Just got out of the Rob Zombie/Korn concert in Bismarck, ND. Was fucking awesome!

Who doesn't hate him for that
Oh it was completely sold out, Rob said it himself when he took to stage. I was down on the floor and we were packed in there like sardines.

Season 2 isn't too bad but it was nowhere near as good as Season 1. Plus to really understand what's happening in Season 2 you need to watch The Black Contractor, the 4 ep OVA that spans the time between the two series. It explains why certain things are happening in Season 2. Wish it would of aired before Season 2, would of helped me understand everything a little better.

Friend of mine is having the same problem. Let's just say he's far from impressed.

Vote for Golden Joystick Awards and get a free game
Strider Hiryu replied to Sledgstone's topic in Video Games
I voted but sadly I already own both games (own Mafia II for 360 and bought Civ V last year when it was on sale) but I picked Mafia II, figured it'd be fun to play through again. Sad to say most of my votes went to Halo 4 since it's the only game in some of the categories I've actually played. Voted for Destiny in most anticipated. Other ones were hit or miss (hell some categories I hadn't even played any of the games).- 6 replies

I tried to do it last night but my internet kept dropping me so I gave up. Might try it tonight if my internet holds out. I really want to try it with a tank because that looks like fun.

God I really want MW3 only to see what happens in the end since I've played the other two, just couldn't justify buying it since I didn't have the money at the time. Now I just won't buy it due to my hatred of COD. Never beat BO1 so I don't even know what happens in the end (I'm on the last level but the night I was in the middle of it my father had a medical emergency so I had to drop it, haven't gone back since).

, I have to try that now if only for the laughs. It's not surprising that X1 is getting the new maps first. Pretty sure Microsoft threw all the money they could at EA to get that perk. Anything to get there console to see you know.

Any campaign from any shooter is better then BF3's campaign was, I was sorely disappointed with the entirety of it (and I actually beat the damn game). If felt like a rehash of COD4's story, just done worse. That sucks to hear they toned down the humor for BC2, that was one of the major selling points for the first one (for me anyways). Going through a major firefight and hearing your computer buddies making inappropriate jokes always cracked me up. Plus the ending always makes me laugh (I'm honestly surprised they're not in a military prison at the beginning of BC2 after what they pulled).

Never got a chance the play BC2 but I did play the original and loved it, some of the best fun I've had with a multiplayer game in recent years (not the mention the single player campaign for the first one was fun as hell with a lot of quirky humor thrown in). Would love to see a BC3 (thought that means I need to get off my ass and get BC2).

I've gotten roughly 12 kills with the damn gun and only when an enemy is almost right on top of me, only seems to be effective at close to medium range. Only time I take out engineer now is if I die while defending a flag and the enemy brings in a tank so I respawn and rain unholy hell on them with the RPG. I've gotten one Airburst kill since watching that video. Was camping the roof on Flag C (or should i say defending) and watching the carnage at Flag B when a sniper decided to take pop shots at me from the rubble so I decided to try it out. He hid behind a ruined wall so I locked onto the wall and did as the video said and rained hell down on him (only to be killed by a bastard who snuck up on me. Kinda wish it took less the three shots to kill somebody though. 10 shots with it isn't all that much.

Based on what I've seen on the 360 I'm far from impressed with this game, feels exactly like BF3 with different maps as Sledge said. I've played a few matches since yesterday (completely getting my ass handed to me, I'm really out of practice). I've been having fun but honestly do not see myself buying this atm (I'll have to wait to get it anyways since I'm not picking up a PS4 till next year, even then I probably still won't buy it). I will say this though I do love playing on the engineer (though I hate the crappy PDW I'm stuck with, thing has no freaking range) and dropping RPG shots into unsuspecting tanks. Now that I know what the Airburst is I'll be pulling out the Support class more often, get me some revenge on those damn snipers who hide on top of the skyscraper (bastards).

It scares me to think if Jackson plans on making a Silmarillion movie, that thing would be split into at least 5 movies all 4-5 hours long (you want a hard read go read The Silmarillion, that thing is hard to get through). Yea, Jackson left out some of the best parts of the LotR books (like Tom Bombadil, by far the most awesome character ever created). Give them a read when you get a chance but I warn you the first part of the book is freaking boring. I don't know how many times I fell asleep in the middle of reading it (the only good part was Tom). I wouldn't be surprised by an extended edition being longer but I doubt it'll be 4 hours long. The extended editions of the LotR movies only added about 30-45 minutes a piece (not to mention all the extra crap (the LotR Blu-ray set has 15 discs! I still haven't attempted to go through them yet (yea I bought them, hated the movies but they were still entertaining)).

Yea I know but it's still hard to swallow, especially considering how truthfully he stayed to the first part of the book in the first movie. It just kills me to know he has to concede to stupid marketing ploys to get his movie watched. I like Legolas, always have but honestly the movie is just going to be strange with him in it. /sigh, it'll still be good with him in it anyways because Smaug will be making an appearance finally.

As much as I loved the first Hobbit movie (yes the guy who hated the LotR movies actually liked the first one, Jackson actually stuck to the first part of the book pretty damn well) I'm sick of Peter Jackson taking liberties in his movies. Legolas has no place in this movie as he was not in the book. Why he needs to be in the movie escapes me? Hey now I liked the singing and dish throwing scene, thought it added a little bit of humor and awesome Dwarf antics to the movie. I'm just looking forward to finally seeing Smaug, was so disappointed when they didn't show him in the first movie.

Started playing FFXIV: ARR, gotta say I'm quite impressed with it.

Thats what I hate.. I just saw some guy was selling his WoW account for $900. I suppose with the amount of time dedicated to a game, maybe its worth something.
-
People sorely overestimate the actual value of their accounts. I'm sure that guy has top tier gear (from the last or newest raid instance), probably full whatever season arena gear, and what not so he thinks it's worth that much money. Honestly, I've considered selling mine at one time but considering it's now linked to my Battle.net account I wouldn't be able to play SCII. That'd be downright disheartening if I did that.
-
At least now WoW will save your character if you want to resume because of free to play.. I'd hate to put in all those hours and have my guy perm killed. I have a Guild Wars account and my character is great.. but eventually they'll shut the server down and I'll loose him and my mini pets forever. Even though I only play it a couple times a year around christmas, I'd hate to loose all that progress.

Mortal Kombat Legacy II Episodes
Strider Hiryu replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Movies, TV & Books
Gah, why stop at 10? Why? I hate freaking cliffhangers, especially ones like that. -
Definitely want to pick it up after watching that.

Prefer Android as it's the only phone OS I've dealt with (plus I have a hatred of all things Apple so I won't even purchase an iPhone, Blackberry doesn't interest me, and I don't feel like giving Microsoft anymore money (plus I'm not to hip on their phones anyway)). Currently I have a Galaxy S4 and love the phone to death, much faster then my Bionic was and just an overall nice phone (I have all the special crap disabled since I find it useless and it wastes battery power).
-
Haven't gotten to far in the game yet so I don't have access to every weapon but I've been enjoying the Sniper Rifle I just picked up tonight (high powered scope and silencer, makes for a lot of fun) and the grenade launcher I also picked up tonight. I also enjoy the shotgun, makes for a lot of fun when you shooting up gangs. The thing about GTA5 is weapons can finally be modified now so I think I'll enjoy every weapon I get my hands on (not much but you can place silencers, scopes, and extended clips on weapons which make them a lot better then the ones you got in 4).
-
X'D at that video, really want to know what they used for it. I voted GTA since I've only had a few minutes of experience with SR3 (until it decided to fuck my graphics card over, haven't played since) and because I'm loving GTA5 (haters gonna hate but I honestly think it's a great game so far). From what I've noticed both games are pretty similar in how they play. The only real difference is SR doesn't take itself seriously and places more emphasis on being over the top and humorous whereas GTA takes everything seriously with very little humor.
-
I broke down and bought it the minute I got the email saying Limbo was now part of it (I've been wanting the game for a long time). Honestly don't know why I waited so long the game is amazing. Also picked it up for FTL and Bastion, Brutal Legend is just a perk.

Did they, in any way, link it to Chronicles seeing as how this is supposed to be after it? Just wondering because that was the one thing I was worried about, didn't want to see it if it had no tie-ins with the movies (considering it's weird he's not, you know, leading the Necromongers).

What's wrong with cheesy? I love that aspect of the original Transformers, it's why I have such found memories of it as a kid (memories that Micheal Bay bent over and raped with his crappy movies).
