Die Hard with a Vengeance will always be my favorite. Willis and Samuel Jackson were the perfect duo. But this one looks pretty awesome.

Ive read something about it has to be in 1080i on your video settings for the console from some people. It has to be through an HDMI cable that's for certain. Its only happened to me once. Might want to google it, but once again thats the difference between XBL and PSonline when thinking about next gen I went 18-0 on meltdown with the SMR, but what do you know? Elite screws up and records me as 2-0, and the score board says everyone else is 1-1. Once I double prestige my SMR and finalize it with Primary Gun Fighter Suppressor/Select Fire/FMJ I don't think ill be looking back. I got a triple kill final kill cam as well on Overflow with it. Even with the foregrip the FAL jumps around too much now, but with the SMR's damage increase it makes it better than the FAL was anyways.

NC lawmaker: Ban lottery sales for people on welfare
DeathscytheX replied to Myk JL's topic in News Column
I actually meant people that scam the system by not reporting how much they make, claim kids they don't have, or sell drugs and collect food stamps becasue they are "unemployed". But yes I know what you are talking about. I've seen a woman be permanently pregnant to stay on WIC. She had 5 kids all within a year of the next, I guess her body couldn't take it anymore and she stopped after that. Its unreal what people will go through to get a free ride. -
The FAL is terrible with selective fire now. its one thing to nerf it, but to ruin it to where no one will use it is stupid. The SMR will be next, becasue its just like the fal was with selective fire it just has a smaller mag. I'm using that now.

NC lawmaker: Ban lottery sales for people on welfare
DeathscytheX replied to Myk JL's topic in News Column
The entire welfare system needs to be overhauled, some of this stuff needs to be monitored as harshly as the IRS does your taxes. If we were able to boot everyone scamming the system, we would be able to provide better for those who actually need it without further bankrupting our country. Working in grocery retail, I've seen first hand the disgusting abuse of this system. You have people coming in with $500 in food stamps talking and browsing the net on their iPhones and driving off in their new SUV or Jaguar. There are people that don't work, eating and living better than you and they've done nothing to earn it. I believe a lot of this has to do with people that actually work in these offices. The welfare system is suppose to be a assistance program, not a program to let you freely indulge yourself off the public. Thank being said, how can you possibly enforce a lottery ban? I guess when they win the jackpot they'll look into their records and then tell you "oops, sorry you aren't qualified to win". I really don't see an issue with someone dropping a few dollars on a lotto ticket in hopes to get out of the situation they are in. The law serves no purpose to fix the real problems with the system. -
J.J. Abrams to helm Star Wars Episode VII
DeathscytheX replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Movies, TV & Books
Or they could do a side story all together kinda like Kyle Katarn in the Jedi Outcast games Ah, talking about all this star wars stuff makes me want to play through KOTOR yet again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgsMqBkDKcU -
J.J. Abrams to helm Star Wars Episode VII
DeathscytheX replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Movies, TV & Books
I'm pretty sure they are going with original cast members as they all have said they are on board to give it a go. Its unlikely they will be the main protagonists, but serve more Ben Kanobi/Tarkin/Wedge/Akbar type roles. Honestly I think it would be epic to do a story that took place 4000 years in the future kinda like KOTOR was 4000 years prior to the Galactic Empire. -
J.J. Abrams to helm Star Wars Episode VII
DeathscytheX replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Movies, TV & Books
I've been hearing the "established canon" argument being flung around like its some solid unalterable storyline made by just one person and hasn't changed for 40 years. From what I recall the so-called "canon" has been growing for years whether it be books, games, comics and whatnot, a lot of people have added and expanded on to the previous persons addition to the canon. Just because they aren't going to do a trilogy on the Thrawn storyline everyone is all butt-hurt over it. If they are going to bring these actors back, does it look like these people are 5 years older? The gap between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope is a lot more than 5 years. Whose to say this takes place long after Return of the Jedi? I haven't read all the books, but I'm pretty sure there is plenty of wiggle room to make a new story if they choose to do so. The problem is with any iconic series, not everyone is going to like it. Some people can't enjoy it for what it is. They could do a trilogy based off someone else's work, and it will get picked apart, they can make a new story and it will get picked apart, Its really a no win situation outside the fact that Lucas won't have a big part in it. With that being said I think they'll respect the canon that exists (like Chewy not having Chewy alive way after he should have already died on Vector Prime) outside these movies, Abrams and Arndt are both Star Wars fans, that's a good thing because its the fans that have made the best stories out of the expanded universe. Abrams was not a fan of Star Trek so he took his liberties with it. He didn't have the respect for its sanctity. That's different here. I think he will do a better job than Lucas ever did (Ep1-3), and a hell of a lot better than Affleck could. I cant believe that guy was even a candidate. With everyone else running away at the offer (because its a no win situation), someone had to step up. What if James Wong took it? Dragonball Evolution anyone? It could have been worse. With that being said I hope they use Desann and piss everyone off that the main villain has a dino head jk jk -
I was for sure that Hillary would be the next POTUS, but now I am not so sure. I have a feeling that Obama is going to screw the Clinton's after all the support they have provided him. The continuous hinting at Joe Biden's 2016 possibilities has me wondering if Obama will push an endorsement for him on his way out. Hillary could face another rough primary race where this time they will attack her health, Benghazi, and even her age... Joe wouldn't have any room to talk, but If Cuomo runs it would be an opening. With how rapidly she has aged just as a cabinet member, I wonder how much she had actually had to step in and perform duties outside of her title. It will be a shame if someone as highly experianced as she is and how much time she's devoted as a public servant gets the shaft at the end due to some political agenda. Obama is a clown. He knows how to campaign, that's the extent of his ability. The "gene pool" of potential candidates gets more bland and uninspiring with every race on each side. You need $$$ to run for big offices, and that is the major issue that has fallen on our political system. (I'm on my phone on lunch, spelling and grammar are out the window )

J.J. Abrams to helm Star Wars Episode VII

I really don't get what people have against Abrams, lens flare aside. I've enjoyed all his work. -
Its unplayable on my phone. It lags so bad your moves don't register half the time and when they do its very sluggish. I die just because my swipe was lagged out.

After previously denying that he would command the directors chair for the next Star Wars film, LOST creator and Star Trek director J.J. Abrams has been officially confirmed for the role. After swirling rumors and many turned down offers, Abrams has emerged to take on the challenge that has scared away the likes of big names such as Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan, and Zack Snyder. In November Abrams was quoted as saying: "Look, Star Wars is one of my favorite movies of all time. I frankly feel that – I almost feel that, in a weird way, the opportunity for whomever it is to direct that movie, it comes with the burden of being that kind of iconic movie and series. I was never a big Star Trek fan growing up, so for me, working on Star Trek didn’t have any of that, you know, almost fatal sacrilege, and so, I am looking forward more then anyone to the next iterations of Star Wars, but I believe I will be going as a paying moviegoer!" However it seems that Lucasfilm's co-chair Kathleen Kennedy had been courting Abrams aggressively for quite a while. With the success of his Star Trek reboot and upcoming sequel, Abrams is set to become the new king of Sci Fi if he can triumph within the two most iconic series of the genre. Star Wars Episode VII is scheduled to hit theaters in 2015. Michael Arndt is writing the script. For more check out these links: Comingsoon.net: BREAKING: J.J. Those were the days . Whats interesting is that games are the same price which just shows you how much we are being ripped off. At least they've toned down on $70 games... screw that. Even if it went all digital I don't think we'd ever see games go down in price. In a fair market if they went all digital I think they should charge $35 max for a brand new game. With no costs in making discs or cases, they should recover their costs of development and turn a profit quickly. Along with that you could probably charge that amount for a longer duration rather than dropping a game from $5999 to $1999 after it had gotten old.

Xbox doesnt have many exclusives I can think of off hand aside from Halo, Gears of War, and Project Gotham Racing. Here is a list of everyone's exclusives for this gen: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_games_exclusives_%28seventh_generation%29 To me 1st party exclusives are going the way of the dinosaur. Nintendo is really the only company that clings to theirs and there position in the gaming world today doesn't speak volumes. Most of the exclusves today come from smaller studios that do the PS store and XBL arcade games. 3rd party have gone to "timed exclusives" because there is way too much money to be made by selling product on all consoles. MGS is now making its way on to Xbox, and I can only see many more titles in the future now that this console will support bigger blu-ray discs. When I first got an Xbox 360 it was because thats what all my friends were playing on. As I've used it over the years, My PS3 has become a netflix/blu-ray player that is only for a small handful of titles. God of War III, MGS4, Mortal Kombat, and Twisted Metal are the only games I've ever bought for it. Xbox Live is a superior product to the PlayStation Online. Sony may have improved it over the years, and Plus might have made it come close, but XBL is still the better online platform IMO. Trying to play Twisted Metal online was a nightmare on match making alone. I never did get to try it because the damn thing would never find a match paired with a friend. On a side note, in my opinion everyone should use the COD lobby style for match making, that is probably COD's greatest accomplishment. I've always viewed Xbox as a FPS / Racing console. It lacks on RPGs which I do not play. Its more of a western gaming console which is why its such a failure in japan. Within that thought, the controller is designed more for these types of games. The trigger buttons work better for COD, BF, Borderlands, and racing games. They feel more natural. On the same token, the D-pad is horrible unless you buy the special controller with a good D-pad. I cant play games like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter on xbox, because I've never been able to use a joy stick for fighting games. In the end its really based on your preference of style and games. I wont be able to afford both systems this generation like I have in the past. I'll be going with Microsoft because of their stronger ties with COD (Timed exclusives on map packs ) and becasue I like Xbox Live. I'm also seeing more innovation with the Kenect room projector, and the possibility of augmented-reality glasses. Once you start requiring me to move my controller around and look at it, its just bothers me. I'm an old fart that likes a damn controller with just buttons. You can mess with everything else, just not my gamepad.

VGLeaks has unveiled the raw system specs of Microsoft's next generation console dubbed Durango. If these specs hold up, the next "Xbox" will have some remarkably impressive processing power at 1.2 teraflops (1.2 trillion floating-point operations per second). To put that in perspective; Xbox 360 is only measured in gigaflops. After the failure of HD DVD in the current generation, it is also a notable point that Blu-ray will be included along with 8GB of RAM, Wi-Fi Direct capability, USB 3.0 and HDMI 1.4a. Unlike the latest report for PS4, there is no news on the controller nor the previously rumored augmented-reality glasses. Here is a full rundown on the specs: CPU: - x64 Architecture - 8 CPU cores running at 1.6 gigahertz (GHz) - each CPU thread has its own 32 KB L1 instruction cache and 32 KB L1 data cache - each module of four CPU cores has a 2 MB L2 cache resulting in a total of 4 MB of L2 cache - each core has one fully independent hardware thread with no shared execution resources - each hardware thread can issue two instructions per clock GPU: - custom D3D11.1 class 800-MHz graphics processor - 12 shader cores providing a total of 768 threads - each thread can perform one scalar multiplication and addition operation (MADD) per clock cycle - at peak performance, the GPU can effectively issue 1.2 trillion floating-point operations per second High-fidelity Natural User Interface (NUI) sensor is always present Storage and Memory: - 8 gigabyte (GB) of RAM DDR3 (68 GB/s) - 32 MB of fast embedded SRAM (ESRAM) (102 GB/s) - from the GPU’s perspective the bandwidths of system memory and ESRAM are parallel providing combined peak bandwidth of 170 GB/sec. - Hard drive is always present - 50 GB 6x Blu-ray Disc drive Networking: - Gigabit Ethernet - Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct Hardware Accelerators: - Move engines - Image, video, and audio codecs - Kinect multichannel echo cancellation (MEC) hardware - Cryptography engines for encryption and decryption, and hashing Check out the full details from CNet and VG Leaks below: CNET: Xbox 720: 8 CPU cores of gaming power?
