  3. The final Trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness before it releases May 17th... and it leaves some intriguing questions. Is that the USS Excelsior? I guess a Miranda Class ship would make it too obvious jussst in case.... X'D Click here to view the article

  5. A Saudi National has already been caught here on a Student Visa. It was most likely Terrorisim. We don't need this shit. It just gives the government a reason to take away more of our rights.
  6. Best episode yet of the series IMO. 1. I think Rolo's life will be short lived now that he accepted baptism. Floki is right about this one. He might still last into next season, but If he tries to turn on his brother for Siggy, Odin will be on Ragnar's side. 2. How terrible for Ragnar's wife having a miscarriage. I'm still not sure on Siggy's intentions, but right now she seems true to her word. 3. Floki is definitely becoming one of the most dynamic characters of the series. I feel like he is closer to Ragnar than his own brother.

  8. Thanks I shortened my life span at the Hungry Owl by getting the ultimate stuffed tony burger and bacon topped mac-n-cheese.
  9. I was in VA the last time those things were out. We collected millions of them. They are harmless and very stupid bugs. I've seen them fly into polls knocking themselves out. I was around 13 years old, We filled up a mongo bat full of them.. took us probably 5-6 hours to do so, and then I found an unsuspecting neighborhood kid and slung tens of thousands of them upon him... they all clung to his clothing singing while he ran around screaming. X'D LMAO GLORIOUS!! If you cant remember Mongo Bat.
  10. I guess it was becasue the trailer portrayed it to be something that it was not. I walked away pretty disappointing with it.
  11. District 9 was pretty bad, thats what has me worried... because they trailer was this awesome for it.
  12. Its one of those that looks like its going to be pretty good, but has all the potential to be a suck fest. I'll check it out. I hope its good.
  13. I'm glad that an ax was put through that fat troll that was always doing the Earl's dirty work. That dude was so annoying, I've been waiting for him to get killed.
  14. Thats interesting about the PS3, but they don't get away with that on XBL even for microtransactions. It was XBL that started the initial outrage of DLC pricing. For a while, console players were missing out on DLC for games because while it was Free for PC versions, MS requires all DLC to be approved by them and then they charge for it regardless. Developers didn't want to be seen as having a double standard by having content free on one platform and not the other. MS has a pretty firm grip on their service, and no one gets away with making money without owing them a piece of the pie. It seems strict, and at the time it was seen as a disadvantage, but now paying has become the standard. These days maps are not free on the PC anymore. Microtransactions within a game? If you click purchase, the XBL prompt pops up asking you if you want to pay by points or paypal. All payments go through the systems standard purchasing screen weather you do it from the XBL Store, or within the games own marketplace. Now here and there free stuff gets through, but I assume you have to be a big time developer with a ton of pull... Borderlands 2 has provided free content they squeeze in through patches and COD World at War had a free map from the few I can recall. In the case of BL2, they also have "shift" which is some service provided within the game you can access from the title screen... all it really does is allow you to enter codes that have been frequently advertised on facebook and other social media outlets to give you a "golden key" which allows you to access a special chest in the central safe zone of the game. The chest can only be opened by these keys that are not dropped by anyone. This chest will always give you a purple rare weapon/shield/class mod that is the level requirement you are at. Its a pretty innovative way to give players free loot.
  15. The XBL arcade store has sales here and there. In the summer they generally have an "summer of arcade" where 5 XBLA games come out, buying them all will run you the price of 1 new major title game, but generally if you buy them all you either get a 6th game free, or you get a discount on the bundle. However 2010 was the only one that really interested me. http://www.giantbomb.com/summer-of-arcade-2010/3015-5553/ Limbo and Tomb Raider: Guardian of Light were amazing.
  16. Thats the one thing I don't get about PS3... you cant download anything while the system is off. While I see you point. The main source of income for MS is its DLC and online community. Its been built that way through its XBL subscription service. Chances are if you have an xbox, you're paying for xbox live.... While Xbox does have single player games, the majority of its library is dedicated towards co-op and multiplayer. People may not like it, but online required is going to be a fixture of gaming in the future, especially when Google fiber goes global. Another way to look at this is the fact that most developers want online requirements. Lets say MS gives them this, while Sony does not? Who will get most the games, timed exclusives, and DLC content? If Microsoft has been pressured into this by the gaming industry then they are doing whats best for their business in terms of raking in exclusives. Meanwhile, Sony's console may claim that it doesn't have online requirements, but I can guarantee that games like Destiny will require online connectivity regardless. So while MS gives into pressure, it will adversely affect PS4 anyways. Online requirement will serve a different purpose on consoles. Rather than copyright issues, it will provide a way to better serve the player through on the fly patches, game balancing, and server updates without the need to interrupt gameplay. I've already notice this somewhat being done on COD when playlists get updated and people have to back out to the title screen to refresh their list to be able to join their friends that just got online.
  17. It would also be a way to put the ultimate pound down on Gamestop. Why go buy a used game for $48 at gamestop when you don't have to leave home and pay $20-30 instead?
  18. I dont really get the rage. Especially on Xbox which has been a console built around multiplayer gaming. You can't play COD/BF/Halo/Gears of War when your internet is out in the 1st place. Most people that buy this system will be that audience. However I dunno if it will be online required. I think the dev kits are required so they can receive the latest firmware updates. I think its a good way to keep tabs on developers and at the same time prepare them to deal with firmware updates in the middle of development. This will cut down on those day 1 updates you generally have to perform on games the first time you stick them in your console. MS is doing a leaps and bounds better job of keeping their stuff underwraps than Sony so far. The specs have leaked but none of the hardware... thats because its all stripped with designs that have devs fearing that theirs might have a specific pattern that would let MS know who leaked pics. Since developers can't leak pics they can only leak what they have experienced with their kits by word of mouth. Dev kits are never the final product, we'll have to wait until MS holds a presser... I'd like my console to update while I'm not using it. Hell right now on my current xbox I like turning it off when I have a big DLC or update... i just wait until the power button LED stops blinking to know its done.
  19. I doubt they'll ever be able to compete price wise. For one, Alien ware is overpriced. My ASUS runs BF3 at max and It was just as good as the best alienware on the market at that time and half its price. You can build your own for a lot cheaper as well if you're willing to put in the work... it certainly isn't difficult unless you sucked at legos and kenects as a kid. But even then, Microsoft and Sony subsidize the price of their machines through software and virtual purchases. PC manufactures cannot afford to take a loss on their machines or parts. Plus you are guaranteed that your machine will consistently run new games for 5-8 years without the need to upgrade anything. The only advantage PC gaming has right now is bundles and half off sale prices, but if it wasn't for consoles and piracy, the state of PC gaming wouldn't be in the shape it is now. lol
