  4. I typed out a big long response, and I accidentally changed pages and lost is so I don't feel like typing it out again. Basically the gist of it was that I doubt we know half of what the US military has. Every war we fight there seems to be all this new tech never seen before. The Nuke was a revolutionary weapon that was used with much regret. You can't just go in throwing all your trump cards with flying saucers and energy beams from space because everyone will know you have it and try to hack, spy, and sabotage your stuff. Who knows what we've launched up into space? Flying saucers sounds funny, but the US military has tried to build them before.

  6. Last year Comcast Corporation purchased 51% of NBC Universal, today they have purchased the rest of it from GE for $16.7 Billion. Comcast will also own a 31% stake in Hulu to go along with the huge acquisitions under the NBCU umbrella like SyFy, USA, Bravo, and E!. One has to question how this is even legal for a cable company to own major programing networks, and how it could affect their competitors. 8. I'm sure that Iron Dome we provided to Israel is only a preview of what we have here in the states. The problem N. Korea has is that its not a terrorist group hiding in another country. 1 nuke from a superpower and the whole nation is wiped from the planet. The bigger concern here is how much they are willing to sell it to terror groups in hopes that they will use it on us. Even with an Iron Dome prevention, detonating nukes in the sky anywhere isn't ideal for the planet.
  9. I think there is a difference here. Aside from the fact that one is an anime, and the other two are video games. Tomb Raider was a stale and crumbling franchise that had long been worn out. Instead of letting it RIP, they decided to reboot it. I haven't heard much about the Metroid prequel because I've ditched Nintendo pretty much. Prime and Prime 2 were definitely some of the best ever. After 3, I heard that the other games were not made by Retro, which didn't make any sense to me, so I could see where the concern is founded. GitS: Arise is still be produced by Production I.G. so I feel pretty confident that it will be pretty good. I'm iffy on the art direction, but I can always get over that for the most part.
  10. Apparently there is going to be a prequel series to GitS. Looks pretty good. I loved Stand Alone Complex, hopefully this will be just as good. Info on it from: Kotaku
  11. I'm sorry Chris... I'm afraid I can't let you do that.
  12. http://kotaku.com/5982986/we-know-all-about-the-next-xbox-from-someone-who-says-theyve-got-one?post=57297783 Interesting indeed. 500GB HD on board? Wow.
  13. Nice. I'm always tempted to ditch my secondary, but It screws me over every time when I need to reload. Suppressors and FMJs are always my top attachments, I ditched optics completely, and the only time I ditch FMJ is when its the SMR because it has decent piercing power without it. Scar is my 3rd favorite rifle. I've gotten use to the FAL's new recoil, but when it comes down to it, the SMR with select fire is the best rifle in this game if you can deal with the 20 round mag. The SMR will beat any SMG close range on full-auto which it has become my weapon of choice. I had to prestige it one last time so I only have single fire currently. Here are some of my matches before I did so. Sometimes I do so well I lose my care packages as they cycle through. I ended up changing my Score Streak to Hunter Killer - Care Package - AGR to prevent this. I've started getting 10 kill runs more frequently since finding my favorite map routes and class layouts. Since I've lost my SMR's select fire. When I start doing poorly in a match I resort to these classes: SCAR-H I'm only a few double kills and blood thirsty medals away from gold camo FAL full-auto
  14. At the begining of each generation MS and Sony have kept their prices very similar. The 'cheaper' option wouldn't really be a factor, the extra hardware would play more into it.
  15. I think going digital is a must. This will kill the need to worry about backwards compatibility. XBL and PS could replicate what Steam does so you keep your games on that network throughout the rest of the generations. The costs of packaging and producing discs would save millions in production costs. This could also pave way from something new. Cross console gaming. We saw that it could be done between PS3 and Steam when Portal 2 came out. It def could be done with other games. It would be a very limited amount of games that wouldn't have hardware conflicts between how the game is played. If MS Illumiroom gives xbox players a better advantage or the touch screen on PS4's controller does, then it wouldn't be worth making the game crossplatform. Maybe bring the console wars to a new level? Have just specific events, like a Team Xbox vs. Team PS weekend in COD. Instead of DLC timed exclusives being decided by corporate dollars, let it be decided by the gaming community. Which ever side wins the event gets the DLC early release.
  16. Once you hit that real name option, there is no way to go back. lol
  17. You'll never see a free xbox live that allows players to play multilayer for free, and honestly rightfully so. The difference between playing online on PS3 and on Xbox 360 is night and day. I use to scoff at paying for an online service when I only had a PS3, but the service offered by XBL is vastly superior. You get what you pay for. XBL has paved the way for quality online gaming from its private chat/party chat system to its online store that offered free demo's for games years before PS Plus ever came out. Cheating is less prevalent, and those reported and caught are either banned for life, or their gamertag is branded as a cheater for the rest of their days. While paying $10 for an online pass sounds like a good idea, for people that buy 20 games a year, its not very practical when you could pay $60 a year rather than $200. XBL has made a pretty effective tiered payment program where you can pay yearly, every 6 months, tri-monthly, or monthly. Paying monthly costs as much as netflix instant stream but you end up paying $30 more a year that way. The online pass was created to recoup money off used game sales, which by all indications, seems to be coming to an end this generation. Both Sony and MS seem to be coming up with some way to prevent consoles from playing used games. I have no idea how this will work, but if my theories on how they will accomplish this are accurate, I do not like it. I personally don't buy used games anymore because its just a rip off. $5-10 off for a used copy isn't for me. I'm just wondering if it will hurt redbox's game rental abilities.
  18. It was tripping me out because they drive on the opposite side of the road, so every time a car would come around the curve I thought he was about to get hit.
  19. Wow our dollar is shit compared to the pound. Sounds good. $600 was outrageous, and was mostly built on hype IMO, even though they were reportedly losing on every console.

  21. Obsidian Entertainment, makers of KOTOR II, has pitched an idea to Lucasarts to make a new Star Wars RPG focusing on Obi-Wan Kenobi. The story would take place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. When asked about it, Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart had this to say: Disney has previously stated that it will focus more on mobile and social media games, but Urquhart thinks he can convince them otherwise. However, he does acknowledge that the lack of KOTOR II's success will make this idea a hard sell. 23. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02/09/handicapped-woman-refuses-smart-meter-has-power-cut-in-the-dead-of-winter/ The good news is after some pressure, she now has her power back... ridiculous. People that don't pay their bill can't have their power cut off, but a disabled person with health concerns gets screwed over? Solar panels are financially unreasonable and the electric company is a monopoly, its kinda hard to seek an alternative.
