  1. Hmm.. In only 55 seconds they emphasized action more than the actual death note.. ehhh.. I hope they don't screw this up.
  2. Oh man, now I'm going to stare at everyone's eyes when I start the Mass Effect Trilogy. When I get around to playing Andromeda the eyes will creep me out even more.
  3. One Punch Man is now on Netflix in english dub. I'll be watching this asap once I get the time. I've been reading more of the manga and OPM has really grown on me. http://www.polygon.com/2017/3/20/14989360/one-punch-man-english-dub-netflix
  4. It sounds like the game is actually complete tho. A second play through with another character like you're describing sounds like it could have easily been a DLC. Speaking of that, it doesn't look like NieR will get any story DLC after all: https://www.gamereactor.eu/news/520123/Nier+Automata+lacks+the+budget+for+meaningful+DLC/
  5. I was watching some random vids and character models look a bit whacky to me. Not just facial animations but alot of body movements look very stiff. Are you enjoying the combat?
  6. AMC must have been playing it safe again like how the first season of TWD was only 6 episodes too. I'll set my DVR for the show and get caught up on season 1 soon.
  7. Well thats an interesting concept on fast travel. Have you come across any big FPS drops during boss fights? I always liked consoles because we never had to deal with minimum specs, upgrading graphics cards, etc. But if this becomes a more standard practice I might buy more of my games on PC instead since my PC is actually much better than a console for a change.
  8. The first season was only 6 episodes!? I only watched the first 2 and missed the rest. I've been putting off catching up on it because I thought I'd have to marathon 13-20 total episodes. I think season 1 is on netflix. I'll watch that sometime soon.
  9. Oh god I hope not. The new Voltron cartoon reboot on Netflix is pretty damn good tho, so I think we're safe from seeing a live action movie of it any time soon.
  10. I'd love to read your review of the game. I still haven't played the first 3 tho. lol. I'm about one afternoon away from beating Rise of the Tomb Raider before I start playing Mass Effect 1.
  11. I'm surprised it doesn't have an auto save feature. It's like a throw back to Final Fantasy X where you have to manually save all the time. I thought Square Enix didn't do that anymore. Maybe its something the devs don't have experience with or have access to with their game engine. It looks like PlatinumGames are the same developers of Bayonetta. Maybe the Bayonetta games didn't have auto saves either. I'm glad there is fast travel. Screw walking everywhere. lol. So if you turn the online connectivity off will your character still drop their gear when they die? I hate mechanics like that. For me I like playing a single player game because I have the option to pause it or turn it off at any point. Having to walk back to my dead body to pick stuff up before I shut a game off sounds like something that would piss me off quickly.
  12. I watched this video the other day and it pretty much describes my own opinions of the game. Missing easy kills in this game is what made me burned out on it quick. It's because of bullet deviation penalty and the way suppression affects sniper rifles. For my play style of primarily sniping I just can't enjoy the game like I did with bf4. Sure I can still get plenty of headshots but the amount of shots that miss when my crosshairs are right on my target infuriate me. It sounds like those assignment equivalents in the new dlc are a step in the right direction for me except for that headshot requirement. Good luck with that. X_x I still can't bring myself to buy premium when I hardly touch the game as it is. I'll pass on this dlc and wait for the next or even wait for premium to go on sale.
  13. I watched the first season (at least first available on netflix) of The Great British Baking Show. This was amazingly relaxing. lol. Everyone is so nice, the music is soothing. No stress, yet informative baking info. I got to the end of the first season, saw who won and everyone is happy in the end. wtf. XD This is so different from all other competition shows. In the finale all the previous contestants were having a field day / picnic with friends and family while the last 3 people competed. After the winner was announced the other finalist responded with things like "The right person won this today." wtf. XD Nobody is mad. XD What really shocked me was the prize. The winner got a couple bouquets of flowers and a glass serving dish / trophy for a cake... and thats it. lmao. I had to google it.. there is no prize money, no cook book deal, no vacation or baking job... just the satisfaction of winning. Wow. XD The next season started and it begins with "We had over 10,000 participants attempting to get into this season.." So many people spending so much time for no rewards besides personal growth and experience. I like this show.

Fake drama and pointless scripted banter has ruined alot of American realty TV for me. I haven't watched Pawn Stars in years because of it. I just want interesting and knowledgeable information about the subject the show it about. Thats why I liked Mythbusters so much. There was no talk about Grant's love life or any discussion about Jamie and Adam never getting along outside of the show. It was an enjoyable show packed full of explanations, enjoyment and explosions with no drama. I do like watching Masterchef and it sometimes forces some drama on the contestants via reward advantages, but its a much better show than Hell's Kitchen where everyone just yells at each other smoking 12 packs of cigarettes in between every kitchen shift. That gets old pretty quick. This baking show has really opened my eyes again to what a good reality show can be. Calm, informative and without banter and arguments you end up routing for specific people, but then don't feel crushed if they loose. Its really quite refreshing. If I want to watch arguments and pointless drama I'd turn on that real housewives show or one of those other crap reality shows that are no where close to being "reality" and are more like badly acted ad lib soap operas.

This is generally why I like British TV more than American TV, no pointless drama and the shows are actually well thought out and funny (I adore the original version of the Office more than the American version, so much better and funnier). If you compare the original version of Being Human to the American version that was on SyFy you would see a remarkable difference (the British version was more focused on the characters and their problems, you actually felt connected to the characters unlike the American version).

I might have to give the show a shot. Sounds like its a lot more relaxing to watch then the crap we get over here for reality TV.

I finished the last season of The Great British Baking Show on netflix, unfortunately they only had 3 seasons. I enjoyed the experience. :D

  14. I was looking at this article a little while ago: http://www.vg247.com/2017/03/16/mass-effect-andromedas-animations-have-already-reduced-it-to-a-laughing-stock/ It looks like the facial animations are a bit out of whack.
  15. I have some upgrades planned for the site that could be happening as soon as this weekend.. or not. lol. I keep getting distracted by my puppies and work and I haven't had the time to do much lately except play some random games and often going AFK from everything. One of the upgrades I have planned is to add a security certificate to the site so all urls will be https. Alot of the newest browser versions are starting to flag all websites that allow logins as insecure if they don't have a HTTPS/security certificate connection. Its never been much of an issue on small sites like this one since we don't handle financial transactions. But from what I've read, within a year or so some browsers might straight up start blocking websites that handle any login info as malicious if they don't have a security certificate. Depending on your browser now, you might even get a warning message when logging in. Nothing has changed on my server's end. Its just browsers, mostly google, trying to enforce a more secure internet.
  16. Ohhhh. I'll definitely watch it the week it comes out on netflix.
  17. We're getting almost 2 feet of snow over the next 2 days. -_-; Winter needs to end.

We have over a foot of snow now. People are getting power outages near us... and my neighbor has their car stuck at the end of the driveway preventing any plowing of our driveway. wtf. My driveway is a solid 1 1/2 feet deep of drifted snow and the road has only been plowed once all day. All the plows must be busy keeping the freeways and snow emergency routes cleared. I figure at this rate the snow might be up to the hood of my car by morning.

I got plowed out this morning. Yay. I'll take a few pics later. The heaviest snow bands moved on from my location so we didn't get an additional foot like I was concerned about. All in all, I think we got 2 feet total.

  18. That blue glow looks amazing. Do they stay glowing like that when they are stowed?
  19. I watched this movie last weekend and it was amazing. I'm glad I didn't watch it in the theater tho, I'm pretty certain on a huge screen like that I would have gotten vertigo. x_x Overall the plot was good, special effects, locations and acting were top notch as well. The quality of this ranks up there with the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy imo.
  20. This game sounds amazing to me. I love the fact that you can skip some parts like that yet still make progress. http://www.vg247.com/2017/03/04/zelda-breath-of-the-wild-guide-how-to-use-amiibo/ Looks like the amiibos give way more rewards than just a npc ally. Want the Hylian shield early in the game? Scan a specific amiibo. Want a crazy strong sword? Scan an amiibo. Want endless supplies? Scan all amiibos. X_x
  21. Imagine if the dock served another purpose instead of just being a power cord, hdmi plug and switch holder. Nintendo could have put a stronger GPU with exhaust fan in the dock that the switch could have "switched" to for massive performance upgrades. Maybe we'll get that feature with the "Switch U" in 2-3 years.
  22. Thanks for your console review, you addressed everything I was interested in knowing about the system. I'll hold off on getting a switch anytime soon until more games and features get released. I think it has some great potential but I can't help but think Nintendo missed out on something amazing by not making it a traditional console with more power. Instead it's a powered up gaming tablet that has none of the basic functionality of a standard $50 amazon fire tablet. With no netflix or Web browsing it really is just a Zelda machine for now.
  23. I'm baking pulled pork in the oven today since it's 10 degrees outside and I don't want to struggle with temp control outside with the wind chill being 1 degree. X_x

  24. 6-7 hours and not even 1 dungeon yet. I'm now very impressed with the potential length of the game. I can see why done weapons break, like shields or wooden sticks/swords but I don't get why a decent bow or sword would break. Maybe your using some crappy bows made by goblins and they used fragile wood? I bet you'll come across unbreakables at some point. Maybe they're dungeon rewards.
