Solar Roadways Awarded DOT Contract to Pave Roads with Solar Cells

well, if they can build glass that can withstand shuttle reentry, and not have to be replaced before the shuttle goes back into space, i'm sure there's a way..... -
Solar Roadways Awarded DOT Contract to Pave Roads with Solar Cells
Dubird replied to Dubird's topic in The Bio Dome
Yeah, there's lots of problems I can see, but I think it's an idea worth persuing. Maybe they'll use transparent aluminum. -
from: http://www.physorg.com/news171545860.html I wonder just how viable this idea is. I mean, I don't it would ever replace all our current energy producers, but I do think it would be a step in a good direction. Though, it would have to withstand the punishment that current road paving does, or it wouldn't be worth it. I do like the idea of electric cars able to recharge themselves as they drive. That alone would make it worthwhile, even if that's all they could do.

Ummmmmm.....yeah. I hate to break it to you, Rob, but The Blob is still horror genre. Sci-fi horror, but still. Though, I'm not sure you can keep it named "the Blob" and not have a blob. Yeah, that's kinda the point of it.

And frat houses across the nation go into morning, as they will soon be unable to buy cheap crappy beer. *plays taps*

Well, if MJ was taking other prescriptions that the doctor didn't know about, I'd say accidental. I had a great aunt that did the same thing. She would got to several doctors and get prescriptions for stuff without telling them, and ended up going crazy from the drug mixtures.
-
True, but what's the motive? Why would his doctor kill him? After all, wouldn't he make more money keeping him alive so he can keep dosing him?

Texas public schools required to teach Bible this year
Dubird replied to Ladywriter's topic in News Column
Ok, I'm all for religion of whatever kind you choose (or not choose, that's your right too), but the choice or lack of choice shouldn't be forced onto ANYONE. Private schools, well, you have a choice to send your kids there so whatever. But anything that the government pays for that you're required to go to shouldn't promote religion or lack of religion. -
Aaahhh! Cabbit has mutant teeth! Run for your lives! I had all four of mine cut out at 20 because I didn't have room for them to come in. One was actually fused to my jawbone and had to be cut away. Yeah, not fun. ><
-
yeah, i was wondering why Cabbit was having them out again.......

Yay, some pictures! I went up to see them this past weekend, and got some pictures on my camera. Of course, my parents have tons more, but Dad hasn't sent me the CD yet. (just the links b/c they're really big) http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k48/dubird/conner/07133d87.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k48/dubird/conner/26ac1d68.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k48/dubird/conner/f5750a6e.jpg

Well, considering the swine flu still hasn't killed as many people as the regular flu does each year, I'm not really worried about it.

OnLive - Say goodbye to consoles and graphics cards
Dubird replied to gokuDX7's topic in Video Games
There's also the problem of cable or high speed not being avalaible in all areas, espically rural areas. Hell, at work we have DSL because cable isn't an option and FIOS is still too expensive at the moment. My uncle lives in a little town about an hour away from any decently-sized town, and all he can get is dial-up. Which would mean he's screwed because he plays a lot of console games. The idea is good in concept, I just don't think it's viable for the entire market at this point in time, not to mention countries overseas that won't be able to use it due to limited connections or what have you. -
eee! I still want to see it in the theatre though......does anyone know the release date for it?....
-
I.....don't know if I should be excited or scared. Some of the novels are pretty good, so there's potential, but it would probally depend on who's actually going to write it.
-
Thanks all. *huggs* And nothing planned. No one living nearby to party with and since it's on a Thursday, not much I can do since I have to go to work tomorrow. ^^;

she was a great dog....only met her once, but she was this big, gentle furball that was really sweet and loved people.....she wasn't feeling good when i was there, so i didn't really get to play with her, but she was definally mommy's baby....
-
yeah, good times....like the Star Wars one too.........wish they'd do some new ones though....
-
about 16 hours.....they ended up doing c-section because she wasn't able to dialate the full amount....so it was safer to do that rather than wait and put the baby in danger....but they're both fine, though she is pretty wiped out....which is understandable....
-
Yay! His name is Conner Dean and he's 7lbs 3oz. He was born c-section, but he and my sister are doing good, so it's fine. Have no pictures yet, but either this weekend or next weekend i'll be visiting and try and get some. *happy dance*

You're fine, and re-welcome! I guess the AC Gas does actually lie dormant in a person's system. Feeeaaarrrrr iiiiiiiit!
