His movies have never really scared me. A few jumpy moments, but they're not as scary as people say they are. But they're still good. Good characters, interesting plot themes, and I rather enjoy his stuff. Unbreakable is still my favorite, but I liked Signs too.

That's actually not a bad price. It is in the higher-end price range for cars, but it's not as bad as I thought it'd be.

I think you'd like the plotline, Lady.

Ok, went to see that Saturday night and it was ok. Not one of his best works, but ok. I didn't really find most of it scary. Spooky, yes. But they kept inturrupitng the tension with humor, and that kinda ruined the 'scary' feeling for me. The tension should break with something scary happening, not an amusing line, no matter how amusing it is. There was only one good spot where I jumped, and that was a good one because I knew something was going to happen, but I still jumped. But really, overall, it wasn't that scary to me. Plus, the 'rated R' thing wasn't that good. I mean, there was a few scenes that made it R rated, and they seemed to be included just to make it R rated, not because it was good for the movie. Overall, I'd give it about a B. The story idea was interesting, and there were good parts in it for sure, but it wasn't one of his better ones.

yeah, what's with the .mov? Fortunatly, I use VLC. whee! Unfortunatly, the video stops right after you tell Princess to go and get it. And we had a neighbor that would leave food out for the racoons. We'd go over there some summer nights to watch, and there would be 10-20 raccoons at a time eating the scraps.

Arizona is also desert, so yeah, it'll get worse. Texas gets worse on the western half, but where i'm at gets pretty bad too. What you have to watch out for more in Arizona is sunlight. You'll burn very fast if you're not careful, so make sure to use sunblock when you're going to be outside for a while!

Life, stress, and everything else... wait a minute...

Pack a little at a time so you're not trying to do everything at the last minute. Contact the electric and whatever else other utilities you need and try to have them turned on the day before you're supposed to be there. That way, it's on and ready for you. Other than that, Moving will come and hit you with a big-ass stick no matter how prepared you are, so just be ready for it. ; -
bah...you northerners know nothing about heat!.....try coming down here to Texas around August.....

Super Special Awesome! Now, explain to me why it worked. What exactly does 'preg_replace' do and why the long string of characters?
-
oh very close!...it's not formatting the link properly, but at least it's doing the IF-ELSE thing.... http://journal.thegwg.com/members3.php There's the page it's on.
-
nope, that didn't help either...and yes, one of the columums is named 'sitelink' and it either has a link starting with http or it's blank....
-
no, that didn't do it...it just leaves that spot empty. No error, just outputs everything else.

Man threatened with arrest at Heathrow for wearing Transformers T-shirt

RPG nothing, that would be just about the Coolest Movie Ever. The only thing that would make it cooler would be if Chuck Norris teamed up with Sammuel L. Jackson, and together they went out and defeated the Zentradi with nothing more than a pair of lightsabers and a whip. -
Pretty much, yeah. Or rather, if the field contains one thing, output one thing, (IF) and if it contains anything else, it will be a link, so it'll output something else (ELSE). Here's what I have: <?php // Request data $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM members ORDER BY id ASC"); if (!$result) { echo("<P>Error performing query: " . mysql_error() . "</P>"); exit(); } // Display the members while ( $row = mysql_fetch_array($result) ) { echo("<li>" . $row["name"] . " - "); $site = mysql_fetch_field($result, $row['sitelink']); if($site = "none") { print ("hpage"); } else { echo("<a href=" .$row["sitelink"]."homepage</a>"); } echo(" - " . $row["country"] . " | <b>Recieved:</b> " . $row["recieved"] . " | <B>Sent:</b>" . $row["sent"] . "</li>"); } ?> Now, this gives me no errors, but it only outputs the first clause, then goes on to the rest. I know the $site row is probally wrong, but I can't figure out what else to use there. See, that field will either have a link or nothing in it, so I just want to change that one part of the outputed HTML to reflect that.

He then punches his way out of the movie and beats up everyone that dared to watch the movie, simply because he didn't want to make a SoaP sequal. -
That's not the problem. My problem is making it check one field from the database, and then use IF-ELSE to output the correct thing.

.....squishing everyone that's on the plane into a bloody goo. Except Sammuel L. Jackson, because he's a badass who will steal a jet and battle the giant plane-bot. -

Ok, ran into another problem. I have a database I want to retrieve info from and format it on the page. Here's the catch: if there is a website link in that person's info, I want it to display the link, otherwise, just some text. I can't figure out what I need to do to make PHP check one certian field in a result to determine which IF-ELSE to use. I have that set up, but it's not checking, so everything is under the IF clause. (if that makes sense to others). Any suggestions?

Deal to return sect children to parents collapses
Dubird replied to Ladywriter's topic in News Column
Well, for starters, the not being married untill 18 actually didn't become a law until recently (by that, i mean within the last century vs. thousands of years of human history). In fact, there are some places in the South where you can get married as young as 13 if you have parental consent. Or, well, used to be because a friend of mine got married to an older guy when she was underage. And it was legal, because her parents signed the consent form. And there are still a lot of countries where kids get married at 13, 14, 15, etc. I'm not saying it's a good idea, mind you, but that is reality. And not all the family groups in there practiced that. They took a lot of kids from parents where it wasn't necessicary, that's the problem I have with it. Just because their leader's a nutjob, doesn't mean everyone is. Plus, I'm a little surprised religious rights nuts haven't jumped in on this. I would've thought they'd be in there because they communal living and all could be considered part of their religion. -
Wow, that sucks. I remember seeing those when I went there in jr. high one summer.

The state had no right to take them in the first place. The original person who called in a tip has yet to be identifed and police now think it was probally wasn't a legit call anyways. According to law, the only circumstances that a child can be removed without a court order is if there is clear evidence that the child is in mortal danger. They had no proof of that, so removing all the children was actually illegal. While I do agree that abuse cases should be followed up, monitored, and children removed if necessicary, I don't think the removal was actually necessiacry in this case. Investigation, yes. Any suspecion of abuse should be investigated. -
In the words of a wise old sage... Well, DUH! With gas prices jumping like they are, they're actually surprised that consumers are going to buy vehicles that use less gas? If they had realized it oh, say, a couple of years ago and shifted production of hybrids up, they wouldn't be having a slump now, would they? Dumbasses. *rolls eyes*

Just tell them you're sorry, you can't leave your post, but you'll be happy to call someone to help them if they wish. And if they still complain, call the manager. I stopped dealing with customer crap years ago. If they got bitchy, I'd get the manager. They're the ones paid to deal with that shit, let them earn that money.

If the general public is outlawed guns, the police would still need them because guess what? Guns will still be avalible to criminals. Do you think that most of the guns that crimes are commited with are legally aquired? Most are stolen or gotten through the black market. And guess what? The rest of the world will still be making guns! Which means that the black market for guns will still be there. I saw an article somewhere (I reallly wish I could remember where) that talked about a place, I think in Australia (but i could be wrong) where guns were outlawed and gun crime went up because the criminals were no longer as afraid to break into people's houses. As long as there's a chance the owner will have gun and is willing to use it, a lot of criminals would avoid that house if they knew it. When there's not a chance that the owner will have a gun, the criminals were more brave in breaking in because they did have guns and didn't have to worry as much about resistance or getting their asses blown off. I'm not saying guns are good. But the argument that if we outlaw guns, they won't be around anymore doesn't work because there are still people that make them, will smuggle them into our country, and sell them. To draw an anime comparision, that's Relena's arguement in the series. And it doesn't work. As long as there is at least ONE person out there willing to make and use weapons, people need to be able to defend theirselves. I do agree that better training in how to use a gun should be required, from children to adults. I personally think that if you have a gun, you AND YOUR CHILDREN should be required to attend a gun safety class. That would at least cut down on the injury and deaths caused by accidents.
