  1. I still need to do level 32 PoE so I can get my gloves ;_; I did get the New Monarchy machine gun today out of an engram from a chest. Haven't used it yet but I had to reforge it like 6 times just to get something worth having for perks. Might have to try it out later today. Also got the Vanguard Fusion Rifle yesterday out of a Blue Engram, sadly it's arc damage which sucks since I wanted a void one so I can finish my Thorn bounty. Meh, I've been progressing through my Warlock at a good pace and should hopefully be 20 by the end of the week (30 on the other hand is going to be a bitch, all I have is pre-ascended Sunbreakers). Her Mercy is a good Hand Cannon as long as you get good perk rolls on it. Mine's okay, I like it but I still prefer The Devil You Know over it (and Last Word is also a much better Hand Cannon but I'm only using it for Crucible now).
  2. Heh, yea thats why I was leveling my Warlock last week. I'd like to get her 32 so I can farm weekly events for coins and it'd be nice to farm the shit out of PoE more then once a week. Maybe I'll do some leveling on her today or tomorrow.
  3. So I got through all the story today after getting home (loving the sidearm by the way, not overly powerful but it rips Captain shields to shreds which is nice) and I also turned in all those engrams (got crap outside of a nice sniper rifle (FWC one), the crucible rocket launcher, and two pairs of gauntlets (the dead orbit and sanction six ones)). Got a Pulse Rifle out of an engram I got out of a chest for those wolf bounties (as well as a key) and the Sanction Six helm out of a blue engram. Did the new strike which is a blast, wish some of the other ones were as fun. Also did PoE lvl 28 (of course) which I must say is easy but a blast. After going though all of it I got Her Mercy (a very nice hand cannon that I needed to reforge for some decent perks) and I got the MiDA Multi-tool. Not a bad hall if I say so myself but I definitely have a taste for it now and we definitely need to do 32 PoE tomorrow. I'm drooling just thinking of the loot that can come from that. I also really need to get to Rank 3 with the Queen because I want that damn ship!
  4. Damn, here I am 100 miles away from my PS4 when all the fun is happening. Damn new job training. Can't wait to get on it when I get home (I'll be home Friday night). We'll have to hit up PoE on Saturday if we can so I can get some fat lewts before I head back out for training again (and if not I can always do the level 28 match made and get some gear from it).
  5. I like my Badger, nice stable scout rifle with nice damage output and I can hit head shots for days with the thing (really wish it had increased reload speed though, thing reloads a little to slow for me). I'm not that impressed with explosive rounds, my other scout rifle has them and honestly they don't do much more damage then the weapon itself and the splash damage is negligible to other targets around the one your shooting at. Honestly I've never seen the appeal to them (my Devil You Know has them to and I again same story but I prefer explosive rounds on hand cannons). Now if it had Firefly I'd be happier then hell then, that's one of the best upgrades for a weapon in this game (sadly very few weapons have it). Still thought he Reaper is an amazing scout rifle, my friend has it and loves the thing to death (but I don't think he got the same upgrades for it as you did). Heh, I honestly thought you had more exotics then that considering your unnatural luck in this game (not that I should talk, counting last word I'm at 5 for weapons) but that is quite the collection you have there (much better then my sad showing, I have very few legendary weapons).
  6. Well as of today I'm inbetween jobs so I've got almost a week (18th at least) to laze around and do whatever I want. Yay!

That sucks it starts up when HoW comes out tho! I got the morning shift that day so I'll be trying it out in the evening. Hopefully you'll get a chance to jump in PoE with me.

Well it seems I won't be able to join you in PoE fun until the weekend. I'll be training starting Mon up until Fri. Boo, ohwell. Don't have to much fun without me.

  7. It's on the way to The Devil's Lair, the guy you need to kill is praying by that hive ship before you enter the area to do the ghost defense thing (if you're in strike which this does not require). So I did the Nightfall this morning (which was a bitch) and got an exotic. This would be all well and good if I didn't already have the damn thing. Gave me the Symbiote helm. Sigh, was fun though.
  8. I would of just waited because when you ascend armor and weapons they keep all upgrades unlocked and automatically upgrade damage and armor to the maximum amount (what I was trying to tell you before) but whats done is done, you'll need to fully upgrade it again (except damage wise come next Tuesday). That's the reason why I didn't upgrade my Bad Juju or my Ice Breaker this week (and why I didn't upgrade my Invective last week), not worth the glimmer or materials to go all the way back through it.
  9. As DX said you'll get the new Bad Juju but I'd wait as well, they'll most likely update the bounty to the new version once HoW goes live. Same with armor, buy new stuff it HoW and then ascend your helm. It'll save you glimmer instead of blowing it on upgrades for new armor now (I'd also wait on Ice Breaker, just ascend it). Earth isn't dead it's just people don't farm materials anymore since you can go and buy materials with Crucible or Vanguard marks now. Plus you get 10 of whatever materials are on said planet when you do the patrol bounties now. Plus if everyone else is like me they have an extreme excess of spinmetal (I have over 450 atm since nothing I currently have requires it for upgrades).
  10. Well that certainly explains why those ass hats were farming that area yesterday morning while I was doing bounties. Made it extremely hard to get certain ones done when enemies were no where to be found. Heh, really looking forward to PoE now though sadly I most likely won't be able to do it until sometime in June as I go for training for my new job the week HoW goes live (sigh, when I was finally getting hyped over Destiny again). Maybe I'll get lucky and I won't have to go and train until the week after (not entirely set in stone yet, just know that I may or may not be getting a call for it come the 18th). So DX and I were doing strikes last night and I finally got an exotic drop at the end of doing one, Sadly it wasn't Hawkmoon or Gjallahorn but I'm somewhat happy with it. I got the Last Word, as I said not my first choice but it's surprisingly better then most have made it out to be. My only complaint is how fast the thing shoots and it's small clip size but it's a surprisingly accurate hand cannon and hopefully once I get the two accuracy perks for hip fire unlocked it'll be even better while hip firing.
  11. http://www.vg247.com/2015/04/24/skyrim-mod-steam-workshop-pc-paid/ First paid mod was already pulled. Looks like it's going over extremely well already. Sadly this is a very bad step in an extremely wrong direction for Valve to be taking. Mods should always be free. You should never have to pay for something that's added to a game after it comes out and by people not affiliated with the company that made said game. It's just bad practice and is going to kill the already extremely fragile PC game market (which, no matter what anyone says, has been dying very slowly for years). Mods are supposed to fun things added to games for people to screw around with, add new quests, add silly side stories, etc. They should never be made to make a profit off of (that's what the terrible DLC market is for). Plus, like Sledge said, a lot of people trying to make it into the industry use mods as a way of building a resume and showing off their skills (in fact I know several people who made it into the industry off of mods they made, hell look at the guy who made the original DotA mod for Warcraft III. The guy is working for Valve on DotA 2). The other bad thing here is Valve is taking to much of the money from the initial sale. I understand they're acting as the middle man but 75% of the money made off the mod is a little to much and greedy. All they did was supply the way to sell and distribute the mod, they did nothing to create it. Fucking game companies are starting to get really greedy as of late and all it's going to do is kill the industry that much faster then it already is.
  12. Meh, I'm still not sold on this new movie (plus the new stormtroopers look like goobers (not a fan of the new look)).
  13. That has to be prerendered footage because I'm pretty sure there is no way you'll be able to control a speeder like that in a heavily wooded area like that. Game looks great though and that practically sold the game to me. Plus, don't get me wrong games this generation look beautiful, there's no way the game is going to keep that type of graphical awesomeness going during in-game battles (even on a console, BF4 looks amazing but it suffers from graphical glitches and hiccups).
  14. I generally have to as well when it doesn't crash my browser.
  15. So House of Wolves on May 19th with no new raid? Wonder what Bungie has planned with that.

The new strike is crazy... the boss fight is longer than the whole damn run through x_X

Aw yeah, Cryptarch gave me The Chance off a blue engram. Got me a new hand cannon!

  16. Finally, my phone hates the current mobile version of the site (always crashes Firefox one me). All other changes sound good to me (especially the article changes, I skip right past the main page and jump directly to the forum to begin with so I never even see the articles).
  17. Just got done playing Life is Strange Ep 1, gotta say this is a pretty damn good game. Definitely lives up to the hype I've seen about it.

I just watched the trailer for it. Nice. It has that telltale game feel to it. Do you get to actively rewind time or is only during certain moments?

You can do it whenever you want as far as I could tell but honestly the only time you'll really use it is if you fuck up during an event or if you decide to do one of the major choice things differently (these events will tell you there will be consequences for your actions). Honestly an interesting tool but not all that useful yet. Ep 2 releases next week so we'll see if it has more use then.

  18. Today is a very sad day for me for we lost a truly great man. RIP Leonard, you were always a hero of mine and I wish you the best in you next adventure.

  19. First the stomach flu for 4 days and now a severe cold. My body doesn't fuck around when it gets sick, god this sucks

  20. So the wireless card in my laptop went out, just fucking great. Sigh, at least I have an ethernet cable long enough to reach it.

I've seen usb wifi dongles for sale on amazon before. I thought about getting one for an old laptop to upgrade it to wireless n but I never got around to trying that out.

I use a USB wifi for my pc and it works great. It only sticks out half an inch, so it would be ideal for a laptop. Mine is made by d-link

  21. Well it's certainly and interesting game. Combat reminds me of TERA in a few ways (even though this came out before). I'll probably be putting a big chunk of time into this when I'm not mindlessly grinding in FF. Rolled a Warrior for my first character since i have a thing with be a mindless killing machine and I love how you're skills change based on what weapon you currently have equipped. Really loving the dual wielding axes thing. Also rolled a Thief just to see how similar it is to playing a rogue from WoW (a class I fully mastered before the talent rework in Cataclysm), will work on her later once I'm happy with my Warrior's progression. Oh yeah I'm also on your guy's server, seems you guys aren't quite full yet (though you are close).
  22. Well I did purchase it (the Digital Deluxe edition, for $5 more I figured I'd just go for it) so I'll download it on Monday while I'm sleeping and install it when I get up (after I make some room on my computer). I'll probably give it a shot after it's installed for a bit and see how it plays for awhile. Who knows, maybe it'll be like TERA and pull me away from FF for a few weeks.
  23. Meh, i don't need complicated combat systems. I played one the the hardest dps jobs to master in FFXIV only because it's a positionally dependent class (Monk, requires me to be in certain positions to maximize my damage (currently playing Ninja which is not positionally dependent)). Otherwise yeah the game is straight forward but it's still a damn fine game (plus it's had some of the hardest boss fights I've ever done, no where near GW2 difficulty but we don't have world bosses. Everything for us in instanced into dungeons). Sadly it's going to be hard for me to adjust to playing one class per character. The main selling point for FFXIV (outside of it being a FF game and the fact that I love the story) is the fact that I can do everything on one character without having to make another just to try a different class/job. Such a nice system that I wish most MMO's would go to. I'll probably purchase it tonight before I head off to work and give it a shot on my 3-day weekend when I'm not mindlessly grinding dungeons for Tomestones (currency for armor and weapons) or working on the damn books for my next version of my relic/zodiac weapon (I will get my damn Zodiac finished before the expansion, even if it kills me).
  24. After reading everything you guys have said about this game makes me want to try it (especially at that price) but sadly my time is all but monopolized by FFXIV (hell I still haven't gotten around to beating Shadows of Mordor and AC4). Plus I have an expansion coming out in 2 or 3 months. Sigh, so many MMO's to try and no time to play any of them.
  25. Sadly DX Comet will sell just well enough that Activision and Bungie won't even feel any pain for their stupid choices for this game. The Destiny community is still rather positive about the game they were given with only a handful or so of us being rather pissed by what we were given (after being promised so much more). This is the problem with games and game development these days, the current generation of gamers is so used to being forced to pay for extra content that they don't even bitch about being given small DLC patches worth $20 or more. Our generation is used to games coming with more substance as we're the generation that grew up gaming on the original Nintendo and Sega consoles (and in some cases even more old school like Atari). We expect to be given more for the price we pay for games and sadly we're just not being given what we want or expect. I really hope Ubisoft doesn't fuck up with The Division and go down a similar route that Destiny has. If they do I might just be done with big games like these from now on and stick to smaller titles and RPGs like I used to in the past (and even now these games are starting to suffer from the greed syndrome as well). Honestly Sledge you're not missing much by not playing the new content. The new Strikes are fun but not worth the money you originally paid for it. I've finally decided after seeing the news about the new content leak to put Destiny away and I'll probably never play it again. Outside of playing with you guys the game offers no enjoyment and is an endless grind for better gear that's more monotonous then doing it in an MMO (I actually prefer grinding in MMO's, at least you're working toward a goal that's feasible unlike in Destiny). Maybe now I'll finally get back into playing Shadows of Mordor so I can beat it and finally play AC4 and get that beaten (then maybe I can finally work on getting through that massive backlog of Steam games I need to play).
