  1. I loved the M16 depending on the map. If it was open like Countdown and Creek, or had long range engagements like Overgrown and Countdown would use it, although I became fond of the harder hitting AK down the road despite its wild recoil. As great as the P90 was, I always used the MP5 and AK74u silenced. And then there was the RPD... man good times. X'D thats a gun that disappeared from COD quick and never came back.
  2. I knew all the kiddies out there would cry about this gun. Oh boo hoo, it needs a nerf... no go back and play your garbage COD with trash TTK that rewards who can jump around and get lucky rather than who can aim the best, have the best map awareness, and not run around in the open like an idiot.
  3. The Black Friday noobs are out in full force. On BF1 everyone keeps unlocking and opening the doors on Monte Grappa, and on Overwatch no one can defend anything. Every round is a damn steam roll for attack because people can't defend an objective. I was winning fights I shouldn't win against hard counter characters.

On a side note, I'm glad Sombra isn't popular. I figure it has a lot to do with her abilities don't provide DPS or heals, but if you utilize them correctly you can go anywhere undetected and put pressure on the objective to let your team through bottlenecks. Now I can contest a point, go invisible and run away, and then come back and contest it again if the opposing team goes back to the choke point. Before I would fly over with D.Va and get destroyed by a 1v6 and my team wouldn't push, with Sombra they have more time to finally pay attention because apparently a whole 6-7 seconds isn't enough to give them confidence to charge in.

And this is exactly why I decided not to touch BF1 this week (well besides the fact that I have Skyrim to play) because I knew Black Friday would bring a rush of new, untested blood into the fray (and considering my luck I didn't want guaranteed losses, one after another (my luck in Operations has took a turn for the worse, I haven't won one in my last 10 or so)).

I hate light tanks. I still want DICE to move those to flags only and take them away from the home spawn. Now that I realized the left and right d-pads actually do something in tanks (i had no idea most of my tanks had a quick repair option -_-;), heavy tanks are beastly for me now. I got in one with my brothers the other day and tore up the map for a solid 15 mins in it and capped 2 flags. It was a bit boring for them tho with the limited angles the passenger turrets have.

I should have recorded my 10 kill streak in the breakthrough tank. The driver pulled. Me up to the door at our favorite A flag on Monte Grappa. There were like 5 medics that kept reviving each other and I kept mowing them down with the side cannon. XD

  4. I will say I've never enjoyed flying in battlefield until this game. I was a decent chopper pilot in BF3, but in BF4 choppers were so weak and easily taken down. I was never good at flying jets. I love keeping pressure on points with bombing runs in BF1. You can really cause problems for the other teams on open area objectives. I was flying around on Sinai the other night in a sandstorm. I was at a total advantage as the AA guns couldn't see me and I used the markers to judge where to release bombs. The spot flares are beastly as well. I just wish they'd fix the bug where someone can take your vehicle when you're changing the load out. I guess I'll need to just keep my app handy to swap to rockets while the next round is loading. The rockets on the attack plain put a hurting on the airship. half of a salvo will destroy the gondolas with ease. No one uses this loadout because people just spam mash the button hoping to get in the plane before anyone else does. This is the biggest issue the game has, because no one is picking what is actually needed, they're just trying to get whatever they can first.
  5. I logged into BF1 today for the first time in 3 days and I had a Superior and Regular R5 battlepack waiting on me. I have no idea where they came from. I got the gold skin for the 12g automatic, but I scrapped it. R6 is pretty lame this week, I'll keep saving my scrap.... I'm waiting on a Legendary Martini skin.

I take it back,  it is premium. I just saw it on Facebook. Lol

I got on today for an hour and I did get a regular battlepack. I got a white and an xp boost that I immediately scrapped for 270. Maybe DICE was being generous with that free battlepack for non premium.

  6. Kaz has been my favorite since the start of my journey. I miss her being more part of the team. It seemed to have shift from the PC/Jory/Kaz/Braham/Rox to PC/Taimi/Rytlock. I miss Canach's smart ass too, we only got a small bit of him in the first ep. If he ever gets his freedom, I hope he sticks around. Braham's a douche, but its good writing, I was so angry at him after the ep. The guild is falling apart before it even starts. But like i said, I hope its not all Destiny's Edge reunion tour part 2. If it was up to me Dragon's Watch would be PC/Jory/Kaz/Rytlock/Canach with Taimi as our technology back up. Screw Braham... Rox hasn't really been a big part of anything ever, I don't hate her, but I don't have any feelings towards her... shes always been completely overshadowed by Rytlock. I hope we get some resolution on the health of the Pale Tree as well along with Logan and Zojja. If all the Queen Jennah dying rumors come true, it will def be a burned on Logan as he'll probably still be unconsciousness when it happens. I always thought he was a douche until I finished the Arah story. Now he's sorta grown on me, especially after him and Rytlock made up during CoF. I don't know If I'm ever willing to truly trust Caithe again, that dick move she pulled at the end of LWS2 still gets me to this day.

  8. I played the new episode and map today, but i didn't get to spend much time outside of map completion. The episode was solid, but lacked any shock value like the first two. The end left me a bit bitter. I've invested 2 years into these Living World characters, and when we started this adventure we were all on the same page. After what Caithe did before HoT, I've been pretty irritated with her to this day. I'll hand it to anet, they sure know how to punch you in the gut and then kick dirt in your eyes. Rytlock is probably the only character I feel i can completely trust. I think the player character his facing their own "Eir & Destiny's Edge" moment where everyone wants to do their own thing. Jory goes off with Lazarus, Rytlock is having to deal with Charr politics, Canach is trying to gain his freedom, and now the end of this ep... the only one thats done me any favors is Trehearne by dying. The new map is large and follows a similar design to Ember Bay. There are only 2 WP. Right now the map has a serious scaling problem. Its not as event boss centered as EB is... there aren't any event chains, but rather fast cycling events that are in your best interest to keep succeeding at. I soloed one event where all the Son's of Svanir mobs scaled up to 81... with only me doing the event. WTF? The only reason i could complete it was because I was on my Guardian. My Ranger got melted against a group form what little I played. There is one event that scales so hard, its impossible to succeed at it and the fail event chain starts, which also scales like nuts, but is doable. I'll try to explore more tomorrow and get a better feel for the events on this map.
  9. I forgot what gun you even got for that. I just remember the rage inducing moments of finishing 4th multiple matches and getting hung up when I got to sniper rifles on a cqc map. I hated gun game in COD and I despise everything about the game mode and its clones in other games. It wasn't rewarding to get and I was still pissed after i finally got it. I don't know why DICE thought they needed a COD game mode.
  10. I saw some friends playing the free weekend of Overwatch and hopped on for a few matches. Crazy enough, not a lot of people were picking Sombra. Unlike Ana where everyone wanted to be her every match ever. This is crazy to be because Sombra is amazing. I found myself dominating with her like I've been playing her for hours. I guess if you give someone a sniper rifle in any game, people are going to try and be pro with it and screw over the whole team. Sombra stealth abilities give her a speed boost that will allow you get to get behind enemies and harass them. You also have a trans-locator you can leave behind to escape when you're discovered. Think of a more calculated tracer. Its definitely a higher skill tier as there is more to her rotation than quick button presses. While her Stealth makes you completely invisible to the enemy team (No predator silhouette) any splash damage can knock her out of it, and Hanzo's sonic arrow will spot her. Her trans-locator can also be thrown in unreachable places giving her more vertical movement than Tracer. Not only can you cross large gaps like flying/leaping characters, but you can reach places only Reaper and Phara could get to previously as well. One of my favorite things to do is sneak pass enemies and deactivate all their health pack nodes. It lasts for about 60 seconds, but in a push, its invaluable when the other team can't grab a pack when their healer goes down. Her main weapon is like a one handed Tracer gun that has a bigger mag. It won't kill too many in one mag, and the ones it can, it will take the whole mag to do it. So while she can flank hard, she cant destroy 2-3 enemies like a pro tracer can. What she offers is a shutdown of enemy skills and ults. You can hack a opponent and only their main fire will work, as they will not be able to use their ult or skills for about 6 seconds. Sombra's ult is an EMP that will deactivate everyone abilities within range, ults, and shields meaning you can completely neuter Lucio's ult after he pops it. On paper, I thought she was going to be OP, but she has enough counter and limits to keep her in check. She's very squishy. The only OP thing about her is that she can see enemies through walls that have less than 50% HP and in that state, you can mow just about anyone down with her main gun. I can't say Sombra is better than Ana, because they both serve a different purpose, but Sombra is better than Ana for those idiots that kept picking Ana when she first hit the scene. Even if you spam invisibility and use her gun only, it's better than people trying to rambo with Ana... and yet here we are. I hate randoms.
  11. The whole ep popped up on Facebook so I watched it and thought it was really good. It premiers the end of this month apparently. I figured they'd have it on YouTube since it was on facebook. Here its the pilot EP if anyone is interested.
  12. I think dice took it too much to heart with people saying they were overwhelmed with choices. That's why assignments are gone. BF4 had a lot of MMORPG elements that I think appealed to people like us, but not so much to the causal FPS player at large. Especially when you lock a gun around a task that only high skilled players can perform ala finish top 3 in Gun Master. If DICE let us choose attachments they'd have to rebalance the entire game. All you'd ever see is the Seb with foregrip and telescopic sight. They handicapped each weapon by denying them certain attachments for reasons, but the lack of customization is grinding on people.
  13. From the Operations I've played the second maps pop up a lot more now that Attack got boosted... there are still shit teams that can't get there though. There is no excuse not to get the first sector as defenders have nothing. They don't get tanks, planes, or horses, and they don't even get an AA gun in most cases... yet it happens. I played Kaiserslacht today and lost because I was the only assault trying to take out tanks. I love assault, but I'm tired of playing assault. I wish I could be on these teams that can run wild with tanks. Everytime I get into one, I get TNTed and AT naded to oblivion. The progression system is ass in this game. The medals are meh, the dog tags are 100% hot garbage, and most of the skins are the same crappy camo. Its WWI, so obviously we aren't going to get anything outrageous. But when you have slick skins like Warhorse, Bruiser, Doughboy, and The Medicine... its annoying when the rest of the legendary skins are the same damn camo pattered... I'm looking at you Riot, Blue Devil, The Mexican, and the two for the Madsen and Gewehr 95. I love the game play... but its a lot like BC2 where they just couldn't make enough stuff. Rank 4-9 offer nothing for each kit. Like Strider said, the Hellriegle and Martini-Hentry are the only real upgrades over what the class has to offer. The Seb Factory can't hold a candle to the Sweeper and Mondragon. The Huot is just terrible all around. I'm not burnt out, but I will be toning down my play for a bit when GW2's new map comes out.
  14. That guy was mad So was this guy What happened Sledge?
  15. Revision 5 has some nice legendary pistol skins.  I blew 1800 scrap to get the automatico twice. -_-; I'm probably going to just save up for a week they have a legendary Frommer Stop and Martini-Henry.

  16. Support should get a camera that's not as effective as spot flares, but can spot enemies in a field of view for a short time like the bomber has.
  17. Now that I'm off work I can give a better analysis. Support is still the weakest class. Even with the gun improvements, all its guns still have the worst TTK. You can take your favorite support weapon and put it in any other classes arsenal and you'd never touch it again. Support should get trip wire back. Scout's kit is too strong with a wide array of offensive and defensive gadgets. Signal flares are single handedly the best gadget in the game for large game modes, and you get 2 other items that locate enemies on the map on top of it. Even with trip wire, I hope support's kit gets some love in the DLC along with its weapons. I can't tell from Sledge's video if the airship AA AoE is nerfed, its extremely hard to hit someone from the distance they were shooting at him. You have to arc the stream of shells and even then its hard. If its nerfed like that, then good, but I'm more interested in if someone is directly under you. As it was, it took about 4-5 hit markers to see a kill. Anyone that cries about the AA nerf is delusional. Its a decent nerf that still leaves planes no match for them, your best bet is do pull some shaky maneuvering til you can get away. AA was so strong that people actually used the stationaries in this game, which was highly uncommon in just about every other BF game. (See BFF Turrets ) The shotgun nerf is a complete joke. They basically normalized the damage across every area of the body, actually buffing its damage to limbs. The only thing taking away the headshot mutipler did was preventing higher crits when shooting someone prone facing towards you. This just cements the Model 10 as the best shotgun, as it made all the other shotguns slightly worse. The 10's future is questionable, while its super OP in small game modes, it doesn't shine quite as much on every map in big game modes. You're not going to beat a Medic or Scout without the element of surprise. I see a lot of people still using the MP18 and Automatico. The 10 would be easy to fix by simply adjusting its damage drop off by just a little bit. It's slow fire justifies is power, but when I can snipe a dude with it, or kill someone across the street in Amiens with 3 blasts... I mean, c'mon? It's OP. The Russian's nerf is a PC focused nerf. On paper it looks huge, but watching Sledge's videos, it doesn't seem like much at all. It's still faster than the bolt actions. I'm sure the Russian was a lot more effective on PC with a mouse. Overall I like the patch, but I'm disappointed they didn't reduce everyone's gas nade count to 1. Gas attacks favor the assault class more than any other class. Model 10 and Automatico Trench face zero penalty under the affects of the gas mask. As a scout you're reduced to the Frommer, which is a damn good pistol, but you aren't going to be beating more than one person like assault can. The SL Sweeper has great hipfire, but you're regulated to that weapon, and not everyone likes to play balls to the wall aggressive as medic. If they are never going to nerf gas, they should allow ADS with the mask on in prone, like the AT rocket gun can be.
  18. It's a little slower, but I think the nerf was more for PC players that can acquire targets much faster than we can on console. However, I wish they would balance separately like Overwatch.
  19. I tested the BAR. It's not even noticeable. At least for the storm varient. AA is where it needs to be now. Its still really strong, but I was able to get away from it half the time with about 20-40% of my health. It still took the airship down pretty fast. The buff to attack was good in the one game I played before work. It lasted a good 2 hours because we lost 1 attack on SQS and another on Amiens. But we won in the end. I think speeding up the cap might prove to be too advantageous for attack. The ticket increase and regain increase between sectors was good enough. Well see how it goes.
  20. http://forum.symthic.com/battlefield-1-general-discussion/battlefield-1-technical-discussion/10859-15th-november-2016-battlefield-1-patch-notes-symthic-style/?s=2f43d6230f23d8162046219eddbb97add7702062 Looks like the Model 10 escaped relatively unharmed XD. The Russian 1895's RoF got a significant nerf. Update: Yeah, model 10 is unaffected
  21. I finally won on attack on Oil of Empires. We lost once on Suez, and once on Sinai, we were on the last attack with 30 tickets left and pulled it off. I can't talk about the Martini-Henry enough.. this is my RPG of this game XD. Now I have my best snipe in any game ever... I didn't think I'd ever top my M1903 moving boat headshot... but here is a moving boat collateral with the Martini-Henry! I was going to compile all of these together, but this one got lost some how. I was so pissed, because I thought PS4 didn't record it, but it just placed it in a odd order form how I recorded it. And last but not least, and Ode to my favorite assault weapon.... which will probably get nerfed today with the incoming patch. It was a fun ride... here are some bullshit shots and outright massacres. On a side note, it seems that using a wired connection improved video upload quality slightly. The red names arent compressed as much, and the text is much clearer in these videos that I've seen before.
