  1. I was able to both complete the map and finish the episode tonight. The episode was pretty good, the shock value was mostly front loaded this time around, but there were some nice twists at the end. The map trumps the story this time, which is the opposite of last time where the map was meh and the story was whoa. The map is self is what players have probably wanted this whole time. Its big, its vast, and it has multiple events that aren't tied together in a map wide meta. It took new elements from BSF and HoT overall, and put it into a core style map. It works really good. There are a bunch of champion battles, and a unique world boss fight. It seems the old world boss rules apply here as you only get the "big chest" loot once a day, but you still get the event reward floaty chest. I maxed out my karma bonus for the map, Ember Bay is going to give EoTM K-Trains a run for their money. Thimbles of karma drop often after killing foes. I got 80k for just what bit I played. If Ember Bay is any hint at what will come in the future of GW2, map knowledge will be a higher requirement. This map is the size of Snowden Dirfts and it only has 4 WP. The propulsion mastery is the best way to get around the map. Some of these will throw you into 1-2 more launchers, but you can prevent this by deploying your glider in mid flight. Knowing which ones go where, and if you need to cancel the chain is key to getting where you need to go fast. Thankfully they seem to drop the inactivity timer that exist on HoT maps, because that die would never WP if they couldn't get back in time before they lost participation.
  2. FINALLY made Platinum on Overwatch comp. Went on a 6 win 1 draw streak after the opening match was a loss. Once the team scores start averaging 2500 Its so much better. They honestly need to scrap the algorithm that ranks you lower on purpose after placement matches. 2300 and below is horrific with idiotic picks. Once I got past my season high and hit the mid 2400's the team comp and matches were insanely different and way more competitive. Elo Hell is a real thing for solo q, I don't care what Force Gaming says or anyone else. You can't make much of a difference when someone is picking a bad pick on attack. Damn I'm thrilled right now.

At least someone picked Lucio. XD

Grats (just noticed this, these 10 hour days are slowly killing my brains ability to function).

XD, that's pretty much QP picks in the lower levels.

  3. The glaring issue with the new point system was Behemoths, Once your team got them, it was a guaranteed loss. I never saw it turn the tide, and even in the alpha people said the blimp just caused a loss because it took a squad and 1 person off the field of battle. When it comes down to it for me, I play 300% ticket matches anyways when the server rentals go live. Hopefully the changes to rush will increase the player count. 24 is too small, and there is no excuse for it with this game no longer being tied to last gen.
  4. I thought I was going to be a fan of kills not counting towards the score, but after seeing how it rendered Medic class undesired among the playerbase, I'm glad they brought it back. The Train/Blimp/Dreadnought will be more terrifying as they can now drain tickets fast. Horse HP nerf is def needed as well.
  5. The issue is the skip revive and no revive icon on dead teammates unless they requested it. DICE said they are going to change that though.
  6. Support should get AT Mines, they honestly don't match with Assault. Assault can use TNT like mines, and there really isn't much incentive to use them over Rocket Gun and TNT. If Support got TNT though, I'd play it a lot more on Rush, so i can TNT telegraphs non-stop and keep resupplying myself.
  7. Thats some bad ass looking blades. They'd def be a cash shop item in GW2 Ain't that right @Sledgstone?
  8. The running animation is hilarious, and damn that brings back memories of badly obstructed camera angles. Those were the days. Just about every free roam unfixed camera game in the PS1-PS2 era had them.
  9. I've worn the same par of Vans for almost 15 years. No other pair of shoes I've ever owned have lasted this long. The inserts are pretty much flattened to where I can feel every pebble of gravel under my foot, but the exterior is still perfectly intact minus the usual dirtiness acquired over such a time. I ordered a new pair of Vans and I'll probably get some new inserts for my current ones.

My Carhartt is great, but the water resistance is nothing like it used to be. I thought the quick duck material was naturally water repellent but I notice all the quick duck gear is marketed now as "with Rain Defender® durable water repellent". Maybe mine was labeled like that too back when I bought it but I don't remember. After a few years and occasional washings, my coat needs a new coating of this water repellent but I don't see where I can buy a carhartt brand spray bottle of it online. I'm hesitant to use the water repellent I use on my grill covers because that stuff darkened the color of the fabric. I'm going to call the official Carhartt store in the mall near me and ask if they sell the actual rain defender spray once it gets closer to winter.

XD yeah I had some Dickies shirts like that and within 3-4 washes it just turned into a normal absorbent shirt.

lol. yep. I like Dickies brand belts, but their shirts and pants always felt noticeably heavier to me compared to similar styles of other brands. Hows the quality of the shirts besides the water repellent properties? XD

  10. Elona and Cantha could bring more space, but the core map is running thin at the rate LW is going. Especially with the next expac a year away. I'd suspect the fire island chain and far shiverpeaks to be completely uncovered by the end of it unless they slow down on the maps. That just leaves the Woodland Cascades, Isles of Janthir, Blazeridge Mountains, and what will probably be the expansion maps in the Crystal Dessert. There is a land mass southwest of Orr as well. So if they kept going at that rare, 2 expansions from now they're def going to have to go to Elona. Before HoT came out they had a slower approach. Dry Top was released in tiers where we only got half the map until the vine bridge grew to the second half, and then the sandstorm meta became a thing. SWs was similar as we didn't get the Grotto underground until the second half, and the VW meta didn't come into play until midway season 2. I was expecting no map this next story but we're getting Ember Bay, so I'm curious if they are going to split up the FIC into 2-3 sections similar to the old system.
  11. If you've never played one of these, its just repetitive amazing fun. It plays like a 80s B monster film. Big bugs come down, you shoot them to death, and then bigger, more bad ass bugs and monsters come down. I love EDF, and I can't wait to get this one.
  12. I had the most epic 3-2 Victory on Lijiang Tower. It was probably the most intense, close, evenly matched bout I've ever had in competitive. We won the 1st, lost the next 2, and came back with two wins. The last match no one even captured the point for a good 5-6 minutes of contesting. I got 59 objective kills, 75 eliminations, and 30k damage as Junkrat. I wish every match was like that, instead I mostly get steam roller matches win or lose.

  13. I'm thinking about picking it up for sure. It will carry me straight into battlefield.
  14. They're probably going to be promos for expansions. I doubt we'll ever kill a dragon in the LW. Palawa Joko would be in the LW before the expansion. It's possible we get two dragons for the next expac because the world map is running out of space at the rate this LW is going.

    This looks pretty cool.
  16. It's because planes are pretty useless unless they change the conquest system back. Kills don't cost tickets anymore and kill farming doesn't get wins. So people that got rekt by sniper ridge made their way over there they best and fastest way without getting shot. I loved the sandstorm. It gave me freedom to go anywhere. I got a lot of good kills. I guess I'm use to it because MGSV had the same exact storm effects. I use to go on a mass murder spree of all the guards when it would hit so I could do the rest of the mission in peace.
  17. I think the dynamic weather needs to happen more. I played a lot and I saw the sandstorm maybe 4-5 times and fog once. I think maps like Chateau will make scouts less useful. Even St. Quentin Scar seemed to have more density around the flags. On Sinai C, F, and questionably B had decent cover. The other 4 flags left you completely exposed to scouts.
  18. Mmmm. I think they'll do it justice. That top loaded MG is really accurate compared to the Lewis and the sideways clip strip one. It's going to have a disadvantage in mag size just the same. The two guns DICE knows they can't mess up are the BAR and when the Mosin arrives with the Russians in the DLC. I'll be using support more on medium medium maps.
  19. I'll be spending my War Bonds on the BAR asap.
  20. Just finished Assassination Classroom. It was a lot of fun, even though the premise was stupidly unbelievable.

  21. That's because it didn't blow up. Reaper took it out right as you pressed the boom button. It might still look like it exploded but it won't hurt anyone. When the camera cuts away immediately it means it was destoryed, there is generally a moment of pause as your victims fall. The rip tire has 100hp so it's pretty easily taken it out if you see it coming. I always take it out myself with my Junkrat mine and a Roadhog hook will destroy it asap. If you ever do that again try hitting jump. It won't make much difference for reaper, but it will make it harder for 76 and Zenyatta to shoot at. Plus the tire can climb walls if you hold or tap jump on them.... also make sure you get behind D.Va because if she pops her defense matrix, it would have been all for not. The jump works great on Reinhardt too, because they are looking to turn to what ever side you go through his shield, but they've never suspected up. They may have their horizontal sensitivity ratcheted up to 100, but they don't have their vertical I can tell you that much. The stuff that happens in QP is why I like comp. You have a much greater chance at everyone playing the right roles. As you've seen from my venting, bad picks and selfish players still exist in competitive but healers are picked a lot more. It's rare to not have one, and there are always tanks. Plus you can grind to that sweet gold weapon.
  22. The whole game is the reason why we got BF3 and 4 honestly. It's arguably the most pivotal game in FPS history. Which is why it's sad to see what it has become. All Ghillied Up was amazing. The epilogue mission achievement is crazy, I never could do it.
