I knocked out a few of the basic missions on Mercenary Kings. I kinda wish I could edit the controls, but other than that the game is pretty fun so far. They are going to have to patch the sound as it lags up a bit here and there. Plus pressing down some times changes your direction left to right weather you're using the stick or D pad.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DLC Campaign
DeathscytheX replied to Sledgstone's topic in Video Games
If this isn't April Fools I wouldn't be surprised one bit. Cod is dead... TITANFALL M*****F*****S!!!!!! MW3 is by far the worst COD, and I'll go as far as saying the worst FPS ever made. Sledgehammer had a hand in that to help the faux Infinity Ward along on their first go at it. -

Temple Run is was pretty good. I stopped playing phone games a long bit ago, they just drain battery and make the phone pretty warm. I remember when I had an iPhone 4 I was stuck in my store overnight for a IT overhaul and I was playing angry birds most the night. The phone would get so hot, the overheat message would come on, and I'd stick it in the frozen food freezer for 10 minutes to get the temp back down and keep playing.

Had my first Chipotle visit today. The barbacoa was pretty damn delicous as well as the guacamole... they just built the place too damn small.
-
No, we never went to Moe's. Its pretty good. Their selection of toppings / ingredients is vastly superior to Chipotles. I think Moe's burritos are $6.95, but on mondays all burritos are $5. Around 6-8pm that place is insanely busy. Chipotle tho.. The burritos are $7.95 I think. Ever since that price hike, I hardly go there anymore seeing as Moe's is closer, cheaper and comes with chips and salsa.

The super moves are acquired pretty much from the start... you go through learning mission where you absorb power from devices that grant you knew abilities. The last one always features a test drive of the super move.- 19 replies

Finished Blood-C... freakin weird. Guess I gotta watch the movie to finish it.
-
Pchan I'll probably watch the movie. Even when I dislike an anime for some reason I finish them anyways. I dunno why, I guess I dont like to leave a story or lack of unfinished. lol

It's easy for me to say NO these days because there's just no time in my schedule compared to what it used to be like maybe 5-8 years ago. It ain't cutting it if there's no quality and I use that for anime/ manga, television, movies, whatever else. You're lucky you have the time to see things through.
-
I guess thats the advantage of working the late shift. Not much to do when you get off at 11pm on a weekday around this city.

Mercenary Kings looks like a blast. Perhaps Strider, yourself, and I could put a 3 man team together. It looks like some old school side scrolling fun in online co-op form. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_edyCK0rKsU

So far so good. I just received my 3rd ability. I'll put the 3rd power in a spoiler tag just in case someone doesn't want to know what it is... its not really anything that could ruin the gameplay. But I've notice most game sites not revealing the 2 other powers in their reviews. Smoke- This is the power you start out with. This power seems to be the brute jack of all trades during combat. You're basic attack is a cinder blast which you can fire rapidly, you can also hold down the button for a large close range blast. You eventually unlock a cinder missile which does incredible damage and you can volley them off until you run out. The melee is a heated chain which comes in handy on enemies that get too close... your more powerful attacks like the cinder missile will hurt you if you fire them at targets that are too close. While you have smoke, you can dash into a cinder form and rematerialize. this will let you pass through objects like a chain link fence, or walls with gaps in them. Its also useful for avoid gun fire. You also have a non lethal attack smoke bomb which will cause lesser enemies to choke. This will open up the ability to either execute them or subdue them. Each power posses a "super move". This is acquired through taking down 7 enemies in a short time frame between each kill/subdue. In smoke's case it is the Orbital Drop as seen in most trailers. You launch up into the air and come down unleashing a fiery shockwave killing and destroying everything in its radius (at least for infamous, the symbol looks different from a heroic playthrough video I saw). Once you launch, you can adjust your drop area to a certain degree on your way back down. Neon- Neon is the second power you get, Its more useful for getting around and long distance fighting. The basic neon burst attack is far weaker than smoke, but if you zoom in, head shots become instakills on most targets. Unlike smoke you cannot charge up the basic attack for a bigger blast... the neon "missile" serves that purpose. Its not as good as the smoke missile as it needs to be charged, and its range is not as far. Neon's non-leathal is similar to the smoke bomb, but instead of choking enemies, it slows them down matrix style for easy head shots... this only lasts for about 1-2 seconds... plaything through as heroic gives you an option to make the effect last longer. Neon does not feature a dash ability. Instead it allows you to run in a neon state allowing bullets to pass through you, and also allowing you to run up walls. This is useful because under smoke you have to rely on smoke vents to get to the top of buildings, or a grappling system that all buildings may not accommodate in the best of ways. Neon's melee is further reaching than smoke as its a long neon beam sword. I found myself sticking with neon most of the time once I got it. Attacks seem to drain your power less as well, I assume because without precision they aren't as damaging. Neon's super move unleashes a massive wave of neon, capturing every enemy in its wake into a floating orb. You then unleash an insane amount of neon bursts from both hands sweeping the entire area in front of you. This will kill everything on your screen. Its less effective on vehicles and objects, but a lot more effective on enemies. It has more range than Orbital Drop, but if there is anyone behind you, they will still be there when you are finished. (You are temporarily invincible while you perform these moves, so anyone shooting at you cannot kill you before you have finished it) A final note I forgot to mention that when performing each powers "dash" ability, you will not heal. When on the brink of death it takes a good 5-6 seconds of not taking any damage to completely heal, this process pauses while dashing so you cannot abuse it that way.- 19 replies

Vikings Season 2 Episode Discussion (possible spoilers)
DeathscytheX replied to Sledgstone's topic in Movies, TV & Books
He was hallucinating before he was captured with the bible Floki gave him. I think the mass scene was excellent. He was seeing how similar the rituals between the vikings and Christians were and rejected the bread. The hallucinations is his inner conflict. Did I miss something? What was Aslaug's prophecy on baring another son? Could it be that she dies in child birth? The seer is definitely one of my favorite characters, as little screen time that he gets. Jarl Borg, Ragnar, and Earl Harleson respected him despite if they disliked what he had to say. Telling Ragnar it was not his choice to make will probably mean one of them dies. This leads me to Jarl Borg. By the preview for next week, it seems that his new wife has died, holding her skull and asking it questions means he has lost his marbles completely. He already isn't trustworthy, but now he is completely unstable. I think he will end up killing Aslaug as some kind of vengeance later down the road while she bares another son for Ragnar... after all Jarl Borg's wife was pregnant when he left her. Horik is a buffoon. He seems to be a terrible king. Ragnar ran things until he had to leave Wessex, and now he wants to use Jarl Borg again after fighting with him, making a pact, and then turning his back on him? I'd have to side with Jarl Borg on this one. If I were him, I'd be telling them to f*** off. I love Ecbert's character so far. Asking Athelstan about what should be done with the woman accused of being unfaithful was telling about his character. Christian law was absurdly oppressive to women during this time, and I think Ecbert can see how bullshit that is. Athelstan learned a lot of viking culture while he was with Ragnar, and I think the fact that Ragnar acknowledged him as a free man left that impression on him which leads to his conflict with Christianity. Horik is going to want vengeance on Ecbert, but I think Ragnar is going to want to reenter what ever deal Ecbert had in mind.... which will probably be attacking Aelle for more territory. -

Based in history as in the cliché saying "based on a true story". Sure there are liberties taken and there will always be historians groaning about it like they added horned helmets to the costumes or something. It definitely has more to do with history that swamp people.

Since it was deleted in a previous post http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhxU_vo2cP0 Next to Minako, Makina, and Erza... Ookami is still a top 5 anime crush.

This is a show that is actually worth watching and is based in history. They need more like this and less like swamp people, ice road truckers, and ax men. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zw7h6jA4OYg
