  1. Overwatch is free to play until Tuesday if you want to try out some of the character reworks and the new, more fun to play healers. Here is some of my latest gameplay with my new fav.
  2. I think the most important thing is there will be no more one man army'ing it up. I felt way OP in the last few BF games. I was a one man mobile SAM in BF4, and I kept bunkers clear in BF1. Having a 1.7 KD in a BF game is a little insane. The not healing back to 100% means there has to be a medic. Even in BF3 you'd heal to about 70-80% and that last bit to 100% felt like forever to get back without a medic. I also like the ability to move AA around so planes can't dominate by remembering where they are and taking them out immediately. The low ammo count I feel conflicted on. But it should solve the sniping issue somewhat. It definitely means it will be better when you're playing with at least 2 people you know in the squad. Having a medic and support is going to be key otherwise you'll have a squad with no ammo and constantly losing tickets. Fortifications sound nice to guard your back in indoor situations. Hopefully there will be proper notifications when they are destroyed and they aren't ridiculous to destroy. All we need is people bunkering down hard on a flag inside. Of course driving a tank through the wall helps. It's good that full destruction is back. Plus the rocket strikes and other squad abilities have the potential to balance it out.
  3. The problem is, they gave all the good info to the YTers and revealed only half of that stuff at the event. Trevor Noah wasn't funny and the talk show format was odd. More people watched that than will watch Westie or Jackfrags.
  4. Ok so no behemoths or elite class, squad play can get perks that the squad leader can spend on things like a V2 rocket call in. Sorta like a "killstreak" but the squad has to accumulate points for it.
  5. This has info not covered in the reveal... PREDICTIVE RECOIL!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Pretty weak trailer IMO. Apparently its from War Stories and not actual MP. the MP trailer will come out June 9th they said. The good from the reveal: Premium Pass is gone, free content for all in seasonal updates called Tides of War. No gas masks, instead you'll have a tool box where you can make fortifications, reinforce structures, repair buildings, etc. Basically their fortnite ripoff. Operations become more dynamic in the form of Grand Operations. It sounds like maps actually change based on who wins each leg, and the gamemode can change as well. If by the 3rd leg, its a stalemate, a 4th map will be selected for a final stand mode. No details on what Final Stand is. Cosmetics will be unlocked via gameplay. Solider customization will be a bigger thing than in any battlefield. The question on microtransactions were kind of skirted with a soft ball question. I'll assume there will be for more costmetics, but at least there are some that can be unlocked. It sounds like Destruction 2.0 is going to be back ala BFBC2. They didn't say it, but LMG's being able to destroy walls, and the tool box mechanic make it sound like its back. The Bad Apparently there is a new mechanic where explosions can knock you back. I feel like this is going to be BS and you'll get shot and killed pretty much every time it happens. I'll assume this only means big explosions from tanks and planes and not grenades. No yay or nay on Behemoths or Elite classes. I guess we'll have to wait for a few weeks to find out.
  7. I'll be waiting to watch this tomorrow. Despite my thoughts on the actual game Black Ops 4, I'll give Treyarch credit for putting on an informative reveal. I hope DICE follows suit rather than a hype concert. If there is anything I want from BLOPS4 to be in BFV is predictive recoil. Please get rid of the random spread. Bring back the realism. I wan't map counts, I want Operation details, and I want an alpha sign up.
  8. I don't care who you are. Once you get to Ep 7, you'll be chopping onions til the end.
  9. BF1942 def would not hold up today. It was revolutionary, but it was as unpolished as the original counter strike would be today. BF2 is still my all time favorite as far as the maps go, but damn last time I played it a few years ago it was crazy how clunky it felt. The map scale just felt so much bigger... and it was. The trade off was you could go a long time without ever seeing anyone even with PC player counts vs. the limited console at the time. Something that little have the attention span for these days. I remember setting up C4 on a bridge and then running off to a high point pretty far away. The whole ordeal took a good 10 minutes or more. Then I waited for another 5 or more minutes for a tank to drive across so I could blow the bridge. Good times. Today its all about fast action all the time. I can't say I dislike it with how much time i spent on Ziba tower 24/7 servers on BF3. BF1 lost its luster for me because of how little weapons the base game had, and how not many of them were very good. Which also led to my rage quit over the Martini nerf. Outside of that, the Cie-Regatti and the Model 10-A are the only things I cared to use that I felt were effective. Dice really lost their way with weapon balance, and balance in general. Lets nerf this rifle with abysmal stats because skilled players can double collateral people on a moving boat, but its cool to sit in a blimp and rake in 40 kills or ride around in a single person tank and destroy everyone because you can self repair. Lets say we nerfed the Model 10-A like 3 times, but I can still run around and hip fire one shot everyone until the last nerf where I just had to tap ADS and fire effectively "quick-scope" one shotting everyone. Operations were a lot of fun when the team wasn't picking the wrong tank to take out behemoths. But I got burnt out when the whole game revolved around sniping, or sneaking up to sniper ridge and killing them all. Sniping will always be popular, but man it was too popular in BF1, it all goes back to how bad most the weapons where. People are going to gravitate towards the guns with the best TTK. WWII has way more weapons that they better implement in the base game. I don't need to wait 3-4 months post release to get the M1919. I don't want to grind through a shit gun just to get the STG44. Don't make me get 50 head shots with a gun that has insane recoil to get the MP40. Lets not be cute. Lets have some real weapon diversity.
  10. This was way better than the first one, and I really liked the first one. Kudos to the trailer for seeming like it gave a lot away, but actually gave away very little.
  11. After watching Drift0r's videos its actually very different from any COD they've made, and not in a good way. There are a lot of positives like predictive recoil. But they've made this game to be more team focused like a R6S lite. Its just not going to work for a franchise full of dudebro casuals. You're either going to get steam rolled by a team that communicates, or you're going to have wildly inconsistent matches. 5v5 is a downgrade. I'm also normally not one to care about a single player campaign being excluded, but for COD its a bit different and its a shame too. Blops 3 campaign was pretty trash but WW2's campaign was quite good.
  12. It's looking like its WW2. They need to leave the bombs to those radio towers like in the modern games. I'd rather see things like that rather than a behemoth in operations. Planes should only have guns. But we all know those Zero dive bombers are gonna cause havoc.
  13. So Battlefield has never used a roman numeral. V is either for Victory ala WWII... or Vietnam which I'm hoping for the most. PLEASE GIVE US NAM OPERATIONS!!! HILL 137! I need to RPG choppers again. Nam is the best of modern without the cheap ass guided bullshit.
  14. In short. Its boots on the ground taking place between Blops 2 and 3 with precursor specialists that were in 3. 3 Zombie maps on day one, and a battle royale mode called Blackout. Healing is no longer automatic, you have to press a button to give yourself a shot to start healing.
  15. Ancient Magus Bride is simply outstanding. I wish I would have gotten to it sooner. Its like a darker Spirited Away with some XXXholic and Mushi Shi mixed in. From all the promotion Funi did on facebook, it was nothing like what I thought it was going to be. They really need to work on conveying themes better. Its partially why it took me so long to get around too it, because it didn't interest me at first. If you're ever in the mood for a mystical anime, this is the one. The world building is fantastic.

  16. I like VSAUCE better and I hate hes much slower to make them because of Mind Field. Even Michael said he liked it better during a truth serum experiment ep of Mind Field. But Mind Field probably makes way more money. It's still worth watching, it's more about human psyche and social experiments. Its interesting to see the results on things that are only discussed hypothetically. You gotta wonder how many times they had to do psyche tests on these people to make sure they didnt get mental harm from them.
  17. Probably one of the more beautiful openings I've heard in a while.
  18. 3 episodes into Stiens:Gate 0, and it's a feels trip. I liked the first one, but I wouldn't consider myself a fan. But this one is just tugging at my feelings with Okabe interacting with Amadeus. On a funny note, its wierd how everyone's tits got huge. Wtf? XDXD

XD leave it to you to notice the most important things.

It's been a rough ride and the way things are shaping up (based on all 5 eps) it's going to be another emotional roller coaster. I'm honestly enjoying this more then the first one just based on the emotional tone alone but I still say the first one was amazing in it's own right (I just wish the fucking games would go on sale x.x )

It's kinda hard not to notice the first time Mayuri shows up. I'm like "wait what?" XD. It's an obvious difference.

  19. Finished Darling in the Franxx today. Its definitely not for everyone. It starts out confused to what it is. A lot of people could give up on it after the first few eps. What's seemingly a corny mecha series with horny teens quickly evolves into an interesting and mysterious world were a group of kids try to find their place on society and struggle to cope with their emotions. Lately, I've been unintentionally watching series with slow build ups that lead to big payoffs and this is one of them. Having to wait each week for a new episode deprived me of the instant gratification or lack there of I'm accustomed to. The series ends without answering a lot of questions and adding a few more about the actual social structure and why the world is the way it is. But the questions about Hiro's issues and his explainable connection to 002 are all resolved. The animators of Gurren Lagann did this series, and it's easy to see that. Instead of a over the top epic tale, we get a darker world with mysterious creatures that probably wont be explained until next season.

XD kotaku actually did an article about how weird it was and then two more articles later their opinion evolved.

  20. I watched both seasons of this and through it was good overall. The episodes that were more interesting to me were the ones where Michael made himself the subject to these experiments. There were too many eps IMO that tested various types of peer pressure and social awkwardness. When the subjects were told they were being duped, they couldn't really come up with an real answer for their actions because they were too embarrassed. You could see it all over their face. There was one episode were a lady looked pissed that she was called out of lying about her experience from a placebo hallucinogen. She just kept saying she really felt something.
  21. I originally scoffed at this because of YT Red, but since I got a 3 month free trail I watched this and thought it was well made. They actually almost went the way of the Daniel was the real bully but didn't quite commit to it. Daniel was pretty unlikable throughout the whole series, and Cobra Kai felt like a dojo of redemption, only til the end where they tried to make them out to be the bad guys when they got "full of them selves". You empathize with the Cobra Kai kids and Johnny the whole series so the last minute turn doesn't work very well and seems forced. Diaz is too likeable of a character with a sad back history and his mom and grandma still cheering him on. Making him the bully in favor of Johnny's toubled son who's was a douche the whole series trying to get back at his dad by working for Daniel was pretty crappy. Its like they didn't know what to do in the end and decided to try to make Daniel the "good guy" anyways even though he was an immature rich asshole the whole series and Johnny was trying to get his life back together through reopening Cobra Kai. Oh and Johnny and Daniel are really out of shape. when Daniel tries to do Karate it looks super shitty, because he can barely lift his leg up anymore. Johnny looks a bit better and has better camera cuts for his sequences. Thankfully the kids are more in shape to do these moves.
