  4. It's completely unacceptable for a corporation to encourage the violation of privacy. That is what pisses me off. The stereotyping/macho bullshit is beyond lame (had to be a real dateless loser that came up with this crap) stupid frat boy bullshit, but I'm used to/expect this kind of behavior from ignorant males (so glad not all guys are like that). If it were the reverse, say 'How to manipulate a man and take everything he's got App' guys wouldn't be amused, they'd be screaming femanazi and gold digger and I would have to agree. The app needs to go the way of its caveman~ish principals (extinct) and the social/moral retard(s) that came up w/ this shit should be shit canned and blacklisted. Apologies from Pepsi aren't enough. They should try to remember mom doing the grocery shopping (there is also advice on how to score w married women) is not going to buy a product that supports the use and abuse of women and their rights.
  5. Pepsi iPhone app draws fire for stereotyping An apology from the company is igniting even more online criticism As of this morning the ap is still available. gee can you guess which pos company (and their cohorts) I'm boycotting now? Sorry sledgers yer just gonna have to find a Mt Dew alternative until Pepsi quits acting a fool. Here's a list of more fuckers that aint gettin my dollars yo Besides the Pepsi-Cola brands, the company owns the brands Quaker Oats, Gatorade, Frito-Lay, SoBe, Naked, Tropicana, Copella, Mountain Dew, Mirinda and 7-Up (outside the USA). PepsiCo also has formed partnerships with several brands it does not own, in order to distribute these or market them with its own brands. 10. Ten Against Torture President Obama reads 10 hand-picked letters every day to get a glimpse of what's on people's minds and in their hearts. Amnesty International has compiled powerful letters written by 10 influential thinkers – from an exiled poet to a former military interrogator to an esteemed actor and activist – that boldly make the case against torture. Read the Ten Against Torture letters and send the one you find most moving to President Obama. Note: Due to the excitement generated around this campaign, we have decided to include more inspiring letters below in addition to the original 10.
  11. I wonder why Kuma consented to become what he is now.....
  12. Congratulations President Obama on the Nobel Peace Prize -- Now Please Earn it! Dear President Obama, How outstanding that you've been recognized today as a man of peace. Your swift, early pronouncements -- you will close Guantanamo, you will bring the troops home from Iraq, you want a nuclear weapon-free world, you admitted to the Iranians that we overthrew their democratically-elected president in 1953, you made that great speech to the Islamic world in Cairo, you've eliminated that useless term "The War on Terror," you've put an end to torture -- these have all made us and the rest of the world feel a bit more safe considering the disaster of the past eight years. In eight months you have done an about face and taken this country in a much more sane direction. But... The irony that you have been awarded this prize on the 2nd day of the ninth year of what is quickly becoming your War in Afghanistan is not lost on anyone. You are truly at a crossroads now. You can listen to the generals and expand the war (only to result in a far-too-predictable defeat) or you can declare Bush's Wars over, and bring all the troops home. Now. That's what a true man of peace would do. There is nothing wrong with you doing what the last guy failed to do -- capture the man or men responsible for the mass murder of 3,000 people on 9/11. BUT YOU CANNOT DO THAT WITH TANKS AND TROOPS. You are pursuing a criminal, not an army. You do not use a stick of dynamite to get rid of a mouse. The Taliban is another matter. That is a problem for the people of Afghanistan to resolve -- just as we did in 1776, the French did in 1789, the Cubans did in 1959, the Nicaraguans did in 1979 and the people of East Berlin did in 1989. One thing is certain through all revolutions by people who wish to be free -- they ultimately have to bring about that freedom themselves. Others can be supportive, but freedom can not be delivered from the front seat of someone else's Humvee. You have to end our involvement in Afghanistan now. If you don't, you'll have no choice but to return the prize to Oslo. Yours, Michael Moore MMFlint@aol.com MichaelMoore.com P.S. Your opposition has spent the morning attacking you for bringing such good will to this country. Why do they hate America so much? I get the feeling that if you found the cure for cancer this afternoon they'd be denouncing you for destroying free enterprise because cancer centers would have to close. There are those who say you've done nothing yet to deserve this award. As far as I'm concerned, the very fact that you've offered to walk into the minefield of hate and try to undo the irreparable damage the last president did is not only appreciated by me and millions of others, it is also an act of true bravery. That's why you got the prize. The whole world is depending on the U.S. -- and you -- to literally save this planet. Let's not let them down.
  13. and a war on drugs that has made our border w Mexico less secure then downtown Baghdad a doc or nurse that donates their time to free health clinics are far more deserving The only thing Obama has accomplished since he came to Washington is getting a dog which he didn't even train himself he outsourced the job
  14. Obama: Nobel Peace Prize ‘a call to action’ wtf? He hasn't done anything but give speeches.
  15. Iran isn't a threat to us. It will be long and long b4 they have long range missiles capable of hitting us. Let the countries they'll bomb first... like Israel handle the situation themselves. The Clinton admin wasn't fans of automatic/semiautomatic weaponry. I can't say I've ever seen anyone deer hunt w/ a Gatling gun
  16. agreed[bitter moment]we should have elected Hillary[/bitter moment] Yes actually I have. The bank and auto bailouts weren't imagined during the primaries when it was Obama vs Hillary. Can't say they were completely unexpected, but they are not the results of the current admin; they are the results of fail Bush policies, deregulation of financial industries and shifting the tax burden to the middle class. The dems ran candidates that emphasized a commitment to getting the f out of Iraq, reforming health care - it is an issue and has been an issue that directly effects millions of people on a daily basis- I certainly wouldn't call it "the least important issue", infrastructure, housing, addressing climate and energy issues etc. Obama already had priorities coming into the job, thanks to former horrible retard prez W, failing financial corporations and the failing auto industry became new priorities. Everyone was so sure it would be the end of America if AIG or General Moters went bust. He is still addressing his campaign promises, we have a health reform and a climate bill going through all the motions presently. Downsizing in Iraq is continuing, unfortunately most of those troops will be sent to Afghanistan to finish the now more difficult job of erasing AQ that has had years to entrench themselves cuz lets face it, the Bush admin blew it big time there so they could go after Saddam out of Bushy revenge and get their pipeline deal etc. Ya know, stuff more important then national/global security. Obama had his own things to do (which is why we elected him) but his/our stuff is 1 taking a beat down in the house/senate from repugs and conserve a dems ~I'm thinking none of them will be re elected if they blow climate or health care bills regardless of party~ and 2 has to compete with Bush clean up costs (the money the tax payers has handed out in corporate welfare is obscene). Bailouts also took center stage for the first few months which annoyed the voters who were not seeing our will be done, thus many democrats are very impatient with govt right now. I find that ironic considering we sat quietly waiting our turn for 8 years of disaster Bush. I signed up over at Camp for Lib early on during the prez primaries; I was undecided and wanted to hear all the candidates. I like Ron Paul and I think he's right on about a lotta things. The repugs totaly shut him down, did their best to humiliate him and not take him seriously even though poll after poll showed RP won the debates. It shows his own party is afraid of him and his ideas. It took getting a dem majority in the house for Ron to get the co sponsors he needs to audit the fed. I'm basically doing the same things during this admin that I did in the last; sending lotsa letters to ol' Chuck Schumer, following the bills, the politicians, the science, the money trail. What is different now is the level of violence/danger those opposed to the admin are displaying. Bill O the ass clown preached Tiller the baby killer to the unstable and the man is dead. Right wing media has gone around the bend or off the cliff or some damn thing. Nutters like Glenn Beck are terrorizing people that are already frightened, using the old repug trick of keeping the terrorist threat level as high as possible to keep people skiddish. Astroturf groups send out instructions on how to prevent intelligent dialogue on the issues, a deliberate attempt to keep everyone un or under informed. These idiots come to meetings carrying guns and crucifixes. The oppositions approach is aggression over discussion. We have better 'homeland security' now then we did when Bill Clinton was in office...I suppose... at the very least I sure fucking hope so because all this happy crap shit, this kind of aggression is what led to Where Were You When You Heard The News?
  17. Passengers made me cry at the end
