  1. lol, I probably shouldn't say this but I'm close to getting my second exotic weapon. While playing this morning I finally got the Exotic Weapon Bounty from the Bounty dude. I got to choose between the Pulse Rifle Bad Juju, the same Fusion Rifle DX is working on, and the Machine Gun Super Good Advice. I chose the machine gun and I'm now waiting for Xur to show up so I can by something from him for it. After that it's 500 machine gun kills and I get the weapon. Once I do I get to play the whole "Which Exotic weapon should I use today?" game. I guess it's a good problem to have but still a problem none-the-less.
  2. Heh, I nearly crapped myself when I saw it. Had to go try it out and it's a damn nice rifle. A little sad you can't upgrade the sights on it but the sight it has is pretty nice. Has a very nice fire rate as well. Who knows, he might have one. I'm still surprised you didn't get the hand cannon exotic bounty when you got yours (which I still have yet to get, oh well the Monte makes up for that). As far as I've heard it's one of the most common ones you get (though the questing process is kind of a bitch from what I've seen). Also figured out why you can't have all exotic armor equipped (if you happen to have a whole set which atm is impossible). Seems you can only have one Exotic weapon and one Exotic piece of armor equipped at a time due to how powerful they are (I got a little pop-up when I equipped the rifle telling me that). Kinda sucks but I guess it makes sense. Just need to go find myself an exotic piece of armor now.
  3. The bounties are a cinch but can be rather tedious. The ones for today are 200 fallen headshots, 200 ether drops from Fallen, Kill 3 Fallen Walkers, Play a crucible match with the Queen's Class Item/Shader/Emblem (all 3) equipped, 20 headshots on guardians with handcannons, 15 headshots on guardians with a sniper rifle. Tedious but doable (though the Queens Items one can't be done till your rank 2 with her). So I was out farming spinmetal today to upgrade my armor when I found a legendary engram in a chest. Went to the Cryptarch to decrypt it and got myself the biggest surprise of my life. I got an Exotic and it's the PS4 exclusive Auto Rifle the Monte Carlo. Look at the pretty rifle. I'm now in love with the Cryptarch until the next time the bastard trolls me (which will be tomorrow I'm sure).

  7. Heh, the Draksis one was easy once we figured out the exploit (shhh, no one tell Bungie). The Queen is a heartless bitch sending us on these damn near impossible missions, nearly crapped myself when we did the moon boss the first time because I was severely undergeared for it. They're fun as hell though and I'm going to go look up all those damn modifiers before we do this again so I know exactly what we're walking into from now on. No more of this surprise shit. I also suggest you bring a friend or two along as well, I would of hated to attempt those alone. The Queen trolled DX and I pretty hard tonight giving us three legendary helms and one legendary chest piece. I think her and the Cryptarch are in on this together because I also got trolled on my very first legendary engram (at least it was a blue rocket launcher better then the first one I had). Ohwell though, I just hit rank 1 with Dead Orbit so one more rank to grind and I'll be able to start buying armor if I can't get any better arm and leg pieces out of this event (hit 24 also by getting a new piece of arm armor out of the Crucible).
  8. Really? I absolutely adore Clash. IMO it's the only good mode in Crucible (then again I've only done Control, I haven't done any of the others and I despise Control). I have no trouble killing people higher in level and haven't noticed any advantages that they might have. I believe level advantage means the stats they get off the weapons and armor and not abilities. I would be disappointed if they disabled my higher level abilities (like my Golden Gun making enemies explode when they die, I love that so much). After fighting a multitude of Bladedancers I'm going to have to start leveling it. It's pretty OP for multiplayer, don't know how many times I've been killed by cloaked hunters or by their damn super. Makes me think Bladedancer was designed for the Crucible. Meh, I took a break from FFXIV for this so I'll be going pretty hardcore in it for awhile (I will get me some exotic gear). Plus I'm extremely OCD when it comes to grinding rep and don't like leaving it for awhile so yea no break until Dead Orbit is at Rank 3.
  9. Thankfully I'm off on the 23rd and 24th when the event starts but those are the only two days I'll get any significant playtime in for it (and at night to boot, back on my normal schedule starting today since I skipped the concert due to this damn cold). I'll be joining Dead Orbit myself as soon as I get 200 more glimmer (which should be shortly, getting on here in a bit to do some farming and maybe crucible matches). I figured the chances of obtaining legendaries through engrams was going to be rough but thats freaking ridiculous. Ohwell, faction grinding it is (and I'm oh so used to it from FFXIV).
  10. Heh, the soccer ball. Was a lot of fun to kick it around until someone kicked it into the stairs and it disappeared I noticed you found yourself a blue hand cannon while I was on the website this morning. I just got myself a new auto rifle out of the Crucible this morning (along with my first piece of light gear, a blue helm). I'll have to hit that farming strategy up again tonight, tried it for awhile yesterday and only got greens and three blues to drop. Gah, the end of story mission was pretty epic if I have to say so myself. Had me on the edge of my seat for the majority of it (but DX and I kicked some major ass). I'll say I was somewhat disappointed with how the story ended for now and I'm really hoping they'll be expanding on it in the upcoming expansions (which I still need to buy). After seeing the end of the story I can somewhat see where that theory carries a little weight. I won't go into details but I have to agree that we might just be the bad guys in this story. Just my hunch based on things said during cut scenes and the lore on some of the grimoire cards. Will be interesting to see what come next.
  11. Gah, so much for going to the FFDP concert. Sicker then a dog atm. Why does this always happen when I want to go have fun? /sigh, guess I'll be on Destiny tonight.

I hear that. About 1/4 to 1/2 of everyone I know right now is either sick or has a sick relative right now. There's some strong viruses going around. Get better soon.

  12. Hmmm by the looks of it they're on the right path for making a good game. Story seems to be somewhat interesting. Not too sure I'm hip on that combat system though, materializing weapons out of nowhere seems rather strange and I'm not him on the real-time aspect of it though. Hopefully there will be more game play footage soon to show the game off some more (and maybe explain the combat system).
  13. Yes, we will get playtime in (we got some in tonight, we'll get more in later). I'll be off for the next 4 days but sadly I won't be able to play on Thursday (Five Finger Death Punch concert, not really a sad thing but no Destiny play time). My plan over them 4 days is to get to 20 so I'll be on quite a bit Tuesday and Wednesday (during the day as well, holy crap ain't that a twist). Heh, as I was saying I two manned Devil's Lair on Saturday after the third guy dropped out shortly after you start defending your Ghost. The other guy and I wiped once there but did the rest of the strike like pros. Actually made the Strike more enjoyable as we had to work together and pick our fights carefully. After the Moon Strike I am not looking forward to the Venus one if it's supposed to be harder. We're definitely going to have to do it at the required level though, sucks being practically useless and dieing all the time
  14. If what I saw in the one stream I was watching on Tuesday is from the Moon Strike we have some fucking hard ass fights ahead of us. The final boss of that Strike is a giant Hive creature (kinda looks like a Thrall on mega steroids) and he looks like a major bitch to kill and as I said above I hear the Venus boss is even worse then that. I really do hope so because it'll be extremely fun to do them if it offers a challenge. I'm only burned out because I had already done that stuff twice which is why I was holding out hope for our Beta characters to transfer. Now that I'm done with all the beginning stuff I'm really looking forward to the rest of the story. That's exactly what I was afraid of Sledge plus it's the same system FFXIV uses without the additional abilities (with gear making your character a higher level then you really are, effectively my Monk is lvl 90 even if my level is capped at 50). I was really hoping Destiny would avoid the MMO formula but sadly it doesn't seem like they did. I really don't want to be grinding out all the shit I've already done over and over again just to hopefully get a piece of gear that increases my Mote score and to get the required marks to buy the gear from the Vanguard/Crucible/other faction vendors. /sigh, hopefully it won't be as tedious as it is in MMO's. And I just saw a picture on twitter of a guy I follow who's character is effectively lvl 44 which I'm taking to mean there is no actual level cap for the Mote system atm. That's freaking ridiculous considering the amount of time it took him to get that (which was not through Vanguard or Crucible gear alone due to the 100 mark cap per week, must of gotten some really good drops on his way to that).
  15. I've noticed that too. Knights are throwing their healing shield up more often as well especially after taking a critical hit from a Sniper Rifle or a Rocket Launcher. Kinda glad they did this seeing as how they didn't dodge as much in Beta and made them feel like easy enemies to kill even though they're higher up the food chain. I finally got a Sniper Rifle worth using before I got offline last night (the Gozen, same one we had when beta ended). Sadly it's the only green weapon I have and I still haven't had a chance to use it (I logged shortly after getting it). I've been seeing a lot of people with blue gear running around on the Tower at levels 15 and above so we probably won't be seeing any of the good stuff till around then (sadly, hoping that Devil's Lair will have something good). Also, is it me or is this game just a little to freaking easy when it comes to leveling? I ran into a level 23 while I was grinding out a level on Earth last night and I've heard from those random streams I've watched that there are already people who have maxed out there levels and I believe they've also maxed out how far you can go with the Mote of Light level up option. This worries me a little as if it's this easy to hit max level with a days worth of playing what the hell do we have to look forward to until the expansion stuff comes out? I understand Vault of Glass is supposed to keep us busy for hours on end but it's only a matter of time before a group gets through it and posts walkthroughs online making it easier for the rest of us to get through it (well if we can find a group of like minded individuals to get through it, going to be hard to find additional people to take this on). I honestly don't want to get stuck in the old MMO formula of grinding out instances for better gear only to sit on my hands until something newer and better comes out and I really don't want to get stuck doing Crucible for something to do until we get those newer options. On a side note we should really put a clan together in game so we can represent. Was thinking about it last night while surfing the Bungie site (plus there are a few trophies linked to doing Strikes and Raids as an entire clan group). Just something to think about.
  16. Damn you limited edition bastards. I only got the Sparrow since I had the normal version on pre-order (they sold out of limited edition's before I could change my order). The Sparrow is nice, I like it. The quick braking isn't anything special but you can't expect much out of it. It's not like these things can fight in battle so it's kinda worthless. Meh, I'm underwhelmed right now but that's only because I've just been doing the same crap we did in Alpha and Beta. Starting when I get on next I'll get to start doing the Moon missions after the one we got the play in Beta (hit level 8 before I got off yesterday, don't know if I'll play anymore this week or hold off till my days off again next week). Might have to hit up The Devil's Lair for better gear as well (gear drops have been abysmal for me in retail, no where near as good as what I was seeing in Beta. Wonder if they tweaked that a bit before release or if they just increased drop rates for Beta). Plus I'm extremely curious to see what the Strike on the moon is (still grayed out for me, hoping that changes after I clear the next few story missions). Watching some of the live streams that were going Tuesday I'm really looking forward to some of the moon missions, they look freaking spectacular and challenging (more so then when we experienced before). Someone even commented that Venus sucks like all hell (which I look forward too). Sadly most people were streaming Crucible so I didn't get to see much outside of that (which is honestly pretty boring, I'll probably only do it for the Trophies associated with it).
  17. Well so much for overnight delivery, won't be able to play Destiny till tomorrow when my copy arrives. Damn apparently bad weather >.<

Dude that fucking sucks. That shit shouldn't fly. They fucked up so they shouldn't get it until everyone who else got theirs. This is one of the reason I don't pre-order in stores, shit like this always happens.

Yeah, The cashier I spoke to said she was going to call the DM to hunt another one down, but if I dont get a call before I get off work tomorrow, I'm going up there and tell them what I think of them and get my money back. They'll never get another dime out of me either way.

Gamestop has screwed my pre order bonuses plenty of times years ago. I've only bought watch dogs and destiny from them in the past 10 years, but after hearing how they screwed you I think I'll switch back to online only orders now.

  18. I'm the reverse, DLC for multiplayer games seems like a waste for me (then again I hate the whole system in general).
  19. Esports isn't helping the case any that's for sure but this problem has been around since it became a thing like DX said. I remember the days before Xbox Party Chat, good god I hated every minute of being in the normal game chat mode since I used to play COD4 with a group of classmates all the time. When Party Chat was implemented I thought it was one of the best things ever since I no longer had to listen to the 12 year old boys saying I was a 40 year old virgin living in my parents basement raping little boys (yes I actually did have a kid say this to me because I wiped the floor with him in a COD match. Not my problem he sucks at checking his corners in a match that it's quite obvious that I'm wiping his team out with a shotgun by camping corners (yea I was a camper, even had the pro-perk that gave me a fire and tent (inside joke)). I quit going to GameSpot to read gaming news because of all the political crap they go into now and I'm getting quite sick of seeing it on VG247. All I want is news on games, coverage of game shows, and the occasional humor article that reminisces about the good old days of gaming. I don't want political crap saying our "culture" is hateful. Yes there are a lot of bad eggs in our community but sadly it's the same way with any hobby you get into now-a-days. There will always be elitists pricks who think they're better then you, their favorite sports team is the best, and so on and so forth but we're not all like that. A good 60% of gamers these days are in their 20's and 30's, we're all pretty mature people who want to play games as an escape from reality. Don't lump us in with the rest that use it as a status symbol (a very bad one at that). Sadly it's just another way for the media to portray us as mean spirited people. The whole violent video games makes people kill others thing was enough, we really don't need this on top of it (even if we all know it's a load of bullshit).
  20. Seems like it's a mini campaign by the looks of the trailer (they call it a campaign at the end of the vid). I guess this means I should get off my lazy ass and beat Watch Dogs before this comes out since I have the season pass.
  21. Didn't you know Sledge all gamers are asshats. I thought this was general knowledge. All kidding aside they need to realize that the majority of the problem comes from the games being played as well as the general age of the community. Most of the hate crap comes from the younger generation of gamers who think it's hip and cool (god I can't believe I said that) to be a complete dick to everyone. Games like COD perpetuate this because kids seem to think that high kill counts in matches equal skill and bragging rights. Sadly this mentality also carries into other games as these kids can't get it through there head that other games are not like COD where you can brag about stuff like that. Honestly if the industry would do away with games like COD you'd probably see a massive switch over to more pleasant gaming with our peers. Sadly our generation suffers mildly from this problem as well but the majority of us have grown up and moved on (I know I used to be quite the asshat back in my Halo and COD4 days). FFXIV's community has been one of the most awesome communities I've been apart of in my years of gaming. Don't get me wrong there are asshats in this game as there are with any MMO but the majority of the players are pretty awesome people as they're always willing to help out in any way they can. It also helps that the game is centered around group activities as there is a lot of stuff in this game that requires you to group up. Honestly its been a long time since I've played a game with this friendly atmosphere (I never ran into this in SWTOR, mostly because I stick to myself and generally ignore others).
  22. Yea I've been rather underwhelmed by the offerings for PS4. They need to actually get some better content on the console before offering stuff because I am rather sick of the indie titles. I might download Velocity but considering Destiny is less then 2 weeks away I don't see the point. The games that Xbox users are getting on the one are so much better.
  23. Eh, you'd probably be wondering what the hell is going on but you can always go look up and read a summary of the plot for D2 if you want to play D3.
  24. Never did use the dagger, all about Rapid Fire and Sentries with homing rockets. Cut down most champions in seconds and most bosses in under a minute (could be faster but damn hatred runs out to damn fast with Rapid Fire (even with the decreased hatred use rune slotted in)). Was thinking of taking my Wizard up but I lost all interest in the game after that disappointing boss fight at the end. I was expecting so much more like I said. That was one of my biggest disappointments as well. The skill tree was so intricate in D2 that is was fun tweaking shit just so you could get that extra bit a damage out of an ability (my Lightning Sorc was OP back in the day, sadly I never did get a chance to fully finish her gear set out and don't get my started on my Bone Nec. The things he could do still amaze me).
  25. Pfft, talk about a disappointment of a game. I'm happy it tied up loose ends from D2 but my god the game was boring as hell (note this is only having beaten core D3, I don't own nor will I buy Reaper of Souls). I was really hoping for some climactic fight in the end only to be disappointed with just how the game ended. Maybe it's because Demon Hunters are OP but I just found this game disappointingly easy. Story was good though, I'll give it that but this just wasn't the Diablo game I was hoping for after how awesome D2 was. I guess that's what happens when you core Diablo designers leave and go create a much more superior game (the Torchlight series).
