If I had to describe this series, it would be "Tokyo Ghoul that didn't suck"

I finished season 2 and really liked it. It was more of a suspense builder to a final battle. I think the last 2-3 series i watched, I watched in fragments of interest, but this one had me marathoning it straight through.

White Rabbit Project aka Mythbusters 2 (Netflix series)
DeathscytheX replied to Sledgstone's topic in Movies, TV & Books
I watched all the episodes and I enjoyed it a lot. But if you go into this thinking its going to be Mythbusters 2.0, you'll be sorely disappointed. Each episode takes a topic, uses 6 different scenarios, and ranks them first to last based on 3 criteria set at the beginning of the show. Its hard to tell if the show lacked funding or just used its budget poorly. Only half the episodes have experiments, and very few have more than one big experiment recreating one of the scenarios. One of them was very expensive topping $120k (totally worth it though), but on other episodes they're driving expensive cars that probably were ungodly to rent. The other half they just talk to experts and go over the historical background of the situation. If they do a second season, I hope they up the budget a bit more. The experiments they did were really fascinating.... especially since they were historical recreations that seemed unfeasible for their time.- 7 replies

So now I'm wondering if attacking Annie was the wrong move, She never did anything to attack the actual city that I remember. While two Titans I expect to be members of the military have. Its clear that more than just Eren can transform. It will be interesting to see the motives behind each side.

With how poor IW sales are, the rumors are swirling that investors are starting to put pressure on Activision to release MWR by itself. I can see COD abandoning its season pass and focusing solely on its cryptokey system within the next two years if they are too stupid to abandon it for next years title. Sadly they'll probably keep the weapons in them. If that happens DICE probably will have a harder time convincing people that premium is worth it anymore. I watched a friend play a match on Winter Crash when I came over the other night. It looked great. I really miss the game... and I found it amusing how many people tried strafe jumping like that is going to work when every weapon kills you in 1-3 shots. (As I learned from Drift0r yesterday, the RPD has no damage drop off penalty. 2 shot cross map FTW ). I love how they didn't nerf anything and left it be while adding modern game modes like Kill Confirmed. I opened my 2 free superior packs and got the Sweeper Blue Devil both times. I was glad to get it once because I scrapped it in desperation of trying to get Zulu for the Henry a few weeks ago. I got an xp booster and the bludgeon puzzle piece from both and the free regular pack so I was able to buy 2 more superiors after i scrapped the crappy SMLE legendary. Seriously the desert camo pattern should be a white tier as it appears on as many guns as royal order and royal edict.. the only thing different is that they actually gave a special name to it for each different weapon. I got the legendary Bludgeon melee weapon a few weeks ago so I can scrap that piece every time now for 270... still waiting on my sawtooth to come together. I got the C36 skin as well with the last pack I opened, no luck getting the tank skin.

I think thats just a good week of RNG for you. I got all of the R3 legendary skins during that week from regular crates, and I haven't had a week that good since. Its weird to me that the Model 10 usage dropped because of the unfair long shot nerf (thats what I'll call it), because honestly it only worked on someone not paying attention, someone with there back to you, someone low on hp, or someone that just sucks ass if they were facing you. For me it was merely a panic tactic that paid off only half the time... it was best used on maps like Amiens when you just blind fired into a choke point full of gas. Its base function is still the most lethal in the game. Seeing as Overwatch gave everyone 5 loot boxes today, I really hope 2017 shooters start copying their business model the way every game in existence copied COD when they started the season pass in 2011. While Overwatch's free content is slower, that mostly has to due with Hero's being different and having a whole kit different from every other hero, and each map being designed around a mode and making sure certain heroes can't break the map. More traditional shooters could put that effort solely into maps. Titanfall 2 had their first content drop recently, so at least thats another shooter that has gone that way... although I've heard the playerbase is smaller than TF1 (Good job EA, releasing next to BF1) I have a feeling when the DLC comes out, I'll play it for a few weeks and get bored again. While buying guns with game currency is my preferred way of acquisition ever since Black Ops 1 introduced that method, DICE could add assignments for skins similar to how the SP missions have objectives to get skins. But with how bad their loot box system is, and with how little it has to offer currently. I don't see that happening. The revision time gate is really bad, I wanted that frommer skin two weeks ago, I didn't get it, now how many weeks do I have to wait to try for it again? If the skins are ass for the week, I have even less desire to play than I did before.

Apparently this game is going to be open world... that's interesting. The demo had several locked doors that I couldn't go through.

I downloaded the demo that came out today and damn, I can't wait for this game to come out. I uploaded a clip of a part of the boss battle. There were a few little boss battles leading up to this and they were pretty epic. The combat is really good and the level design is pretty interesting. It constantly flips from typical 3D open area fighting, to side scroll, to top down. Hopefully this doesn't lead to wonky camera angles in the full game when you transition between parts of areas. My only gripe is the health system. I don't mind consumables but the way you access them is not very good. You have to hit down on the D-pad and select it with O. But you have to time it kinda right. If you hit down and press O too fast it doesn't activate properly, if you wait to long, the pull down list goes away rather fast. Another issue is there are 3 types of HP consumables small/med/large and you can toggle them. With how fast paced the action is, you don't really have a lot of time to look down and pick the right one if you need it during battle. There are also offensive and defensive buffs that as far as I can tell, can only be accessed from the pause screen... which is even worse because they only last 15 seconds... that's something you want to be able to access on the fly. Either way, I'm definitely getting this. Its very Steampunk God of War/Contra/Ninja Gaiden. lol I assume you can upgrade your abilities later in the game since there are level ups and seemingly a crafting menu.

Its pretty funny how much 80/90's B movies get parodied these days. Its pretty much a genre now. TV has made the most success out of it, most notably SyFy. But there have been indy films like Manborg and Kung Fury that have also capitalized off of it. But looking back, what was your favorite "bad movie" growing up? If you know me, by now its not a secret Super Mario Bros. is my favorite , but a very close second goes to Suburban Commando.

It got an extra pellet in the patch. So that's like 8 extra damage per shot. It doesn't seem like much, but it is if your aim is off and the enemy is already hurt. Either way they can't nerf shotguns to be ultra close range weapons or they'll be completely useless in a game where half the maps are super open. Assault is already undesirable enough to play for many in modes where you need people to take down tanks.
-
They made that one as good as the model 10. That's why I'm surprised shotgun use has decreased. Like I said, the only thing taken away was the backside of medium range kill potential. The kill potential of the 10 is justified to me because of its slow rate of fire, but this one shoots twice as fast...

If I've learned anything in MMO's it's always pick characters with their hair up to avoid clipping into fashion.
