  1. *shrug* I think I've become immune to being surprised by this horror show we're all living. When you start putting all of the puzzle pieces together you see the goal of the ruling elite; use people to their profit and when they can't use us anymore we need to die. 6+ billion people on the planet is too many to easily control and too much of a drain on resources. There must be a million ways they're killing humanity, from something as obvious as traditional warfare to the sneaky 'do it to their food/water/shots they'll never know'. The bottom line is depopulation. Everyone reading this is on the threatened species list. Whoever is left after these sickos go out of their way to fulfill the end times prophecies ~even the Maya said 2012~gets to be the new serfs and peasants taking care of said elite who will ride the worst of it out in Deep Underground Military Bases. Check out Denver airport and DUMB's. Plenty of articles and footage; google and youtube. You've probably come across something about them if you've been taking a look at FEMA.
  2. This is what we've got going on yo >.< Our well lobbied government legislates whats good for us. They have always decided what is poison, what is a dangerous or hazzardous substance. The DEA enforces laws banning drugs our government decided are bad for us; unfortunately this includes hemp, one of the most durable fibers known and an easy alternative to tree pulp for paper products. The FDA and EPA allows You to be poisoned via vaccinations, public water, additives in food, toxins in the air you breath. When you develop an illness over the counter or street drugs can't cure you turn to your doctor and your doctor turns you over to big pharma as he/she has been conditioned to do since med school. The pharmaceutical companies then profit off of you until the ailment kills you/you die. Many medications prescribed to people are substances they will have to take daily for the rest of their life. The younger you are when you are diagnosed with a treatable disease the longer the pharmaceutical companies can profit off of you. Big business, money cozying up to government is nothing new. The haves can always talk louder and bribe better the have nots. Big oil, weapons manafacturers and big pharma have it made, and our government has a history of supporting the bad guy until enough US civilians get sick they have to admit they were wrong. I'm sure we've all seen DEET being sprayed all over those kids in black and white. Our leaders live high while we're being poisoned and opressed and our planet is in peril, we're talking about hundreds of millions of refugees with their homes under water by the time we're old farts and our kids are old enough to see the disasterous outcome and ask why the fuck didnt you do something to stop this? Katrina and Gustav were previews of a pissed off climate and what FEMA intends to do about us. The system was far from perfect before George W stole the first election from Al Gore in 2000, but for eight years his executive administration has done an outstanding job of preventing our constitutional rights and liberties from protecting us anymore. The war on terror gave this illegal president the power to consider any one on the planet a terrorist and subject to punishment and depending on which kind of terrorist you are you might very well find yourself not protected by the Geneva convention ie torture because the military commissions act overrides the convention. This presidency has played the American people for suckers. W denied climate change, relied on documents provided by research groups that were funded by Exxon; eventually the rest of the world twisted his arm via Kyoto protocol and W had to admit global warming was real. Consider where we are now in terms of climate destabilization as compared to wtf is global warming eight years ago. Its a shame Al Gore backed down in 2000, as a consolation prize we got An Inconvenient Truth. W needed a way for him and his circle to profit off his presedency and keep the progressively larger ADD crowd focused on something besides himself. The solution was "terrorist attacks" on 9/11, an invasion of middle eastern countries and a prolonged war in Iraq. Big oil has (almost) all of the pipelines it ever dreamed of thanks to the war on terror. These fucks charged you over 4 bucks for a gallon of gas all fucking summer. The war even conveniently gets rid of some of the depleted uranium piling up around here. Its in the bullets our soldiers are shooting terrorists with. All that radioactive crap has to go somewhere right? When the Iraqui's start getting medical treatment for all the shit this war has done to them big pharma will explode with new wealth; I'm sure they're all about ready for zoloft now. Put down the gun and pick up the pills like we do in America. The only ~almost~ benefit we can see come from this presidency is that it has been so alarmingly bad that people who used to not give much of a shit about politics educated themselves and spread the word. The more you study the key players, their associations, their legislation, all of W's executive orders, the more we return to the scene of their crimes; the more there is to learn and the more disturbing it gets. Pretty fucking disturbing actually.

  7. By Naomi Wolf, AlterNet. Posted October 18, 2008. Dear Conservative America: I am reaching out with a warning to you that is as heartfelt as the one I have been bringing my fellow citizens for months. But you are the most important audience of all for this, because you hold the key to whether or not we can save our republic in time. I have been arguing that we are seeing the classic building blocks being laid for a police state: My thesis in The End of America: A Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot is that we are seeing the classic 10 steps being set in place that always underlie a violent police state. My argument in its sequel, Give Me Liberty, is that we must rise up as tactically and effectively as patriots to stop this suppression of freedom. I hope to persuade you of the profound moral repugnance a true conservative should feel for the plans that are afoot in this nation. What is the newest news? The Army Times declared that "beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the (1st Brigade Combat Team of the 3rd Infantry Division) will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North" ... "the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities." They are tasked to help with "civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack …" What this means is that U.S. citizens can now be "controlled" by the military on our streets through technologies -- such as Tasers and rubber bullets -- that terrify and torment and stun but do not usually kill citizens the way that citizens in Iraq are terrified, tormented and stunned by U.S. military forces. Who will be "subdued," according to the blueprint, if and when this military unit takes to our streets? The first group of Americans to be subdued is likely to be protesters; then, going by the blueprint, you will see the military using Tasers to subdue people who ask whether there is a warrant permitting agents to burst into their home, as happened at the RNC. People could be Tasered while protesting when voters are turned away by the wholesale purges of quarter-millions of voters from the rolls that Robert Kennedy Jr. has been documenting; or, there is likely to be Tasering and other kinds of subjugation of people protesting corrupted voting machines. Why does this undermine American freedom? Federal laws, most notably the Posse Comitatus Act, have prohibited the military from being deployed within the United States for 200 years. Yet the Army Times reports that "expectations are that another, as yet unnamed, active-duty brigade will take over and that the mission will be a permanent one." The founders sought to keep soldiers off our streets because they knew how easily a standing army could subdue a population. That's why the National Guard is answerable primarily to the governors of states and hence to the people of the United States. But the military is answerable to the commander in chief. These are the president's troops. The president now has a personal army. One definition of a police state is when the leader has seized control of the military to police citizens domestically. Why listen to me? Not because I am a genius, but because this blueprint is so very predictive. Listen to me because everything that I warned would happen, according to the historical record, has happened, and I have documented the borne-out evidence of the crisis in Give Me Liberty. I warned that the executive would soon simply start to subvert the rule of law. See what the administration has done in response to congressional subpoenas. I warned that the torture we saw in U.S.-held prisons was certainly directed from the top -- a fact that Jane Mayer and others have fully documented since. I warned that within six months we would see the definition of "terrorist" expanded so that the "terrorists" in the news would soon look like heartland, mainstream Americans. We now hear that mere protesters at the RNC in Minnesota have been charged as terrorists. Another definition of a police state is when the leader seeks to seize control of big chunks of the national economy -- with no oversight or accountability. Sound familiar? Consider this, conservative business leaders: What matters to a would-be dictator -- look at Latin America -- is that the leader is able to intervene in the economy and essentially use his clout and his cronies to intimidate competitors or manipulate the economic playing field. Dictators do not care if there is no middle class anymore in their countries, or no upper-middle class. Indeed, they are well served by the kinds of economies you see all over Latin America in which the cronies of the regime vacuum up wealth and intimidate their less-connected peers, in which the middle and upper-middle classes sink into misery while the poor simply suffer with little infrastructure to support them. The coup has already taken place in terms of the laws that have been passed. With wiretapping, the mass arrests of protesters and the directive that allows the executive to seize control of all systems of government in the event of an emergency, the coup is in place, ready only for activation. Is the Bush team seeking to calm or whip up fear in the face of the economic meltdown? Look at how many times Bush, McCain and Palin use the phrase "We're in crisis mode." Then think of FDR, with nothing to fear but fear itself. The only way to stop the Rove-Cheney cabal from moving ahead with this coup without the headlines will be a principled and patriotic Republican revolution against this plan. That is why resistance from Republicans to the Paulson "rescue" was so very heartening. It will take Republicans to understand that criminals have seized control of the White House -- and I don't use that term rhetorically: There are distinct crimes this regime has already committed, and deploying our military to police us is yet one more. It will take Republicans across America to consider the lessons of history: In a police state, your politics do not protect you. How will commerce proceed in such an America? How will capital flow? How will elections unfold? How will liberty be anything more than an echo of a fair and valiant recent past? This is not a liberal nightmare. This is the nightmare of any true conservative patriot. Please speak to one another about this crisis. Please see it for what it is. And please join our transpartisan rebellion against the paper coup which is all too soon to materialize as boots hit the ground in the United States for the first time in a century. Please stand up for true conservatism, and stand up for a free America.

  9. Tell Governor Sarah Palin: Alaska's Wolves Demand Justice! http://www.care2.com/go/z/e/AA8vr/WUpd/ANR12 Earlier this summer, reports emerged from Alaska that wildlife personnel staked out a known wolf denning site -- a practice that is illegal under Alaska law -- and, using helicopters, gunned down 14 adult wolves from the air. When they landed, they found 14 infant wolves in the nearby dens -- and shot each one in the head. No other options were considered for the pups, such as contacting local zoos for placement of the orphans. 28 wolves gunned down in all as part of Alaska's predator control. Learn more: http://www.care2.com/go/z/e/AA8vr/WUpd/ANR12 But the question remains: did wildlife personnel break the law? "Denning" -- the killing of wolf young in the den -- is prohibited under Alaska law. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin presents herself as a pro-ethics reform politician. Demand that Governor Palin stand up against any illegal efforts to kill wolves in Alaska: http://www.care2.com/go/z/e/AA8vr/WUpd/ANR12 During her two years as governor, Sarah Palin proposed a $150 bounty for the severed foreleg of each killed wolf and introduced legislation to make it even easier to use aircraft to hunt wolves and bears. But if she truly believes in wiping cronyism out of government and elevating the rule of law, then she must apply those principles in all circumstances of the law. It's time that Governor Palin call for a thorough investigation into the killing of these 14 wolf pups, and bring any Alaska employees who acted illegally to justice. Please sign our petition to Governor Palin, and urge her to get the facts in the open. http://www.care2.com/go/z/e/AA8vr/WUpd/ANR12 Thanks for taking action! Natasha Care2 Campaign Team

In This Issue: -- NSA Spying on Military, International Aid Workers -- ACLU Files FOIA -- Ballot Initiatives Put Freedom on the Line this Election Season -- Update: US Supreme Court Denies Troy Davis, Georgia sets Execution Date -- New Law Restores Rights to Americans with Disabilities -- The End of America -- School District Punishes Kindergarten Student Because Of Family's Religious Beliefs, ACLU Sues In the States: -- U.S. Supreme Court Protects Newly Registered Ohioans' Voting Rights -- Victory in Michigan Voting Rights Case ********************************* NSA Spying on Military and International Aid Workers -- ACLU Files FOIA Last week, ABC News reported that NSA officials have intercepted, listened to and passed around the phone calls of hundreds of innocent U.S. citizens working overseas -- including soldiers, journalists and human rights workers from organizations like the International Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders -- even after it was clear that the calls were not in any way related to national security. NSA officials regularly passed around salacious calls such as the private "phone sex" calls of military officers calling home, according to the report. This week, the ACLU filed Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests demanding that the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Justice Department disclose any policies and procedures pertaining to how the NSA protects Americans' privacy rights when it collects, stores and disseminates private U.S. communications. The NSA has not released a public version of its procedures for protecting the privacy of U.S. communications since 1993. "The American public needs to know whether the NSA's procedures are sufficiently protective of our privacy rights," said Melissa Goodman, staff attorney with the ACLU National Security Project. "Unfortunately, there is often no meaningful court oversight of the NSA's surveillance activities, and the NSA is left to police itself." In July 2008, Congress enacted the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 (FAA), giving the NSA unprecedented power to spy on Americans without warrants. The law was passed over the strong objections of not only the ACLU and other civil liberties groups, but many members of Congress and the American public. The FISA Amendments Act permits dragnet, suspicionless surveillance of Americans' international communications -- precisely the kind of invasive and ineffective monitoring that was reported last week. The ACLU filed a landmark lawsuit to stop the government from conducting surveillance under the new wiretapping law, arguing that the law violates the Fourth Amendment by giving the government virtually unchecked power to intercept Americans' international e-mails and telephone calls. The case was filed on behalf of a broad coalition of attorneys and human rights, labor, legal and media organizations. "The FAA shows the danger of Congress choosing to legislate before it investigates," said Caroline Fredrickson, Director of the ACLU Washington Legislative Office. "We now know that whistleblowers approached the Senate Judiciary Committee last year with claims of NSA malfeasance and that efforts to bring them to light went nowhere. Congress should have been much more aggressive while investigating those allegations. If it had, the FISA Amendments Act may have had the safeguards needed to prevent this kind of abuse in the future. As it stands now, the privacy rights of Americans are as protected as any given NSA analyst allows them to be." The ACLU is taking a stand on crucial initiatives that will appear on November's ballot in 11 different states. The ACLU doesn't take sides when it comes to candidates for office. But, when people try to use ballot initiatives to undermine freedom, it is our job to be at the center of the action, doing everything we can to protect the Constitution. We're working hard -- committing millions of dollars and enormous amounts of energy -- to defeat the November 4th ballot initiatives aimed at undermining your constitutional rights. He is scheduled to be executed on October 27, 2008. On Monday, October 13, 2008, the Supreme Court of the United States declined to review his appeal, and a warrant of execution has been issued. Mr. Davis is about to be executed for the murder of off-duty police officer Mark MacPhail. He will be executed even though no murder weapon was found and no physical evidence was discovered. He was convicted based on eyewitness identification by nine non-police witnesses. Seven of those witnesses have now recanted or given contradictory statements prior to the trial. Several of the witnesses say that they were coerced into giving false statements. One of the witnesses that has not recanted is an alternative suspect in the crime and has been heard claiming that he killed an off-duty police officer. None of the evidence about the recanted testimony or Mr. Davis's possible innocence has been heard by a court. Please make your voice heard. Tell the world that evidence of innocence must trump court procedure. No one should face the ultimate punishment while evidence of innocence goes unexamined. Make your voice heard on behalf of justice. Send a letter to the editor on behalf of justice and Mr. Davis. http://action.aclu.org/site/R?i=BohwGzPA815DnRcOYA5ctQ.. Email the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles, and ask them to reconsider this case and stop this execution. http://action.aclu.org/site/R?i=Evkphn9jYDQMiIddiXLQ8g.. ********************************* New Law Restores Rights to Americans with Disabilities In a victory for civil rights, the ACLU celebrated President Bush signing into law last month the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA). The legislation rolls back two decades worth of legal decisions that have thwarted the original intent of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). The ADA was landmark legislation when first passed in 1990 with strong bipartisan support. The original legislation sought to protect individuals treated unfairly due to an actual or perceived disability. Like other historic civil rights laws, the ADA was designed to promote equal opportunity, economic independence and full participation in American society. But, in the past two decades, legal decisions have limited the ADA's protections. Courts have held that individuals with impairments who function well due to their use of "mitigating measures" - such as medication, hearing aids, and prosthetics - are not covered by the ADA, even if they are discriminated against because of that impairment. Judges have also interpreted the definition of "disability" so strictly that they have created an overly demanding standard for qualifying as disabled. The courts also have placed an overly heavy burden of proof on the victims by requiring individuals who allege their employer regarded them as disabled to show that their employer believed them incapable of performing a broad range of jobs, not just the job they were denied. "The courts have gradually diminished important civil rights protections for employees with disabilities," said Deborah J. Vagins, ACLU Legislative Counsel. "The ADAAA restores the original promise of the ADA -- that individuals with disabilities, who are willing and able to work, should be able to do so free from discrimination." ********************************* The End of America The End of America, a new documentary from award-winning filmmakers Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg (The Trials of Darryl Hunt, The Devil Came on Horseback), based on Naomi Wolf's 2007 book of the same name, details the ten steps a country takes when it slides from an open to a closed society. It's an historical look at trends in once-functioning democracies from modern history that are being repeated in our country today. It gives any reader (or viewer of the lecture or film) a much-needed history lesson and constitutional refresher. Most importantly, it puts the recent, gradual loss of civil liberties in the U.S. in a historical context. The average American might not be alarmed at AT&T selling our private information to the Bush administration, but when this action is seen as part of a larger series of erosions and events, a pattern emerges with unfortunate consequences that become disturbingly clear. http://action.aclu.org/site/R?i=PKJK6g4YNDwWFc05EcFdBw.. School officials have forced the student into isolated in-school suspension since September 3, 2008 because he and his family refuse to abide by a district mandate that he stuff his long hair, part of his American Indian religious and cultural heritage, down the back of his shirt while at school -- a requirement that would cause A.A.(the child) shame, embarrassment and physical discomfort. "NISD is trying to force A.A. and his parents to choose between practicing and expressing his religion and identity and obtaining a public education," said Fleming Terrell, staff attorney for the ACLU of Texas. "But Texas law and the First Amendment both prohibit the district from forcing parents and students to make this choice." The ACLU is working tirelessly to ensure that the upcoming Presidential election is a fair process with no unconstitutional restrictions on voting rights or access. Below are some examples of our voting rights efforts around the country as the election approaches: ********************************* U.S. Supreme Court Protects Newly Registered Ohioans' Voting Rights In a major victory for voting rights, the U.S. Supreme Court today issued an order protecting voters in Ohio from attempts to challenge their registrations based on small inaccuracies in government databases. The order reverses an appeals court decision that required Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner to provide all 88 county Boards of Elections with lists of mismatched voters that had discrepancies between the information on their registration forms and other government databases. The ACLU filed a friend-of-the-court brief early this morning in support of Brunner's position. "We are grateful that the Supreme Court reversed the flawed appeals court decision. Today's decision protects the voting rights of hundreds of thousands of Ohioans who could have been illegally disenfranchised," said Meredith Bell-Platts, staff counsel with the ACLU Voting Rights Project. "Had this program gone forward, Ohio voters would have been subjected to added confusion and chaos at the polls. While there are plenty of other voter suppression strategies being deployed in Ohio and across the country, at least this one has been put to rest." If the program went into effect, failed matches could have resulted in hundreds of thousands of lawful voters being purged from the rolls, challenged at the polls or required to cast provisional ballots. Learn about the voting rights in your state. http://action.aclu.org/site/R?i=3gNcNfnJll6OmTT7ZWEHiw.. ********************************* Victory in Michigan Voting Rights Case In a major victory for voting rights, a judge ruled this week that Michigan's voter removal program violates federal law and ordered the state to stop illegally purging voters from the rolls. The decision comes in a lawsuit filed last month by Advancement Project, the ACLU, the ACLU of Michigan and the law firm of Pepper Hamilton LLP. In question was a Michigan state law requiring local clerks to nullify the registrations of newly-registered voters whenever their voter identification cards are returned by the post office as undeliverable. Detroit elections officials report that nearly 30,000 voters per year in that city alone are removed from the rolls as a result of this state election law -- particularly affecting minority, low-income and student communities. The judge ruled that one of Michigan's voter removal programs violates the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) and ordered that state to "immediately discontinue their practice of cancelling or rejecting a voter's registration based upon the return of the voter's original voter identification card as undeliverable." "This is a major victory for Michigan voters and the integrity of our democratic process," said Meredith Bell-Platts, staff counsel with the ACLU Voting Rights Project. "Today's decision brings us one step closer to restoring confidence in an electoral system that has been poisoned by illegal disfranchisement policies. As a result of the judge's decision, fewer Michigan voters will be illegally purged and wrongly disfranchised -- and that's good for everyone."
