  6. http://splashpage.mtv.com/2009/09/02/guy-ritchie-to-direct-lobo-movie-still-targeting-pg-13-rating/ Not to be outdone by Disney's acquisition of Marvel Entertainment, DC Comics and Warner Bros. are rolling out some major announcements of their own this week—the latest involving the cigar-chomping, head-stomping antihero, Lobo. According to Variety, a "Lobo" movie is officially on the way with "Sherlock Holmes" helmer Guy Ritchie attached as director. The film, said to be "strong on visual effects," depicts Lobo as "a seven-foot tall, blue-skinned, indestructible and heavily muscled anti-hero who drives a pimped out motorcycle, and lands on Earth in search of four fugitives who are bent on wreaking havoc. Lobo teams with a small town teenaged girl to stop the creatures." While his attachment is surprising, we can't say that Ritchie didn't tease the possibility of "Lobo" earlier. The filmmaker previously hinted to MTV News that his next project would be set in a comic book world, though it wouldn't be "Sgt. Rock" as many had speculated. "What I like is a world where you have major broad poetic license, whether its comic properties or whatever," he said at the time. "I like stepping into an animated world. Exactly how that animation manifests itself is secondary. The primary thing is to leave what we perceive as a normal world and depart into a '300'-type or 'Avatar'-esque. And that appeals to me. I like 'Sin City' and '300' and 'Watchmen.' I like departing from a normal world." All of those movies that Ritchie mentioned boast decidedly dark premises, which isn't surprising considering his work on "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels." Still, the WB is aiming for a PG-13 rating for "Lobo," something that producer Joel Silver revealed a few short months ago. "I think ['Lobo' is] structured now as a PG-13 movie," the producer said of the film's rating. "I think we've done it that way, but I love it. While an R-rating would likely provide a truer-to-the-comics "Lobo," films like "The Dark Knight" proved that a comic book movie can test the boundaries of a PG-13 rating. With any luck, "Lobo" will be no different. Do you think "Lobo" and Guy Ritchie are a good match? Are you concerned over the PG-13 rating? Who would you like to see play Lobo?
  7. naruto will learn that mandara was manipulating the uchia's all alone that led to them staging an uprising against konoho, which led itachi to pre-empt them itachi was the only uchia to resist mandara, (prob cos he had the upgraded sharingan)

  12. http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2009/aug/31/disney-marvel-buy-out The Walt Disney empire is to buy the superheroes stable Marvel Entertainment for $4bn (£2.5bn) in a star-studded Hollywood deal that unites family names such as Mickey Mouse with lucrative characters including Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk and the X-Men. Disney hopes to put Marvel's 5,000 characters to work on its television channels and in video games, theme parks and movies. The agreed takeover is for a mixture of cash and stock, with Disney shares accounting for roughly 40% of the buyout price. The tie-up unites two companies with similar business models – they both take characters which capture the popular imagination and promote them vigorously around the world on every possible media platform and through third-party licensing deals. While Disney has traditionally been known for its wholesome family creations ranging from the Little Mermaid to Lion King, Hannah Montana and Pocahontas, the purchase of Marvel adds an edgier, more violent element – it recently scored a box office success with Iron Man, a movie starring Robert Downey Jr as a billionaire inventor who creates a hi-tech suit of armour to battle evil. Marvel's characters, who include superhero Captain America, tend to chime particularly well with teenage boys and young men, while Disney has been stronger in appealing to a female audience. Disney's chief executive, Bob Iger, said Marvel had a "treasure trove" of intellectual property that "transcends gender, age, culture and geographical barriers". "There are so many opportunities to mine both characters that are known and characters that are not widely known," Iger said. The tie-up is one of the largest US corporate transactions of the summer and marks a remarkable turnaround for Marvel, originally a comic book company, which filed for bankruptcy in 1996 under heavy debts as it faced a slump in comic book sales. The two companies hope to complete the deal by the end of the year. Marvel's chief executive, Ike Perlmutter, will be the largest personal winner, scooping $1.4bn in cash and Disney shares in return for his 37% stake in the business. Perlmutter has been involved in running Marvel since helping to buy the business out of bankruptcy in 1998. Marvel's chairman, Mort Handel, described Disney as a "perfect home" for his company's library of characters. "Both companies have their roots in great storytelling and innovative artistry," he said. Marvel had sales of $676m last year but employed just 300 people. Disney, in contrast, had a turnover of $37.8bn and a payroll of 150,000 staff at businesses varying from its Hollywood film studios to ABC television, theme parks on three continents and a high-street chain of Disney merchandise stores. "This helps give Disney more important exposure to the young male demographic that they have sort of lost some ground with in recent years," said David Joyce, a media analyst at stockbroker Miller Tabak. He added: "When you look at the kind of TV shows on their cable networks, and the Disney consumer products line for the princess and fairies – the Hannah Montana kind of stuff – it shows that they have a lot of strength addressing the young female demographic." In a research note, Citigroup analyst Jason Bazinet said: "Disney will also be able to monetise Marvel's brands across its entire ecosystem from TV to parks, movies, consumer products and video games." Marvel's shares shot up by 26% to $48.78 during early trading on Wall Street. The buyout values Marvel at $50 per share.
  13. tbh he should destoy sasuke, but he wont.....
  14. my rank wasnt updated ;p but good work
  15. i think naruto's own power would grow naturally he is the son of a Hokage, and has kyubii's chakra as a reserve. but his own chakra is a massive stock pile on its own so experimenting with skills that would otherwise drain a ninja, naruto can learn new thing on his own this form of compression is far stronger then the rasengan, telling by the size and the fact it suprised mandara bet it is an old technique the 1st created but was supposidly lost forever ;p
  16. i just wish they could pin it on Bush / his advisors they would be foolish to go after the individual agents involved
  17. it ends in naruto performing a new move that compresses chakra ;p
  18. i think it is just a general depiction of th evil of sasuke the 9 tails looks like a fox when drawn, just naruto looks like that kinda when he is 4 tailed
  19. looks pretty good, but most werewolf films follow the same formula.
