  1. No, see, they'd have to fight Microsoft for world control. Which would be an epic battle full of explosions and blue screens and pile-driving fairy-tale creatures! Us lesser mortals will have to build special bunkers to wait it out, except for me, because I'll be building a fortress so that when one emerges victorious, tired and bloody and weaked, I can take the winner down and rule the world in their stead! *evil laugh a la Krankor*
  2. Don't leave the gas valve open without a pilot light!! That's a very serious hazard, not the least of which can poision your home. If you don't have an electric lighter on your pilot light, you may have to light it by hand. I would suggest calling your gas company and see if they can help if you can't find the manual that came with your stove. Or, look for the company's website and see if they have some kind of support you can call and get help.
  3. hey, at least you know Iron Man will be played by someone who fits the role. Downey was excellent in the first one, and if the plots of the others are good, I will be completly looking forward to them.

    Gas Prices

$2.31 for me this morning. I filled up my tank for $31! */cheer*
  5. It's Microsoft, I'm going with Skynet. *nods*
  6. Not quite like that. But even if all it does is reduce the CO2 emitted by factories, it'd be worth it. Espically if they can find a way to make what they take out and break down power it's own system. That would be worth pursing as well.
  7. oh for the love of gawd......Sherlock Holmes didn't have a romantic relationship with ANYONE, though he did have admiration for Irene Adler, he never had any kind of romantic relationship with her!! Gaaah! Why do movie makers insist on putting in romance when there isn't any? I mean, you have Watson and Mary from the Hounds of Baskerville, that's romance, stick with that! Hell, the Irene Adler thing happened before Watson even met Mary!! I guess I should be glad they didn't do some bizarre gay shipping between Holmes and Watson. *grrrrrrr* *wanders out ranting and raving*
  8. From what I understand, it'll be more modern in that everyone is older. Jeff Bridges is still playing Flynn, but he's older which may mean he took over the company after Dilinger, and this is 10 or 20 years after the original Tron. It looks like they'll keep the same basic look of the Tron world, just with better and smoother effects, but hopefully the world of Tron will still have that black and neon look that was so much a part of the original movie's look. And why are we the only two excited about this??? Damn young whippersnappers!
  9. .....says the woman who obsesses about her plants and landscaping. *G* And who says you have to do the laundry? Make everyone else share the job. If nothing else, do what my mom would do. We'd end up having to put loads from the washer to the dryer a lot, but when they came out of the dryer, she'd sort them and only fold hers and dad's clothes. We had our own piles and had to fold our own. And if they're too lazy to fold their own clothes and they get wrinkled, then they either learn to iron or wear it wrinkled. *nods*
  10. I saw it! I was waiting for an offical teaser release before saying something. Someone at ComicCon used their camera phone to record the teaser that was shown there, but it's not very good quality. Still, it's good enough to make me giggle like a schoolgirl. ; Unfortunatly, Disney has been aggresivly pursing people that upload this, at least on YouTube and other video share sites. Which makes no sense, really. Why not release a good quality version of it on a website? Just the teaser, don't need site content yet. They would generate TONS of interest if they did! Even though the bootleg is blurry, it still looks awesome, and judging from the response, everyone there loved it.

    AC members rock!

Wow, I guess that means my minions have been doing their job. I should lighten up on the death threats then. *nods* *G*
  12. Actually, Microsoft's next-gen OS is supposed to be completly web-based, though I think actual data is stored on your computer. Not the data for the OS, your personal data. I dunno, that just doesn't seem like it'd work. I'm sure they're trying to work something out so that they can crack down on pirated software, but I don't see how a fully internet based OS will be a good idea, espically since you can't really make one that would work over ALL internet connections.
  13. You mean, Toonami was still on? I thought they got rid of that several years ago after Tom was taken off.
  14. I don't like the idea of my data stored on someone else's server. Apps, I'm fine with. But what happens if you have a problem with your internet connection? You'd have no access to ANYTHING, and that would really bug me. I haven't tried chrome, I might when it's out of beta for a while, but I personally prefer Firefox. I don't actually use the spellcheck feature, so it's not a big deal for me.
  15. wait wait wait wait..... They're making a Lone Ranger film? With Johnny Depp as Tonto? *snork* *literally laughing out loud here*

    Fringe

what if you don't like CSI?
  19. It's avaliable on pretty much any current system except PC. Which really sucks and I'm really jelous about since I want to play it too. ><
  20. The 'good plot' being the sticking point there, though. Hollywood has not got a good run of good plot in sequels.
  21. Watch for Stargate cameo!
