  1. After watching that I can't wait for this movie to come out (absolutely loved the first one). I honestly didn't think Jim Carrey would be good in this movie but after that I think he'll fit in quite well.
  2. Nice. Odd that it isn't a stock feature, you'd think something like this would of been core feature.
  3. Mordin Solus. I loved that Salarian to death. A great companion, singer of Gilbert and Sullivan (by far the best part of ME2), and all around hyper-active scientist you don't want experimenting on you or near you. He was the only companion I did not switch out in ME2 and used him through every run through I did. I actually cried in ME3 when *spoiler for those who have not played the game* because that's how much of an impact he made on me when I played ME2. Plus who doesn't love his idle chatter when you talk to him in the Tech lab. Lt. Col. Alvin H. "Chopper" Davenport. Those who have played Ace Combat 5 will know who he is (and yes I felt a strong emotional attachment to a pilot in an flight sim game). This guy was the soul of Wardog squadron and a great wingman. Always quick with a joke, always by your side in the thick of battle, and willing to do what was necessary to accomplish the mission. Due to how old the game is I will post spoilers on this, I actually did cry (and still do every time I play through AC5) when he sacrificed himself in Mission 17 by allowing the civilians to evacuate the stadium before crashing his damaged fighter in it. A selfless act that has stuck with me to this day when I play any Ace Combat game.
  4. Wow, I'm severely underwhelmed by this announcement (or the little bit I watched). Why would you announce a console without actually showing the console or the prototype console at least? It makes no sense and that controller is retarded (I almost like the idea of the touchscreen better, almost). I'm slightly happy I stopped supporting Sony when the PS3 came out (I'd still like a PS3 mind you but only for like 3 or 4 games). With this announcement I fear what MS has in store for the new Xbox. I might be with Myk and just stick to PC gaming. Destiny has already been a confirmed game for the 360 and its predecessor since info was leaked a few months ago. As DX said I'm sure there will be console exclusives for the titles content wise to try and draw players to one side or the other. I wouldn't expect much in the way of D3. Blizzard has dropped the ball big time with it and I highly doubt a console version will be worth buying (I only base this on the small amount of time I've played the game, I still haven't beaten it yet. Mostly because my internet keeps kicking me and since Blizz had to be retarded with the whole constant internet connection I've just given up hope playing it). Considering WoW has been Blizzard's priority since it came out (and since it's the money making whore that it is) I doubt you'll see anything Blizzard promised for the game anytime soon (PvP anyone, I think that was supposed to be put in months ago yet it's sadly still missing). I would expect MS to move our profiles over to the new live when it's released. They did it with the original live accounts for the original Xbox so I expect the same here. If not I'll be extremely pissed considering how many arcade games and downloaded titles I've bought.

Considering the fact that consoles will not be backward compatible in the next gen I'm pretty sure both companies won't stop supporting the current gen systems for quite awhile (especially considering the fact that the new Xbox is going to require a constant internet connection (or so has been reported). A lot of people don't like the idea of that (nor do I, with my crappy internet connection)). Plus as DX pointed out the original Xbox Live was shut down in 2010 due to lack of subscriptions. Plus most people won't update to the new system right away so they'd lose money if they stopped supporting the old systems right away (I, for one, will not be upgrading right away. I just bought my current 360 two years ago and I'm still paying off my laptop, no money for a new system. Plus I usually wait a year to make sure there's no major hardware or software problems with the new system (remember the 360 debacles)). Back on the actual subject I've been awaiting this announcement since Bungie left MS for Activision (and turned over the keys to Halo, an idea I still don't agree with or like. Don't get me wrong Halo 4 is fun but I don't like the direction 343 is taking franchise). Bungie has a lot of great talent on their team so I can't wait to see what the final product looks like and if they can really support their ideas for this game (the server thing has me wondering since, as DX pointed out, Activision doesn't like to run its own servers).
  6. http://www.gamespot.com/news/did-aliens-colonial-marines-suffer-because-of-borderlands-6403830 Whether there is a whole lot of truth in whats said in that article is question but it looks like Gearbox outsourced the majority of the game while they focused on their own title. Sad if you ask me, especially considering how long ago A:CM was announced to how long the turn-a-round on BL2 was. I wouldn't be surprised if Sega takes legal action against Gearbox if this all turns out to be true (I had no interest in this game but I thought you'd all find the above article interesting as you all seem to have been interested in the game).
  7. It's a set of 4 movies/OVA's (not an actual series persay, http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-02-12/ghost-in-the-shell/arise-anime-details-outlined) I'm actually looking forward to it (about the only real thing I've been looking forward to in the anime world recently) since it's been dead on the GitS front since Solid State Society and a prequel will be nice considering everything about Motoko that we know comes from after she joined Section 9. Since it's Production I.G. I'm pretty sure it'll be good (unless they go the same route they did with Blood-C, which was disappointing when you compare it to the Blood movie and Blood+).
  8. X'D I honestly do not no what to think of this movie. It was hilarious but at the same time so very wrong. I'm with Sledge though, everyone should at least see it once.
  9. Well there goes my childhood. TMNT, really? Why would anyone in their right mind give this man the keys to directing a movie for such an iconic franchise? This just goes to prove nobody in Hollywood knows what they're doing. /sigh
  10. It was rumored he planned on doing another after 3 but nothing was concrete until now. Again this man is going to continue to destroy my childhood. The first one was ok (wasn't happy with a lot of what he did but it turned out alright). the second one sucked (the only good part was Optimus's pimp ass fight before his death), and the third was outright horrible (I want that 154 minutes of my life back Bay).
  11. The ones I keep up on: http://www.megatokyo.com/ (though Fred seems to be getting slower and slower with comics now-a-days) http://headtrip.keenspot.com/index.html http://www.drowtales.com/index.php (my current favorite) Oglaf (just google it, due to the nudity and adult themes of the the comic stips I won't post of link. Extremely funny (and somewhat disturbing)) Squid Ops (re-booted recently and author seems to have gone missing, adult themes again so google it if interested) http://www.vgcats.com/ (when I remember it exists, I might check up on it once a month) http://www.xkcd.com I used to follow more then this back in the day (at least 3 times more then this). Sadly I've run out of time to be reading webcomics these days
  12. I don't have anything against him personally, I just think he's the worst possible director to pick to take up Star Wars (that and I really don't think Star Wars needs another three movies). I, personally, hated the new Star Trek movie. Not because I'm a huge Star Trek geek but because I honestly thought it was a bad movie (though I do think Simon Pegg made an awesome Scotty, the only thing out of the movie I liked).
  13. Yea no, not looking forward to this one bit. I sense a great disturbance in the force.
  14. You know I hate the time difference between us and Britain, makes watching soccer hard >_< (especially when you work nights)

GG when it comes to sports I'm one of the most un-American sports fans you'll ever meet. The only American sport of watch is football and only when my team is doing good (which hooray for the 49ers. Superbowl Baby!). I spend more time watching Soccer and Rugby (when I can, rarely shown on TV over here) then I do anything else sports wise.

Yes, thank you for beating the Falcons... I couldn't bare to see a Falcons logo in my superdome.

  15. I only found out about it being a Canadian show when I went to download it the other day on eztv. Saw the whole first season and was like "WTH it just started airing". So I went on over to wikipedia and found out the info. I just hope this doesn't end up like Sanctuary and getting cancelled after 4 seasons. I was beyond pissed when I heard Sanctuary was cancelled. The show had so much more potential to just up and end it like that (but that's a topic for another time).
  16. Just go download it Sledge, the whole first season is up on torrent sites. Like Sanctuary this is another Canadian show that SyFy picked up after the fact (I think this is why it got it's second season). I plan on dling it so as not to wait for each episode every week because the previews caught my interest.
  17. The original KOTOR was amazing, I think I've played it through at least 10 times (it never gets old). I doubt we'll see another KOTOR game, ever (unless EA decides to pull the plug on TOR, which might happen if server populations plummet again). If we do BioWare better do it because Obsidian dropped the ball hard with II (I liked it, it was fun and interesting but it just didn't have the feel that the first did (I guess that's also why I didn't like NW2 as much as the original). Plus I never got around to beating it because Kreia kept handing my ass to me in the last fight). Plus if it was made in the ME engine it'd probably be so much better.
  18. Been playing since release and I do enjoy it when I actually get to play it (long story but the gist is every time I start playing my modem resets itself disconnecting me, only game I have this problem with and I'm too lazy to call the isp to find out whats wrong (plus working nights makes it rather difficult)). Still don't have a 50 yet though (closest is my 45 Sith Assassin). Ever since the consolidation of servers I've been placed on The Harbringer (started out on Mask of Nihilius and then Drooga's Pleasure Barge). I play primarily Empire on either Aylanis (sith assassin mentioned before) or Ryvus (33 Sith Juggernaut) if you ever find yourself in those neck of the woods. I do have Republic characters but sadly the character stories for Republic are bland and boring (though I was enjoying my Trooper's story when I was playing him). Not to sure I'm happy with their move to Free-to-play but I have noticed (on the times I do get on) that the population of my server has risen since it was implemented. I'm just wondering if the expansion will add something more to do in the endgame (I've read that endgame is boring (both PvE and PvP wise) which is one of the reasons I haven't been making the hard push to 50 yet).
  19. I caught it here and there, have the first season downloaded just haven't had time to sit down and watch it. From what I've seen it looked like it had promise, then again half the stuff SyFy has been cancelling lately had promise or was actually really good *cough*Sanctuary*cough*
  20. Tis very spiffy, so much better then the white one
  21. The Atari is what my old babysitter used to use to keep me occupied so didn't get into trouble (true story, once I got to her place she'd tell me to go play Atari) Missile Command is by far the greatest game that ever came out for Atari. I used to sit and play that game for hours on end. I also enjoyed Defender, Asteroids, and good old Space Invaders (this game never gets old, hell I still play flash versions of it when I'm bored).
  22. This goes, without a doubt, to Melbu Frahma (the final boss of Legend of Dragoon). I don't even remember how many times it took me to beat him but all I know is that to this day I have only ever beat him once (and I've played through the game a few times since I first beat it). Close second goes to Necron from Final Fantasy IX. Again I have only ever beat him once and I have played through the game more then once since then (I mean it's easy if you have 4 dark matters but they don't tell you that you can only get the other three from the blasted auction and that they rarely show up (or that you will pay out your ass to get them)). God I was beyond frustrated with this boss (spent the better chunk of a month trying to beat him). I hated Quick Man in Mega Man 2 (not to mention his level) x_x
  23. Should I be scared? I mean the man does have a railgun he likes to shoot people with (and by people I mean me). j/k Congrats DX!
