I got to play this for about an hour today. The tutorial and practice area felt great. Gave me a good idea of how the game works. I got in about 40 mins of games (could have been more if not for my having to afk at the title screen to take my puppy outside repeatedly. And another time when jumped at my face, licked my glasses and got me killed. lol.) I had some mixed experiences with this game. I'd have probably had a better time if I'd have stuck with 2 or 3 specific characters but I kept swapping around constantly to try a good mix of their abilities. Half my matches were good and somewhat balanced. I was obviously in the level 1-5 bracket of MMR with everyone else about as fluent with their abilities as I was. I really liked Reinhardt, Torbjorn, Junkrat, Roadhog and Mei. I'd have to learn the maps to remember when to play which one of these characters tho as I kept picking some of these guys in a couple matches back to back, doing good... and then sucking. lol. That Gibraltar map sucked. Right before the match started we saw the other team come right up to our spawn location and basically spawn rape us for 3/4 of the match. wtf. And theres a couple exits we could take, but my team kept going thru the same door. But at the other exit there was a widowmaker picking everyone else off from a good height advantage. We lost that round, then when the next one started up I noticed we swapped sides. So our team went to the same area, saw their spawn area and the cart, got ready to start wrecking them.. got 5 kills in and their entire team quit within the first minute of the round, which then popped me to the 'searching for game' screen because there wasn't enough players to continue the match. ehh. Mei was fun, but that ice wall needs to be changed to allow friendlys to pass thru it. We can already shoot thru it so I don't see the point in keeping friendlys from walking right thru it too. I say this because I got into 2 matches in a row with Mei trolls. They were on my team, didn't want to actually play. Just wanted to keep ice walling the spawn exits once they saw a team mate about to walk out. Trolling like that isn't so bad, since you can go to another exit. But when were down a team mate because they're basically afking at the spawn the entire match throwing up an ice wall, we don't stand a chance in winning. A report / block player would be nice to have. I thought maybe that was a fluke random troll like a couple of the other rounds I got in that had 4 reapers on my team, but the next round I got 2 Mei trolls, each going to a different spawn exit. The matches I did enjoy were quite fun and I got one play of the game with Torbjorn. lmao. The video clip was of me spawning and running back to the fight while my turrent killed 3 guys. I did get a great double kill with Junkrat's wheel bomb that felt great. The game plays great and feels polished, man I wish they'd have made a campaign. I like the variety of unlocks that can be acquired, but Overwatch would have benefited greatly with some Battlefield style assignments instead of having everything be RNG boxes.

What kind of magic is there in the game? The only thing I've seen in clips are spells that give temporary stat boosts. Is it possible to get spells that can incinerate an entire room of enemies?

I told myself I wasn't going to buy a game any time soon, but I went and bought StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void. It was $10 off today and I couldn't hold myself back. I'm going to marathon this game soon. But I'm still planning on trying out Overwatch this weekend and I still have this last fractal mission challenge hanging on me like a monkey on my back weighing me down. lol.

lmao. Thats reminds me of another job interview I had back in highschool. I already had a job but I went to this movie theater for a job interview so I could see if it was feasible to work a second job there part time to get to watch free movies. lol. Heres how part of that interview went: Me: "So how much does this job pay and are there any good benefits?" Manager: "It starts at minimum wage and you get no benefits for part time, mandatory weekends for the first 6 months and you can't take any time off for the first year." Me: "Wow. You really know how to sell a job." *about to get up and leave* (I didn't need this job anyway. lol) Manager: "But you have a good chance to increase your pay through promotion. Our company loves to promote from within. You could be a manager in a year and easily triple your pay." Me: "Thats good but in the mean time my pay would horrible. What about free movies or any other perks?" Manager: "You get to see parts of the movies when you walk in every 30 minutes to make sure people aren't making a disturbance." Me: "So no free movies?" Manager: "No." Me: "Tell me more about the promotions, how many people have been promoted internally in the past 6 months?" Manager: "hmmmm. Nobody I can think of." Me: "Well when did you get promoted to manager? You must have been working here for a few years now?" Manager: "I've only been working here for 1 month. I used to work at Sam's Club." Me: "So you weren't 'promoted from within the company' at all.." Manager: "No." Me: "And who would be my superior if I take this job?" Manager: "That would be me." Me: "And that means the only promotion I could get would be to your job right? But when they replaced your position they hired someone from outside the company." Me: "Which means theres no way I'll ever get a promotion even if you quit or got promoted yourself." Manager: "Well when you put it that way..." Me: "Its been fun. Good luck filling this position." I bet that guy was told the same bs about promoting from within the company when he was hired because even as a manager his pay was probably insultingly low.

I did watch the original power rangers series all those year ago, but never in the last 10 years have I ever thought "Damn, I wish I could get a new power rangers for my age group". Instead I wanted to see a grown up live action Voltron instead. I'm surprised Michael Bay isn't directing this. My favorite portrayal of the Power Rangers ever was in one of my all time favorite cartoons Megas XLR: http://kisscartoon.me/Cartoon/Megas-XLR/Season-02-Episode-006-S-Force-S-O-S?id=14210 The 'S-Force' showed up in 2 or 3 episodes. I miss this show so bad. I wish it'd have gotten more seasons. If any giant robot show need a live action movie adaption all these years later, it'd be Megas XLR. LMAO! That would be great.

DICE has me hyped. I was hesitant when I heard WW1 instead of WW2, but from what I've seen in this trailer, it will be epic. There will be a campaign, solid multiplayer, insane 'only in battlefield' action.. yes. All criteria is met.

Respawn Entertainment is making a new Star Wars game
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Video Games
If respawn actually make a story driven game it could be good. But if its a repeat of Titanfall with no actual story and its nothing more than another FPS multiplayer I know I sure as hell wont buy it. If Naughty Dog (Last of Us / Uncharted) or Crystal Dynamics (Tomb Raider) was hired to make a Star Wars game it would be epic. Both of those companies can do 3rd person adventure with amazing quality.. But instead they hire Respawn, whose last game didn't even have a campaign. This will be yet another game I already know I won't pre-order. -
Well that sounds like a horrible job part time job for that guy. lol. It was a completely different experience for me. When I worked at a big box warehouse it was a 40 hour week job with mandatory overtime if needed. 10 hour shifts monday - thursday 6:30 am - 5:00 pm. And we wouldn't know if we needed to work on friday and saturday until that thursday. too much work for the amount of money it actually paid. I did package sorting off the truck deliveries with a group of other ppl. All these packages would come off these trucks onto conveyor belts, and we'd have to throw the stuff into giant bins based on what they were, then forklift the full bins away to some other section and keep going. It was literally a sweat shop. The place stunk of BO and by the time I was done at the end of the day I sweated at least a pound of my own body weight off. I only lasted there a month and a half before I had to quit since they didn't offer any part time work and my school classes were starting back up. I actually quit about 1 week before I was supposed to get my fork lift training. I forgot I actually worked at 2 warehouses in the past. For the grocery store one I was a temp working in customer service. That company was dumb as hell. I thought I'd just answer customer complaints but I was actually in a position that I was answering the complaints of customers and store managers throughout the region. wtf. They hire a temp off the street and they had me answering emails to managers that were worried about lawsuits because one had a customer crack their head open in a bathroom and they think they were getting scammed and another store had a person complaining that their kid chipped their tooth on buckshot from a turkey they bought at the store. Another guy needed a quick answer about a legal issue because some customer was going to sue the manager himself for some horrendous reason I can't remember. I asked my boss.. "umm.. I don't know what to tell these people about these serious issues. Are you sure a temp is right for this job?" Boss: "I'm sure everything will be fine. How difficult can 'Bob's' job be? I swear he just sits on his ass all day browsing the internet. Ask Jolene if you need any help." Me: "Hey Jolene, what in the hell should I be telling these people?" Jolene: "Well I would tell this person.. blah blah and this person.. and this.. (actual decent advice)" Me: "Ok, thanks, I'll see what they say. btw, how long have you been working here?" Jolene: "1 week. I'm a temp too." Me: "Wow. Don't you think this is the worst position to fill with temps?" Jolene: "Absolutely. This place is a disaster." I worked at that place for 1 1/2 weeks. That company filed for bankruptcy within 5 years. When I heard about it, I wasn't surprised in the slightest.

A "More Mature" audience. lmao. Power Rangers is a childrens property that has been so over-saturated with reboots and recasts that the property should be laid to rest at this point. Elizabeth Banks will be Rita Repulsa and she looks like she just left a Mortal Kombat tournament.

Thats some good planning. I worked at a local distribution warehouse for a chain of grocery stores one summer. I know the truck drivers there seemed to enjoy their jobs. They'd come in the morning, pick up their trailer and then drive to the stores for early morning restocking. I don't think those drivers actually loaded or unloaded anything either. Pretty nice job considering they'd be at their own homes every night.

I've been too busy with work the last 2 days to even get this beta downloaded yet. x_x I'll set it to download tonight or tomorrow morning. I don't know what time I'll be getting on yet tomorrow or saturday. Sucks about the employment issue Strider, I hope that new employer works out good for you. DX is having sinus issues. I bet you sound horrible on psn chat. As for me, I might need a minor surgery in the near future (i'll find out more about that in a couple weeks). Depending on how that goes I might not have the cash to buy any games anytime soon. x_x I'm still going to buy a new graphics card tho since I'll finally be able to play a bunch of games on my steam account on high settings. Hmm.. Raid dynamic. Thats got me a bit concerned. I'm used to all DPS teams for dungeons, but raids have always put me off because of the class specific roles involved. But I might like overwatch more because of it since each round is on a much smaller scale than a 2 hour long raid attempt.

All I want is a solid Star Wars campaign based game. I hope respawn can do it justice. Sources: http://www.ea.com/news/the-force-is-strong-with-respawn-entertainment http://www.respawn.com/stig-blog/

Looks like Battlefield 5 will be announced the same day as the new generation of graphics cards. Once these cards get announced I'll be watching current gen card prices drop and finally get my new card.

Battlefield always sets the benchmark on graphics. Running 60 players on a map with multiple vehicles and stunning visuals is def a chore.

Your reviews on these characters are great. I'll definitely try out the beta this weekend. I still wish this game had a campaign. I was reading this review earlier and it makes some good points about the longevity of the game: https://www.vg247.com/2016/04/21/overwatch-beta-review/ The matchmaking could make or break this game. With how GW2 pvp is a mix of classes in a 5 vs 5 matches with objectives it was extremely fun for me at first. Then the matchmaking got so bad I swapped to unranked only and the match making was so bad there that every match was still lopsided with ppl of no skill or knowledge of the game mechanics were getting thrown into matches with ppl that have been playing for years. I stopped playing pvp all together because of it. Overwatch has a very similar style in terms of L2P. As long as the matchmaking is good, it'll thrive, but if I get matches like GW2 ranked I'll probably lose interest since I won't have the time to learn all the different mechanics of the different classes to stay competitive with the hard core players.

http://marvel.com/news/tv/26104/netflix_orders_marvels_the_punisher_to_series?linkId=23992378 The Punisher was the best part of Daredevil season 2. I'm glad we're getting a series dedicated to him but they better kick the annoying 'crying woman' character he was constantly paired up with in Daredevil to the curb.

Background picker is now functioning. I'll change the background pics this weekend after I edit a couple.

Tomb Raider Reboot, the new Lara Croft
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Movies, TV & Books
I thought Emily Kinney was only 14 years old at best in season 3. lol. When someone told me she was almost 30 at the time I couldn't believe it.
