  1. Big Weed and Big Pot sounded dumb next to Big Oil and Big Tobacco... BIG HEMP FTW! Yes, getting the ball rolling will hurt the Mexican cartels, we could undercut them in price... At the same time we could allow their product in legally... and tax the shit out of it. Kinda like Bombay Sapphire... good Gin, but since New Amsterdam is made in New York, its only $20 for a big bottle and its almost as good as the $60 of bombay... Tito's vodka is another great example... US made, awesome quality, way cheaper than imported vodka.
  2. X'D but... but... its soo gooood
  3. Ouya is a console that appeared on kickstarter that claims to be fully open source... every console has dev kit capabilities so you can become your own developer. Interesting concept, and it could be a breakthrough for free-to-play gaming... or a major flop. http://www.ouya.tv/ http://kotaku.com/ouya/
  4. Yeah this is shocking since the USPS has been crying about money woes over the past 3-4 years. If they don't want to shut down some post offices, they need to man up and charge netflix, becasue it would bring in a crap load of revenue for the struggling office. Snail Mail is pretty obsolete, they need to make their money where they can.
  5. COD tends to throw realism out the window. If you pay a little closer attention to the kill cams, you will notice that there are a lot of times people start firing before they transition into ADS. Hip fire is impossible at mid range on BF3, but its not an issue on COD. Try the quick draw grip on your assault rifles, the shotgun might help too. I don't use quickdraw for the R870, because its ADS is pretty quick. You're bullets will fly where your crosshair is at until you go into ADS.. Plus the laser sights also aid hip fire. In MW1, I use to run the MP5 with the steady aim perk that increased the accuracy even more from hip. I was inspired to do so after watching this guy wreck my face and whole team by running around hip firing the MP5 before people could line up a shot. He always stayed in motion. I adopted the tactic and became very good at it. Due to map design, and the watering down of gun damage, it doesn't work as well, but it still works for me with the shotgun.
  6. The US Court of Appeals has ruled that Netflix receives an unfair advantage from the US Postal service through preferential treatment and specially designated containers. Oddly enough, despite the money struggles the USPS has faced over the years, the high volume of mail Netflix traffics through the postal system is provided free of charge to the company. The ruling stems form a multi-year battle lead by Gamefly, which claims it has had to spend millions in shipping adjustments because it is not provided with the same treatment that Netflix has been privileged to. When Joystiq contacted Gamefly for comment, they responded stating: http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/11/court-rules-against-netflix-in-gamefly-postal-dispute/ Reuters story: http://uk.reuters.com/article/2013/01/11/us-usa-netflix-idUKBRE90A0R820130111 Click here to view the article

  8. cue the music! Its an honor to provide my services to the forum.
  9. And instead of those annoying red arrows that show up when you are being hit or shot at, maybe it can flash the wall red on that side of the TV you're being damaged from. I never really found the arrows useful because now days the whole screen flashes red, and I panic trying to find what's hitting me, I don't have time to look at the red arrow blended in with the red kool-aid vision I'm beating hit with. This could also be useful to set some neat ambient environmental effects. You could definitely set up some epic scenery with rain, and have the projections portray lightning effects. Perhaps tree off screen can rustle their leaves in the wind. The applications for horror games have a lot of potential... things can be crawling on your walls, they can slightly blur the off screen to keep you paranoid... or just flash things temporarily to catch you off guard.
  10. There is another problem with forcing the growers to be the sellers. Monopoly... by making one person both, It eliminates a step... howbeit a small step in competition. Lets say there's a farmer Jim. He does extraordinarily well, his business grows into a successful industry. Meanwhile farmer Joe is failing, hes doing some decent business here and there, but lacks the management skills to sustain his company. Farmer Jim finds out about this, and offers to buyout farmer Joe's land, and all of his assets... BAM! He now owns the growing and selling of his competitor's product... a few mergers later and you have the 1970's AT&T of hemp. There were never price competitions to a separate selling entity to begin with, but now there is no competition at all and Big Hemp sets the price, distribution, and says screw quality! But wait! Here comes the feds! Time to use tax payer money for a massive antitrust suit to break up the monopoly... and it all could have been avoided in the first place if they wouldn't have had a stick up their ass about weed.
  11. A gun ban is just a "big government" agenda. We can talk about assault rifles all day but if you go to the FBI's website and look at the numbers, more people are killed by knifes, hammers, and even hands and feet. These individual categories out number ALL rifles put into its own category. Another interesting note is that from 2008-2011 the number of homicides have gone down. The US ranks 28th in the world in gun violence per capita. What Piers Morgan won't tell you is that in the UK violent crime is 5 times higher per capita than in the US. Timothy McVeigh single handedly killed more Americans in one event and didn't use a single firearm. You can still buy fertilizer to this day. People are quick to act on emotion while throwing any kind of logic out of the window... That's why we have the patriot act, that's why the gov can tap your cell with no warrant, and that's why they are trying to restrict guns now. Any freedom we are willing to give up, Uncle Sam will be happy to take it away from you weather it's Democrat or Republican.
  12. I don't know. I didn't get to see tha package since e secretly brought then to us when he wasn't suppose to. I'm sure it's 3x the cream of regular Oreos.
  13. Do you like Double Stuffed Oreos? Is it not enough? Well good news! Next month MEGA STUFFED OREOS should hit the market. I discovered this from a Nabisco vendor at work today. He brought some in for a few people to try in secrecy... all I can say is that its AWESOME!
  14. How different are the conditions to grow pot than say corn? I'm no expert, but if its more sustainable during a bad growing season for corn/wheat, it would definitely be a nice fallback for farmers that could lose a lot of money otherwise. You make an excellent point. The ABC store doesn't make any liquor they sell it. They should be able to make contracts with parties willing to sell their product. That is a lot of work to put on one person, it gives them more security with cash up front from the seller to license their product and sell it for their own profit minus a kickback % that goes to the grower.
  15. I'm sure if it takes off with some success, there will be rare cameo appearances here and there of an avenger.
  16. YES! I am killed from behind or from the side more than anything in COD or BF3. This would be a welcomed edition.
  17. Hmmm, I wonder if they nerfed it on PS3. I will say I've noticed its a tad less more powerful since the last two game playlist updates I was hit with. Do you ADS or hip fire it? I tend to use the "quick scope" method with it, I hit the ADS as I pull the trigger when I see someone. Plus what is your map strategy? I mainly use that class on Drone/Plaza/Turbine/Standoff. I run around the outside of the map, NEVER the middle of the map. I just make a big circle hitting camping hot spots. I wish I could upload a whole match so you could see how I run the class. Standoff is the best example. I always run into the wooden house for snipers upstairs, then I jump out, move to the concrete building for the campers upstairs, then I run along the outside to the other spawn, generally there is someone in that grassy pathway, and people camping next to tanks or on the roof of the buildings adjacent to it. I just run that ciricle. If I hit to much traffic and get killed, I reverse route and run the opposite way eventually coming up behind them. And I still cant see your page. lol It just brings up zombies and says Zombies Ate Your Page.

  20. I cant even look at that link, so I guess i cant even hyperlink my profile... well I could, but only Xbox 360 users could view it. Otherwise you get: I just prestiged, and permanently unlocked ghost. I'll post my classes when i get back to where I want to be. Interestingly enough, you dont lose your camo's or attachments when you prestige. You cant prestige your weapons individually which causes you to lose your attachments, and start over again for the xp bonuses. Here is the main page from the iphone app:
  21. What kills me is that anyone would waste their time watching a sci-fi/history/discovery show claiming to have found big foot as if it wouldn't be breaking news on any reputable internet news source or CNN/MSNBC/FNC/ABC/CBS/NBC before it ever was a special on cable television.
  22. Wow.. I got a triple kill with a Hunter Killer Drone... enjoy
  23. They already have right under our noses! He's in those Jack Links commercials!
  24. I agree with everything except for the expensive licensing and application fees. Tough regulations and penalties is raising the bar enough that growers wont take risks. Not everyone can legitimately come up with the cash for these large fees, and it gives less incentive to go legal for those that cant post the money. This is why there is a moonshine industry, while there are a lot that do it to avoid the taxation, there are many that would go legal if they could afford to post that 5-6 figure application fee. The $500 a year licenses wouldn't be an issue if they had the necessary help to get off the ground and running. This is why the feds need to go ahead and say YES. A loan program for could be formed that would easily be paid back within the taxes they will eventually levy on pot.
