Nag yer congressman The letter I sent to Dan: I'm writing to urge you to support HR 2835; it is The Medical Marijuana Patient Protection Act of 2009. The bill is so simple it can be viewed on a single page. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h111-2835 I have seen family and friends of family fight cancer and other painful physical conditions; chronic kidney stones to multiple back surgeries. I have also seen the deeply depressed and the extremely manic and many shades of mental illness in between. I have seen tons of pharmaceuticals heaped upon their problems but there are times they cannot produce the desired effects and marijuana can. Its the reaction our bodies have to the natural cannaboids that produces the hungry happy relaxed state that the suffering would kill for 5 minutes of feeling like that. We must take medicinal marijuana seriously and we must protect those who legitimately benefit from the use of marijuana. Its a cruelty to keep this away from those in need or to criminalize them for its use. I encourage the adoption of medical marijuana and dispensaries in the state of NY. As ironic as it sounds it will create green jobs, farmers licensed by the state to grow. If there is one thing this area has a lot of its farmers and farms. I'm sure they could use the economic opportunity that growing a patch of a plant could bring them. Dispensaries will create new business and thus jobs, something else we need more of around here. Never forget this is NY and we'll find a way to tax the cool out of it like we did with cigarettes. A legal system for marijuana will put it in the cigarettes and alcohol category to the youth. Its going to put a lot of drug dealers out of business, kids wont be selling it to their friends in school if its considered 'lame' and 'weak' and 'for old people' (I have teenagers). Marijuana is a relatively safe substance, you cannot overdose and die and there is no physical addiction side effects. Millions of people self medicate with the substance on a daily basis for pain nausea anxiety etc. It is time to stop putting the sick into the same category as criminals. Please support HR 2835. It is time for real marijuana reform.

Salt Lake OKs gay rights laws with Mormon backing
Ladywriter replied to Dubird's topic in News Column
you're nicer then I am I don't feed the delusional The separation of church and state wasn't a suggestion, it was a founding law. Religious people get all bunched up over marriage, divorce, abortion, homosexuality, even wtf ppl wear; yet they're cool with all of the killing genocide incest slavery pedophilia etc in their holy scriptures. How the fuck ppl reconcile themselves to this shit is beyond me. You cannot cherry pick your scripture you must accept and obey it all to be a true *insert religious brand name here* These organizations PAY NO TAXES but want to influence the political policies of my country?! Fuck no. This is not the middle east, which is a hell hole because of religion having political power. The Mormans Evangelicals and Catholics are the absolute worst of the worst here when it comes to pushing a congregation to bend to the churches political views. If you're going to discuss civil liberties from your pulpit you should be taxed. If religion can't keep its big nose out of politics they need to be taxed. Let us remove their exemption and see how it goes. I'm willing to bet there wont be anymore multi million dollar mega churches built around here, or at the very least wayyyyy fewer. For a moment stop looking at religion as a given and look at it as a business. Who wouldn't want to be the CEO of a company that doesn't have to pay employees, they volunteer! They give you their money time and obedience. What a great gig! Most people wont look at it this way though primarily because their indoctrination took place before they could speak and they were raised to NOT question the most insane things. I find that very often when I confront a religious person they get nervous, rigid, sometimes it ends in anger. It's not all their fault and I try to keep that in mind, they were psychologically (and in some cases physically) conditioned to believe and protect their faith from everyone and everything. As if the fact their faith had to be defended wasn't a clue that they were dealing with smoke and mirrors to begin with >.< ex: a person is taught that peas are called beans and that belief is reaffirmed by everyone around them their whole life. For some reason you befriend the person and one night over dinner they ask you to pass the beans. The debate begins and though you have overwhelming evidence that peas are peas, the person sticks to their bean guns. Peas and beans, pretty insignificant. But violence and war is not, neither is civil liberties or a womans right to control what happens to her own body, even the creation of the solar system and the evolution of life on earth. Its time to put 2000 year old bullshit on the shelf next to mother goose. Most ppl are into the church to participate in something bigger then themselves (funny thats why most people vote too ) If we could steer them away from the nutty end times shit and put all that time cash and energy into climate solutions- something that actually WILL help.... Religion is NOT harmless and peaceful. Killing in the name of god and beliefs of a religion are happening every single day. Disinformation does not grow minds. Like Lennon said Imagine no religion -
lol that was great X'D

Salt Lake OKs gay rights laws with Mormon backing

bingo baby The religious organizations need to stay the fuck out of politics. If they want to push or promote public policy they should lose tax exempt status. Period. They crusade to deny our citizenry equal protection under the law and control the female body. If they wanna be politickin then they should pay fuckin taxes like the rest of us. Don't worry Dubie I know you don't like dem dere Mormans After all the time effort and cash they blew in Cali to rob ppl of equal rights this bit in Salt Lake don't mean dick. Lieing out of both sides of their mouth. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVuw1wEuaAQ]YouTube- How do we know that Christians are delusional?[/ame] -

How the Stupak Amendment Radically Undermines Women's Rights wow... I would really hate to have to do a 180 and help tank the bill when I know so many people that need access to cheap insurance but I won't support the bill if they're going to interfere with women's health choices. Serious low blow rethugs and conserve a dicks. Fuck you.

removing the color from your hair is harder and more killer~ish then putting color in. If you really want to scale down to a brown you might have to go to a pro. Up here all of the quality stuff for dye/perm/etc requires the cos license to buy. Hairdressers get the best shit. I like the Logics line of color but there are other brands. Find a couple colors you want by brand name, makes it super easy for you and the hairdresser. Look for a salon that has been in business for a while that has had the same ppl working there a good while. Make sure they do a lot of color and perm stuff, that way you can be comfortable they know their chemicals and aren't going to fry yer hair. A salon not super cuts or a barber place. Follow the old ladies lol. When you pop in ask the receptionist if you need an appt for a color and how much it would cost to have this procedure done to your hair. They will also have the bestest shampoos for color treated hair there too If you tell the one who does your hair exactly what you want you'll get it. Be prepared to substitute a color with a different brands color in case they use one or the other. You and the stylist talk about what to do with your head before anything, they might want to give you a trim or layers or some shit before they put color in or highlights at the end of it all. You both should be on the same page what your hair will look like when its over. yes... I've been listening to my sis a lot lately

honestly..... I don't even want a cell phone. I caved in and got one only after the car broke down when I was driving alone on gorge road at dusk. I got the stupid thing in case I had another unexpected problem and so I could be reached in regards to the kiddies if I was out of the house. I don't hear the house phones when I'm outback in the gardens. I don't need a full blown computer in my cell phone. I have a laptop for that. I do not need to be online 24/7 I choose when to devote some time to being online, not my tecky toys. If I have to sit in a waiting room for an appointment I bring along this thing called a book. Its made of paper and has knowledge and stories hidden inside Yes I know they come in teck toy form now but I do enough reading off of a computer screen and I try to treat my eyes kindly. I would like a decent camera in the phone so I don't have to drag my camera everywhere to get random snapshots. I use the phone more for texting then talking, a better keyboard would be convenient. Thats about it...

Independence Day worked so well because it was semi realistic. In the face of violent annihilation the super powers come together, find and implement the solution to save the world.... now if only we could convince those attending the summit at Copenhagen next month to get together to do something about climate change before there is more running and screaming in the really real world....
