developer in her own indie company. That game was so enjoyable. It was about Voodoo cult murders in New Orleans. Heres an original playthrough of it: It was a much larger game than King's Quest 5. Gabriel Knight took me about a solid week of afternoons for me to play through when I was a kid.

Those old point and click adventure games were amazing when I was a kid. It was like playing an interactive novel. Sure the games look a bit crude today, but back when CDs were new, having a fully voiced game was pretty huge. This game came out the same year as the Super Nintendo. While I enjoyed jumping on goombas with Mario, a game like King's Quest 5 was literally telling me a story.

Its definitely giving off a "Law Abiding Citizen" feel and doesn't seem that original of a concept. But to see Jackie Chan playing an anti-hero could be entertaining. The last Jackie Chan movie I watched was Dragon Blade: The trailer just shows a bunch of action which is fine, but the dialogue in this movie is amazing. Jackie Chan almost got me crying a couple times with his words. x_x Expect to read a bunch of subtitles with this movie tho since its roughly only half in english.

I always thought of the telltale games as a modern take on old school SIERRA adventure games from back in the 80s and early 90s. Those were always fun for me, but cartoony. I definitely prefer the Resident Evil games for a true zombie fix tho. I prefer Resident Evil over most other zombie games because so many of the others are always endless horde modes. CoD zombies has no end.. just kill zombies until you die. I think thats how Killing Floor is too. Dying light and Dead Island both look decent. I own Dead Island, I should probably try it out.

I started playing this last week. Only finished the prologue so far and now my character is swimming in water.. This game looks amazing. I thought Last of Us was breathtaking but Naughty Dog out did themselves and knocked it out of the park with Uncharted 4. All the plant life looks more realistic than any other game I've played and the controls for swimming is even better than Last of Us. But the biggest draw for me is the faces. Uncharted 3 had alot of the same recycled bald guy enemy look going on, but everyone in Uncharted 4 so far looks unique and the facial animations are some of the best I've seen. I'm looking forward to playing some more.

I didn't notice any of those characters. I completely forgot them. yeah the michonne game was too small. It was decent for the $5 I got it for but it can be easily watched on YouTube.

I'm pretty certain it was like that on the PS4 version too. I remember getting up to go use the bathroom or get a cup of coffee or something and let the credits roll. If it was skip able, I must not have noticed. btw, did you also buy The Walking Dead: Michonne? Its a short telltale game, but for $3.75 its a decent game. It confused me as all hell tho initially because it actually takes place at some point in the comic's timeline and not the show's timeline. http://store.steampowered.com/app/429570/The_Walking_Dead_Michonne__A_Telltale_Miniseries/

That is an awesome video. If I didn't know it was Jupiter I wouldn't have been able to tell.

Lol. I'll have to check later. If its still there you want it still? All those old accounts only had like 25 mb of space.

I think I beat 400 days.. or I only did 2 or 3 of the stories. It wasn't that memorable. Season 2 wasn't as good as season 1 to me in terms of character development. I don't think anything could top Lee and Clementine's original story. Overall tho, season 2 was a solid game and will give you alot of 'oh shit' moments.

I wish amazon would indicate if something is being shipped from out of country. The last 2 items I've purchased were both prime eligible and both gave the impression there would be 2 day shipping, until I get to the checkout and 'free 2 day shipping' has a delivery date of 1 week later. Still no indication as to why until I get the UPS tracking number and find out the item is being shipped from Canada. I haven't had anything from amazon actually arrive in 2 days in over 8 months.

Honestly no, it's all hypocrisy. We could have a lotto if it went to schools. People are more open to it now. The problem is every time there is a proposal, the government wants it to go into the state general fund... So they can fatten their pockets. So when it gets voted down they do the "the people have spoken and don't want a lotto".
There is plenty of titty bars and porn/adult toy shops around here. Honestly I don't know how they stay in business when you can order everything discretely online. There was a Asian brothel across from the mall for 20 years running as a "massage parlor". It even had an ad in the paper when newspapers were still viable. everyone knew it was a whore house, but I heard they use to give a lot of inside information to law enforcement so they turned a blind eye. A few months ago it closed down and a ton of Asians showed up in the crook book with all the mug shots. I don't know if they do that in your state, but we even have a Facebook page called "Arrested in Mobile" that posts all the mug shots as they get booked.

Lmao. I've never noticed a Facebook page dedicated to local arrests before. I should look for one.

Oh it's comedy gold. On ours, it's a bunch of white trash family fueds in the comments, or fake accounts trolling with hilarious comments.

I still own around 12 domain names. I've been meaning to thin the herd again but I keep putting it off. Hosting those sites don't cost me anything since I self host them on my main hosting account. I could go back to being a web hosting business again if I wanted with the setup I still have in place. On a side note, we always seem to go off topic in this place.

Ah, that makes sense. I was thinking about it after I made that post and I realized the massive city could be a metaphor for a giant living body and the humans are a virus while all those drones instantly attacking them is the equivilant of an immune system responding with white blood cells. -
All those years ago I made a couple other anime sites. http://deathbygundam.com/ & http://windscar.com/ At one point I was going to make a variety of anime sites and Ancient Clan was going to be the primary hub for them all. Then life got in the way and my interests slowly faded. But its all good. I don't think I'll make any more anime sites, but I will expand on AC more in the future. And our anime forum is always open. Feel free to make status updates if you want, or upload some gallery pics, make some topics about a new anime you watched, etc. If you have any questions let me know. Was that the april fools when I put a message on the top of the forum that said something like: "Pssst, don't tell anyone, but you've been selected to have admin powers for today only. Ban anyone you want for 1 hour, go ahead.. they'll never know." ? And when someone put a name in and clicked ban, they'd ban themselves for an hour instead? That was a great april 1st. *throws some big wheel at the floor forever making this topic smell amazing*

Ohhh. Thank you! My steam backlog is so massive right now. lol. I wish they'd go back to doing those daily and flash sales during the summer and winter sales. I swear the last 3 times I bought something during a Steam sale the game ended up in a humble bundle for the same price I bought it for, except the bundle would include 5-10 extra games. x_x

The developers out right said they have no idea what the darkness is!? Wtf. they're removing any mentioning of "the darkness" throughout destiny 2 and when they figure out how they want to handle what the darkness is they'll explain it at a later date.. lmao. I can't believe i just heard that. The writers don't know what the big bad entity is that has turned the entire galaxy / universe into the state it's in now.. wow. I'm imaging Gandalf telling Frodo that he has a magic ring but has no idea who made it or what is coming after him to get it or how to destroy the ring. But he should definitely leave the shire and go into hiding. A story with no details or motivation. Lol. Destiny 2 is going to have an amazing plot.

This has gotten me thinking about actual game longevity. What games in existence now has truely lasted 10 years or more with just their base game needed? Sure there can be expansions, but they'll still require that one base game that has lasted 10 years. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is World of Warcraft. Its 13 years old now. But about 4 years ago they had to start upgrading all the graphics and I'm assuming the game engine itself. Seeing as thats a PC game and the new graphics require a stronger GPU, CPU, etc. they were able to do it with no problem. But if it was a console game that would have been the end of life seeing as the initial console it came out on would have been outdated within that initial 9 year span. Any new game coming out for a console that says 'it will be a 10 year game' doesn't seem realistic at all to me. Maybe theres some other games out there I'm not thinking of, I'm sure theres some Indie game out there thats been going on for 20 years or some crap. But for AAA games, I can't think of many. Final Fantasy XIV has hit 7 years now and I'm wondering if it'll get a graphic overhaul soon. Guild Wars 2 is only 5 years old and it already needs an overhaul to it's engine. I could see it lasting 10 years, but barely unless the engine gets an overhaul. A new 10 year game would have to be as big as MMOs to keep people interested for that long of a span of time. Overwatch will probably last 5 years, maybe more. But theres only so many skins and game modes you can add until the player base eventually moves on to something else.

Thanks for the link Strider. Those couple clips of WaW looks alot more like battlefield conquest than the War mode in the new CoD. I didn't care much for zombie mode and having to 'build' something. Same with arming a bomb in Search and Destroy. I would get farmed so often. x_x

I watched this last week and thought it was pretty good. Maybe if we get a sequel we'll find out the city grew so large its making a land bridge to the moon or something. -
Hello. Welcome to AC. What anime have you watched lately? Do you prefer more action style like DBZ? or maybe slice of life like Fruits Basket? As for how old this site is.. Ancient Clan has been around since May 1, 2000. 17 years now. lol. Amazing how time flies.

Another 10 year game.. Probably one that spans numerous releases. Before we know it Anthem 2 will be coming out in a couple years to continue the 10 year legacy.
