  1. Does it now tell you when you have comments on your blog? The only reason I knew about the ones you left Sledge is that I went back and added them to the global recipe catagory.
  2. Like modern cartoons have such higher standards of acting and animation. I want to see some GI Joe PSAs as jokes during the credits though. *LOL*
  3. Yeah, anything would be better than the original. I would say I'm surpirsed it never go MST3K'd, but even they had standards. *L*
  4. yay! And hopefully, with Fox instead of Disney, it'll be better than Caspian! Not that Caspian was horrible, but didn't quite have the magic the first one did.

    Zombie warning signs

*LOL* Well, they also hate fire, so we just have to wait until August, when it'll be so dry and hot they'll spontainously combust.

  7. Bacon is salty and yummy and smells good being cooked. MMMmmmmmm.....bacon.....
  8. Not necessicarly. They're all healthy, will get proper medical care so they can go home safely, and from the sound of it, they won't be living on welfare or anything like that, so they're not taking that away from anyone. I mean, these people that go out and have lots of kids so they can get on welfare piss me off because they're odviously doing it because they're lazy dumbasses and just don't care, but if a couple wants to have a huge family and they're willing to work hard and support them on their own, they have a right to do so. I wouldn't, I mean, just the THOUGHT of carrying 8 babies makes my entire body cringe, but hey, families during the depression used to have large numbers of kids (though usually one at a time), and they normally gave birth to more that ended up being stillborn or didn't live very long. My grandmother is one of 11 surviving kids, and her mother actually had 15 total, so in a way, it's like a return to that era. Besides, with so many other families not having any kids or only having a few, it evens out in terms of resources and projected human population growth. And I don't see how she's a pity whore because her family wasn't the one that went to the media, not to mention they don't want their names released and don't want the media attention at all.

    Tax returns

Filling it out is. You have to pay a fee to file your returns, but you have to do that if you buy the software too, or if you use an accountant. Using the online version means you don't have to actually buy the software, so you save a little there.
  10. Actually, 8 wasn't planned. The docters originally said 7, and that was a surprise as well. She didn't want to abort any of the fetuses when they found out just how many. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090130/ap_on_he_me/calif_octuplets
  11. Who lives in the best state? I live in the best state! Why? Because our college pranks are on an awesome level: http://i.gizmodo.com/5141800/hacked-construction-signs-warn-of-zombie-attack-in-austin And the related news story. At least they gave us warning.

    Tax returns

Texas doesn't require you to file a state return, which is kinda nice. Though, the year I moved down I had to file partial with Arkansas, and ended up having to pay a specialist $70 to do it because no program would file a partial residency state return. ><

  16. Another good way of grilling corn is to open the husk and add butter and a dash of salt and a dash of garlic powder before cooking. Close up the husk and wrap it in tin foil and grill till done. Goooooood corn!

    Lasagna

You can also make it up and keep in the fridge for several days before baking...which is quite handy because then you can just stick it in the oven to bake without having to do all the prep first....

    Work Schedules

8:30-5, M-F, an hour for lunch (usually at 12 unless we need to make time for something happening or i have to meet a customer). It's so nice having weekends off.
  23. Texas actually does have emmission standards. At least they're trying, though there does need to be stricter enforcement and punishment for people that drive illegal cars. I know you have a problem with large pickups, but truth is, they are needed down here. A large percent of people driving them have reasons for needing one, like having a farm or ranch. Granted, a lot drive them for looks, but not as many as you'd think. I think the majority of the responsibility for fixing emssions standards should be on the manufacturers. It'd have to be government enforced, of course, because heaven FORBID the big guns in the auto industry have to do something that takes that extra plate of cavier off their table without someone behind them with a stick. Texas does still have the $3500 trade-in on older vehicles to help get them off the road, though you actually have to use it as a trade-in for a new vehicle, which kinda defeats the purpose. I mean, most people drive older crappy cars because they can't afford payments on a new vehicle.
  24. We got about a 1/2 ice down here in Dallas, some places worse than others. Took me 20 minutes to chip it off my truck, even though i had had the heater running hot. Not the worse I've driven in, but the biggest problem is most people down here don't know how to drive in bad conditions. Honestly, the only reason I know is that the year I learned to drive, my hometown got caught in a 3 day blizzard, after which my dad made me take the car out and we drove all around town, so I learned pretty quick.
  25. States can take it further, but most won't, that's the problem. That's what we're saying. It's a good idea in theory, but anything that's going to cost the states a lot of money isn't really going to be used very much. Texas does have state inspections to meet a minimum emissions test, and if your vehicle fails that you can't get it tagged, but there are ways around it. Not to mention states like Arkansas that dropped their vehicle inspections before I even started driving. There needs to be some kind of federal minimum, with maybe some reward for going beyond that. I don't know how that would work out though.
