  1. Yeah. I set up an account with them, but I havn't used it yet. I'm not a huge fan of those girly chat sites, but I thought It could be some good networking. That and I wonder how many people are on there faking their profile. It's easy to set one up.
  2. I had to have a c section because both my life and my daughter's were on the line, so I didn't get a choice. I didn't want one, and I'm not too thrilled to be getting another one, but.. I give props to any woman who can birth naturally.
  3. I think "he" had it sewed up and replaced it with a "penis"?
  4. it's like half a crouch rocket. wtf is the point if it only gets 15mph? A kid's power wheel goes faster. lol j/k
  5. :drool:I LOVE Vampire Hunter D. I'm excited to see what the comic book will be like. I don't know about a live action movie. Who could they cast as D that wouldn't mess it up?
  6. The plot was an interesting concept. Watching people kill themselves for most of the movie got old, and kind of depressing. I wasn't scared, though I jumped a few times because this lady kept jumping and screaming. Sounded like she was on a damn carnival ride. Overall..I could have gone without paying the $8.00 ticket price and waited for the DVD. Somehow I get suckered into going to see his movies on a over expensive big screen.
  7. Happy Father's Day to all out proud papas here on AC! Enjoy your day!
  8. I really liked the Dresden Files on Sci Fi (on DVD now). The book series is awesome.
  9. This show is kinda like a train wreck..you can't help but watch. Did anyone watch the reality show with Wild Things star Denise Richards? When she said that she couldn't help but be attracted to men with dark hair and big D**ks I damn near fell over laughing. Classic television right there.
  10. WOW..where I am at it tapped out at 105 degrees this past weekend, and thats the beginning. I have seen up to 115-120 during the summer. Not to mention it extra sucks for me being pregnant this summer..
  11. Since I am on best rest I am spending the next few weeks with my inlaws untill June 25th. When I come home, I am lounging in my air conditioned house and relaxing (it's like 115-120 degrees in the summer here).
  12. My skin is SO soft now. No break outs in a few months. My ex's gf said my hair brought out my eyes more and she really liked. I think it brought out my eyes more too. I'm digging it. Hubby wasn't so thrilled (he likes red heads) but he is liking it more now. He's stuck with me! LOL.
  13. Just wanted to post some current pics. My natural hair color is red, but I thought I would have fun and i colored it black. My hair isn't that long (it's a clip on) but it looked nice I thought. Sorry for my sloppy editing here. You can't see anything in the orginal, but it was a bit low so I edited for posting here. What do you think of the new hair? I am 24 weeks pregnant here. I have more of a baby bump from the side. and another hair pic
  14. I have to agree lady. I know it hits home to you. I know you have a right to practice your own religion, but this underage marriage crap was nuts.

Rob Knox, 18, was caught up in a fight outside the Metro Bar in Sidcup just after midnight, London's Metropolitan Police said in a statement. The teen's death, less than two weeks after another youngster was brutally slain only a few miles away, has focused the British capital's attention on knife crime. Knox plays Ravenclaw student Marcus Belby in "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince," the sixth cinematic installment of the wildly popular Harry Potter series, set for release this fall. Warner Brothers said it was shocked by the news. Story continues below ↓ advertisement Knox was one of five young men and boys taken to various hospitals across the capital after the brawl, police said. Among them was a 21-year-old who has since been arrested on suspicion of murder. The fight did not appear to be gang-related, police added, but it puts the number of violent teenage deaths in London at 14 so far this year. Knox played on the same rugby club as another recent teenage victim, Jimmy Mizen, who was fatally stuck with a piece of glass outside a south London bakery earlier this month after refusing to take part in a fight. England and Wales' homicide rate is more than three times lower than that of the U.S., according to 2005 statistics, but the parade of young victims on the nightly news has disquieted Londoners. The city's new mayor, Boris Johnson, won election on promises to tackle violent crime. And the Metropolitan Police have recently kicked off an aggressive new program to search anyone they wish for knives without having to justify their suspicions beforehand. England's children's commissioner, Sir Al Aynsley-Green, has warned the searches could backfire if they build hostility among young people. "There is a balance here," Aynsley-Green told British Broadcasting Corp. television Saturday. "On the one hand for young people to feel safer by having the presence of the police, but on the other hand making sure the new powers don't create further antagonism by increased stopping and searching." "It's just great day," said Nancy Dockstader, whose chin quivered and eyes filled with tears as she embraced her 9-year-old daughter, Amy, outside a foster-care center in Gonzales, about 65 miles east of San Antonio. "We're so grateful." Amid the reunions, an elder in the polygamist group said church policy going forward will be to forbid any girl to marry who is not old enough to legally consent in the state where she lives. Story continues below ↓ advertisement When Texas officials took the sect's children into custody, they said the teachings of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints pushed underage girls into marriage and sex. Willie Jessop, a church leader, said the church had been widely misunderstood. But he said the church will not sanction marriages of underage girls and will counsel members against such unions. Jessop insisted marriages within the church had always been consensual. A district judge earlier Monday brought an end to one of the nation's largest ever custody cases by signing an order allowing the children to leave foster care. Children began returning to their parents hours later. Judge Barbara Walther responded to a state Supreme Court ruling last week by signing an order that cleared the children to be released from foster care. Walther allowed parents to begin picking up their children Monday, ending one of the nation's largest child-custody cases. Dockstader's daughter and four other children were among the roughly 430 children ordered released after two months in state custody, much of it spent in foster care centers. Because siblings were separated at facilities hundreds of miles apart, it will probably take several days for all the families to be reunited. Dockstader and her husband, James, were headed to Corpus Christi and to Amarillo to pick up their other children. "We'll get the rest of them," said Dockstader, who was clad in a teal prairie dress and clinging to Amy, who wore a matching dress. Judge sets conditions Walther's order requires the parents to stay in Texas, to attend parenting classes and to allow the children to be examined as part of any abuse investigation. But it does not put restrictions on the children's fathers, require that the parents renounce polygamy or force them to leave the Yearning For Zion Ranch run by the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. FLDS court order Ending one of the largest custody cases in U.S. history, a Texas district judge on June 2 ordered the return of more than 400 children taken from their parents at the FLDS ranch. The judge also ordered that the parents: — Are not allowed to leave Texas without court permission. — Must participate in parenting classes. — Must not interfere with any child abuse investigation. — Must allow children to undergo psychiatric or medical exams. — Must allow child welfare workers to make unannounced visits. — Must notify Child Protective Services if planning to travel more than 100 miles from homes. Associated Press Child Protective Services removed all the children from the ranch after an April 3 raid prompted by calls to a domestic abuse hot line that purportedly came from a 16-year-old mother who was being abused by her middle-age husband. The calls are now being investigated as a hoax, but authorities contended all the children were at risk because church teachings pushed underage girls into marriage and sex. The church has denied any children were abused, and members have said they are being persecuted for their religion, which believes polygamy brings glorification in heaven. Marleigh Meisner, a spokeswoman for the child-protection agency, said authorities still have concerns about the children's safety, and the investigation into possible abuse would continue. The Supreme Court on Thursday affirmed an appeals court ruling that reversed Walther's decision in April putting all children from the ranch into foster case. The high court and the appeals court rejected the state's argument that all the children were in immediate danger from what it said was sexual abuse of teenage girls at the ranch. Court sides with polygamists The Third Court of Appeals ruled that the state failed to show that any more than five of the teenage girls were being sexually abused, and had offered no evidence of sexual or physical abuse against the other children. Half the children sent to foster care were no older than 5. All the children, including any underage mothers, will be allowed to go back to their parents, though it's possible some children's attorneys or child-protection officials could pursue further action in individual cases. It's not clear how many might return to the ranch right away. Many of the parents have purchased or rented homes in Amarillo, San Antonio and other places around the state. Rod Parker, a spokesman for the FLDS church, said some of the attorneys have advised parents to stay away from the ranch for now, but most families want to return to the ranch so the children can continue the education they were getting at the sect's schoolhouse before the raid. Walther's order does not end a separate criminal investigation. Texas authorities last week collected DNA from jailed FLDS prophet Warren Jeffs as part of investigation into underage sex with girls, ages 12 to 15. He has been convicted in Utah as an accomplice to rape and is jail in Arizona awaiting trial on separate charges. The FLDS is a breakaway sect of the Mormon church, which renounced polygamy more than a century ago. 19. Wow. Look at the dammage on that helicopter. Lady is right though, a lot of what we do read is bogus propaganda. Gp and WWF do a lot of good, despite the bad press they get.
  20. No, you don't sound like a bitch. And yes, after this one I'm getting fixed as I have said before because of exactly that. It's a mental trip to carry a baby so far get excited and then loose it. I usually mis carried in the first 8 weeks, so to survive this long I was really surprised. I get to see my doctor on thursday so hopefully it was a minor scare, and baby should be fine. He moved around a whole lot even in the hospital. He kept kicking the monitor. His heartbeat was very strong as well. That's why I picked Atreyu for a name since it means 'boy warrior'. If we both survive this ordeal, he truly is my little warrior.
  21. It's more than just fishing tuna, human jobs and harrassment. What happens when we over fish the tuna? Then what do we move to? Those big tuna boats do more than just fish tuna. They catch other sea animals that end up dying because they are not returned to the ocean ASAP and/or they are injured by the nets. The nets themselves do a lot of damage to the ocean and it's not a quick fix. Our oceans our a huge part of our eco system and if they are destroyed it will have a drastic effect on how we live, if it dosn't kill us off.
  22. I flew to San Diego on Saturday to see my inlaws and Hubby. I land and head to Escondido, where my husband was at. I wasn't even there an hour before I was sitting a small puddle of blood and cramping. I figured I was stressed out after the week and maybe the flight aggravated me. My mother in law didn't want to take any risks so she came and got me and took me to the ER. Good thing she did, because I was going into pre term labor and they had to stop my contractions. This was not the way I wanted to spend time with my inlaws, but lucky for me my husband was able to be with me for the time I was in there. As soon as my inlaws left, I was freaking out. I had 3 misscarriages before and I didn't want my inlaws to see me loose it. I felt so bad that my husband had to be there because he hates hospitals but I have to admit he was amazing. He was so supportive and "calm" (he was really freaked out as well). The whole ordeal turned out ok, but now I am lockdown. No lifting, No moving heavy objects, No sex, and No nipple stimulation, (don't ask me what the hell that has to do with anything), BUT they let me fly home? Oh and they said that the mild sex that I did have probably started the whole ordeal. I NEVER had that issue with my first and I havn't had an issue the entire first 5 months I was pregnant. Suddenly I become 6 months (25 weeks) and now it's a problem?? I don't get it. I stayed home amd rested today. I am feeling alot better but the whole ordeal was scary. On a good note, when I did got back to my inlaws house and there were presents all over the bed in the spare room. They were all for me and the baby! I got tons of baby clothes, blankets, wash clothes and towels, crib sheets etc.. It was really sweet.
