  1. Not that I'm worried about it... there's no way Ussop would leave the crew is there He left, fought with Luffy and broke ties, Sogeking stuff (but 'showed up' when Luffy needed him most) Merry is at the bottom of the sea, and now the giants offer to take him with them onto Elbaf. He wont go with them right? He promised to go with Luffy. I imagine Franky will name the new ship (Merry had her name when she was presented to them) I wouldn't be suprised if Super! was somewhere in the name Who will assist in the building? Franky family, Galley la? Iceburg? Ussop too. This should be the last ship they will need considering the materials and skills Franky's got. He can pay homage to Tom making his own version of the Oro Jackson. When they can leave Water 7 whats next? Zoro needs a decent sword Islands with giants and mer-people are out there waiting
  2. Mayuri Kurotsuchi vs Sawatari should be interisting.
  3. I think it had to be the old woman and Sakura or they may have lost. Chiyo knew all about Sasori and the missing kazekage. She was probably the only one wise/experienced enough to defeat him. Sasori has been around a long time and is arguably the best puppeteer the world has ever seen. He can control enough puppets to take over a country so... Chiyo needed Sakura's strength to land the right blows to bring him down. Naruto isn't smart or patient enough to figure out how to kill Sasori. He would have just tried to pummel his way to victory, got his ass handed to him, and then had to rely on the fox just to survive the fight and possibaly kill Sasori. Kakashi probably could have figured Sasori out, but he isnt as familiar with Sasori or the techs a pupeteer uses as Chiyo was.

  7. NASA: Greenland ice sheet shrinking POSTED: 10:29 a.m. EDT, October 20, 2006 WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- The vast sheet of ice that covers Greenland is shrinking fast, but still not as fast as previous research indicated, NASA scientists said Thursday. Greenland's low coastal regions lost 155 gigatons (41 cubic miles) of ice each year between 2003 and 2005 from excess melting and icebergs, the scientists said in a statement. The high-elevation interior gained 54 gigatons (14 cubic miles) annually from excess snowfall, they said. This is a change from the 1990s, when ice gains approximately equaled losses, said Scott Luthcke of NASA's Planetary Geodynamics Laboratory outside Washington. "That situation has now changed significantly, with an annual net loss of ice equal to nearly six years of average water flow from the Colorado River," Luthcke said. Luthcke and his team reported their findings in Science Express, the advance edition of the journal Science. The ice mass loss in this study is less than half that reported in other recent research, NASA said in a statement, but it still shows that Greenland is losing 20 percent more mass than it gets in new snowfall each year. The Greenland ice sheet is considered an early indicator of the consequences of global warming, so even a slower ice melt there raises concerns. "This is a very large change in a very short time," said Jay Zwally, a co-author of the study. "In the 1990s, the ice sheet was growing inland and shrinking significantly at the edges, which is what climate models predicted as a result of global warming. "Now the processes of mass loss are clearly beginning to dominate the inland growth, and we are only in the early stages of the climate warming predicted for this century," Zwally said. http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/science/10/20/environment.greenland.reut/index.html
  8. Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman has hand-picked former ExxonMobil CEO Lee Raymond to lead an influential study to develop policy solutions to America's energy crisis. The Legacy of Lee Raymond After eighteen years of presiding over ExxonMobil, Lee Raymond is responsible for ExxonMobil’s corporate image of denial and greed. In the 1990s, ExxonMobil began a multi-million dollar subversive disinformation campaign to undermine the science on global warming and delay crucial action. Internal memos reveal that the Bush administration has had a tight relationship with ExxonMobil under Lee Raymond and has received advice that benefited ExxonMobil and the oil industry while pushing the nation backwards on energy and the environment. Taking a page from big tobacco’s playbook, Mr. Raymond directed ExxonMobil to spend $19 million to fund front groups to create an echo chamber of doubt around the science of global warming. As recently as June 14, 2005, Mr. Raymond told the Wall Street Journal, "it’s yet to be shown how much of this [global warming] is really related to the activities of man." Lee. Raymond turned ExxonMobil into a rogue company even among its peers. The company vocally opposes U.S. energy independence and presses for deeper reliance on oil producing nations such as Saudi Arabia where the company has sunk heavy investments. Mr. Raymond’s legacy is to deny that oil dependence is a problem. ExxonMobil is the only major oil giant calling renewable energy an "uneconomical" investment. Known for abruptly shutting off the microphone at shareholder’s meetings when shareholders voiced opposition, Lee Raymond has earned the reputation of an impatient, authoritarian leader who shows no qualms to publicly belittle those who disagree with him. Mr. Raymond’s repeated criticism of U.S. energy independence, investments in renewable energy, peak oil, and policies to help combat global warming have made it clear exactly where he stands. Although he claims his views will not dictate the study’s results, there is overwhelming evidence to believe the contrary. Given his legacy, Mr. Raymond is unquestionably the worst choice for leading a study on resolving America’s energy crisis. Movie Ost

*besides anime!* are there any movie ost's you have/like to listen to? PotC Black Pearl is better then Deadmans Chest Kill Bill 1 has some great tunes. I like it better then Kill Bill 2 X Files has a few songs I really like I recently aquired some older (yo 80's!) movie soundtracks too for my sis. The Lost Boys, Top Gun, Footloose, Dirty Dancing
  10. I always wanted Heero and Zechs to fist fight umm yeah....
  11. I'll go old skool first just cuz DBZ had some wicked fights you know there was a tear in your eye when Gohan defeated cell w/ Goku's spirit/ghost standing behind him fireing off that kamehameha Final fight in Fushigi Yuugi. Tamahome's lil brothers and sisters showing up like that *cries more* Sandiame hokage vs Orochimaru. Damn bad ass moves Garra vs Lee and drunken Lee vs Kimimaru. Luffy vs Enel, Luffy vs Crocidile, Luffy vs Ussop!!!!! *squee* favorite memorable fights?
  12. After Sail on, this is my fav One Piece amv http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=980445781
  13. I'll prolly cry watching the eps. It will prolly be just as 'rip yer heart out and throw it on the floor' as the shit w/ Robin and her mom.
  14. My sword would be all Dath Maul lightsaber style, but white not red. A 360 degree weapon and I'll even rip off Gourry a lil to summon it "Light come forth Luna Shimmer!" excellerated particles in the stream vaporize slower moving or stable matter in its path and rejects all other energies like its own. Ultimate attack and defense!
  15. Its difficult to end something you're attatched to (I never could kill Z) but there comes a point when ya say to yourself 'how much longer an I gonna keep chopping down this same fuckin tree?!' Kill him, make it fit and if you need him later I'm sure you can figure out a way to bring him back.
  16. kill him if it will add value to the story otherwise make him vanish, ya might want him later
  17. *snort* I think there will be chief cali sharron drama on NC before they get out of there too
  18. I'll admit it; I was tellin Starbuck "kill that fuckin thing". Sledge was agast I could be so vile to a child She is clearly playing that cylon bastard (taking his hand when Cassy woke up was a might smooth move) (has Raine and Sasuke flashbacks* "Look Starbuck, Kabuto made this for us" Lee....omfg you fatass! Karma bit him right in the ass (and made it enlarge A LOT in just 4 months) X'D It was 'a moment' when he broke down and was talking to his dad in the passageway. I kinda figured Lee the weak would be ordered to take Pegasus and the rest of the fleet and move/resume the search for earth. Lee has lost his edge, he lost it last season when a hooker bested him. Damn shame *shakes head* There will be a good fight on New Caprica. The old man WILL get enough ppl off that rock (and probably be heavy a few cylons- so cruel the way they just shot 6 in the head like that) Tai aint stupid and he's not a weiner. He's not going to sit back and let his wife play both sides of the fence to protect him. He's a military maniac, a commander and his objecteve is create chaos via military/vigalante force to distract the cylons who outnumber them on NC so that the civies can be saved. Tai turned the blind eye to his wife in the past. Most ppl learn from their mistakes. They could have slipped her the wrong map or she could be in on the bigger picture with Tai. Either way hopefully she can redeem herself by totaly dicking the cylons over. This would also set a precident for Gaius to follow.
  19. Rage was in The Bachmen Books, but Steve-o wont let that story be printed anymore. Check the copies to see if its in there. My favorite short by King.
