  1. Gotta love how the government thinks it has the right to control the internet. I find it funny that the two senators from my state are still on the fence, hopefully they'll get with it and go against it.
  2. As with last year my ass is working all night
  3. Bah humbug! Meh, just got money from my Grandmother and a Kindle Fire from my parents. As for plans my ass gets to go to work tonight so I slept all day.
  4. Playstation Network is what PSN stands for GG. Ooh ooh I play TOR Dubie. On Mask of Nihilus, Imperial side (and most likely another server when my friend starts, he wants to play Republic).
  5. Yea the single player isn't too great, I'm maybe 1/3rd of the way through it and am not impressed (too many cliche sequences and it "borrows" quite a bit from other fps games placed in modern settings). MP though is fun as hell (I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I had, beta was a little disappointing for me). Still need to try co-op (that is if I can ever quit playing MP).
  6. lol, getting that a lot today Eh, just money and I was taken out for dinner (which was quite awesome).
  7. I don't think there will ever be a computer that can keep up with you Epples. Interesting, can't wait to see this in action when they get it out.
  8. Not that I really cared, I just would of dropped the DVD component. Just wish the price change would of dropped too.
  9. I love Fox so much (sarcasm implied), I mean lets make these actors work for less even though the show they voice act for makes us billions of dollars just so we can pocket the excess. And people wonder why I hate Fox (besides the whole lets cancel Firefly after one season and cancelling Lie to Me after three)
  10. Been on it the last two days, must say I am enjoying it but the freaking lag last night (played before I went to work) was pissing me off. Totally suck though, I need to relearn the Battlefield controls again (been over a year since I played Bad Company).
  11. Impulse is basically just Steam, it's just missing some of Steam's features. (http://www.impulsedriven.com/, if you want to take a look at it). I only use it because it's linked to my Stardock account for Sins of a Solar Empire. There's also Origin but that's only if you want to give EA more money, which who wants to do that (it's there option for digital content).
  12. Pfft, that is where the market is but the main problem is content. Half the crap they have up is only up for a month max and it's gone due to licensing issues (which seems to be a major problem with Netflix, half the crap I want to watch is taken off of instant queue before I get a chance to watch it). If they ever get that problem ironed out then I'll finally be happy.
  13. It's probably going to force me into dropping the Qwikster half since I rarely watch my Netflix DVD's anymore and I wasn't to impressed with their move towards this (I read the whole email from the CEO last night). It's cool they're adding games into the mix now but splitting the service into two companies is rather stupid. I'll wait till the switch occurs and decide then. It all depends on if the upgrade for game rentals is going to add to the existing cost or not. If it does then I'm dropping it.
  14. I have an account but have never fully used it. That reminds me I should re-download it and get my copy of portal up and running again (I got it free when I bought my new laptop). Most of my friends use it and seem to like it but I've never been big into it (I was never a big Valve fan and most of the games on Steam I can get on Impulse if I want them (only reason I use Impulse is due to Sins of a Solar Empire)). Yea go get SC2 Sledge, its a great game (though I still need to beat it).
  15. Bah considering you talking about it and my freaking co-workers bragging about it I went ahead and pre-ordered it. It better be worth it damn it, that put the total of game pre-orders over my comfort zone. Bah, Elite is going to be a joke. Paying that much money for a year on top of the money paid for XBL services isn't worth it. Could care less if I get all the dlc for free (technically not) and first. DLC is a joke when it comes to COD games. Then again it's all about the money.
  16. I don't see Microsoft going anywhere anytime soon in the console market no matter what they do to the publishers and devs. Most publishers could care less about the stuff mentioned in the article, they look at one thing and that's money. Both consoles bring in tons of revenue for publishers due to being on two platforms (I don't consider the Wii or the new joke system Wii-U to be any competition, neither will be able to support the games the 360 and PS3 do) and thus they could care less. Plus you already know Microsoft won't change their attitude, why should they have to? I could care less what format a game is in and that can be seen since I only own a 360. I refuse to buy a PS3 due to a severe lack of games worth buying for the console and since 90% of the games on the PS3 I can just turn around and buy on the 360 (well the games I want that is). The only company in any trouble of being pushed out of the console race is Nintendo. Lack luster 3DS sales forced the companies main execs to take severe salary cuts and most of the industry's major players predicts the Wii-U to be a huge flop. Nintendo has been making nothing but bad decisions since the Wii and DS came out, I see them going the way of Sega.
  17. Way to go Micheal Bay, you have officially killed the childhoods of tons of adults who grew up loving this franchise. You sir are a douche. Guess I won't have to take the time in seeing this one then. The first sucked and the second one was worse (though the action made up for some of that).
  18. Lets see what am I playing now. Currently playing: Deus Ex: Human Revolution Toy Soldiers: Cold War (already beat it, just achievement farming now) Starcraft II (on and off atm, trying to figure out whats wrong with my video card and why it keeps blue screening my laptop) On the back burner/not focused on but still playing occasionally: Call of Duty: Black Ops (still trying to beat the single player campaign) Mass Effect 2 (trying to finish my Sentinel play through before March when 3 comes out) Pokemon White (beat the story, just taking my sweet time now before I beat the Elite Four) There are more but those are the current ones I'm playing (the others are games I play when I have an abundance of free time, which I am currently lacking atm (though I do suppose I should really get around to beating Star Ocean 4 and Resonance of Fate, those have been on the back burner forever)). Some of the games I'm better off not mentioning (Epples will have a pretty good idea of the type of game they are).
  19. That was quite impressive, really looking forward to seeing more about this down the road. For an indie game it's quite impressive looking, might give some of the bigger mech combat franchises a run for their money.
  20. Sadly BioWare has shown signs of giving into EA's little money making greed (ME2 was a really good game, don't get me wrong but I mean it suffered in a lot of the key aspects that made ME a really great game). I just hope BioWare didn't sell itself short with TOR (I mean it looks great and you can definitely tell it's BW quality but I'm afraid of what EA has made them compromise on). It's true, Trey always copies IW (problems and all). That's really the reason I never gave WaW a lot of chance when it came to multiplayer (the only COD I have not gone into prestige mode in except Black Ops). I really do miss MW, it was such a great game (and I was so damn good at it). I haven't been on it since like a month before MW2 came out so I really don't know how bad it's gotten since but I can only imagine based off of what you said. Sadly I was thinking of getting back on because Reach is boring and I no longer own MW2 (I traded it in after the first two months, got bored because MP was a cake walk and I was going 30 - 0 with just sniping at that time) so my MP game choices are limited (plus I refuse to play Black Ops or WaW MP anymore). Sadly the thing I'm noticing more and more of is publishers making studios make a lack-luster starting game and then sell-out to make DLC to gain even more money. It's really sad that they have this season pass shit coming out now for games (I mean $30 season pass for Gears 3 just to get all four future DLC's for $10 cheaper). It's the main reason why I'm mostly glad I haven't set foot into the industry yet (besides not having a portfolio atm or any job leads), I just don't think I could do that to gamers. I mean the whole "Here's the game you've been waiting 2 years for but it's not the whole game. 3 months from now we'll release this part for an additional $10 so you can get more story/MP maps" is getting really sickening. That's the main reason I haven't bought any of the map packs for Black Ops. I bought the ones for WaW but was extremely disappointed with them (and really wanted my money back). Hell I was disappointed with the shit BioWare released for the last ME2 DLC (god that was disappointing coming off of Lair of the Shadowbroker and Overlord). Sad thing is MW3 is going to suffer just as much from this problem and I almost actually had myself talked into getting it after seeing the new Spec-Ops and Survival stuff. Gah, I really hate the direction the industry is taking. I might just have to break down and buy BF3 in October, little more money then I wanted to spend but some of the new stuff I've been seeing coming out of Gamescom and PAX has me rather intrigued now (the jet combat is still the biggest selling point for me though).
  21. The only problem with COD is that Activision has two studios to make the COD every year thing a possibility (Treyarch and Infinity Ward) and thus quality suffers because one is good at story (I definitely think Trey writes a better story then Infinity Ward) and the other excels at multiplayer (Infinity Ward makes a better multiplayer game out of the two, even if it is still broken). That and Activision pushes it's studios too hard due to their greed for money (I mean look at the real money AH they're putting into Diablo 3, that definitely isn't Blizzard's idea). Quality suffers when your publisher wants a game every year just so they can come out on top in the money game. I have a feeling DICE will never give into the pressure from EA because DICE can just find another publisher. I mean there are plenty of publishers that would pick up a tried and true studio like DICE just for the amount of money Battlefield brings in. EA might be greedy but they aren't stupid, I doubt they'll push the subject (and if they do I really hope DICE walks and finds a different publisher. I might not be a big fan of the BF series but I'd hate to see a great game franchise like it fall into the COD formula).
  22. It's my Alienware just thinner, not really impressed. Though I do like the little side panel with it's buttons and LCD display (about the only thing I like about it.
  23. Bits and pieces when friends let me try it but the BF series has never interested me outside of the vehicle combat (which is the only reason I enjoyed Bad Company (the first one) while playing multiplayer). I don't doubt BF is better then COD when it comes to multiplayer because COD has always been broken (hence why I'm still debating if I'm going to pick up MW3 or just skip in entirely and spend that money on a game I know I'll enjoy). I'm just not overly interested in BF3 outside of being able to fly a jet. Sadly I'm just not overly interested with anything that's been coming out in the shooter genre as of late (the last 3 I've bought have been huge disappointments (MW2, Reach (was fun for awhile now it's just bleh), and Black Ops (I still haven't even broken rank 11 yet that's how bad I thought MP was in it)). The games are just carbon copies of the ones before them and I'm getting sick of it. Only way I'll pick BF3 up is if my friends talk me into it otherwise I'll skip it, got enough money going out for games this year (plus the new Ace Combat is out in Oct, which is more of a priority for me then another shooter).
