So I finished watching the first season of My Hero Academia tonight and you were right DX I absolutely love the show. I think most of that has to do with my absolute adoration for All Might but I could be wrong (but I'm sure I'm not, you can't hate the man he's just fucking perfect).
Gotta say for a shounen series it certainly has a lot going for it. Great humor, awesome character development and characters , a good story (I only say good for now as it's only S1 that I've finished, I hear it gets a lot better), and a pretty kick ass soundtrack. Not going to say I don't have any problems with the show (it suffers from some of the things I hate about shounen series) but those are greatly overshadowed by everything I said before.
I'm honestly looking forward to starting S2 tomorrow (thank god I'm on vacation) and hopefully starting S3 before I go back to work (if I don't get lost in the myriad of other things I have to do this week).

I think what makes this series shine over other shounen is it never drags ass. The sports festival was awesome because every fight and event was finished in 2 episodes or less and moved on to the next. Flashbacks were kept to a minimum. Overall the series stays focused. Season 3 doesnt waste anytime, just now are we finally given a breather with the last two eps.

The constant action and focus on continuing the story has been rather refreshing and the nice little 2-3 ep bridge episodes are rather nice (and very informative). Finally a shounen series with no filler (my god I think the world might end).
Yeah my friend warned me (and I already knew) that shit gets pretty intense at the start of season 3. I decided to hold off starting it until tomorrow because it will only take me 3 days to get to current (ep 53 as of yesterday/tonight) and then I can switch this to my normal Saturday night shows (when I sit down to watch Steins:Gate and Overlord) and I can finally finish re-watching Mai-Hime.

Bah, now I feel lost. Finally got caught up to current and I'm sad because I can't just watch 5-6 episodes a night anymore. Been a long time since I've had this feeling while watching an anime.
Man that fight between All Might and All for One was spectacular. Such an intense two episodes (not to mention the whole training camp). God damn I'm glad I picked this up. Now I'm just curious about how they'll end season 3 (I really hate my inability to just be surprised, all the possibilities they can use (though I hope they go with what I'm predicting, will make Season 4 even better if they do)).
