  1. I think notifications bugged.... but only on topics I've followed before you updated the email only setting. The most notable one is the Overwatch topic. I don't get notifications when people reply to it. I just now unfollowed and followed it again to see if this remedies the problem. I have mine set to browser only, and to auto-follow any topic I create and reply to.
  2. I played a lot of Tracer today and holy crap I regret not learning her sooner... and I'm glad shes not played heavily on PS4. Your 3 dashes charge separately at a second each. If you time it right you can endlessly dash side to side, back and forward while getting your pot shots and escaping. I read a list of tips for playing her and it really helped out. Shes a considered low damage character, but that's deceptive. Her range is really good, and her recall is like the Mesmer continuum split in GW2. As long as you keep on the move you can get your health back while escaping behind a structure you previously came out of. I'd say Tracer is stronger on console because her dashing makes her harder for opponents to hit with a controller. I know unless I'm Reaper, D.Va, or Torb, its insanely difficult.
  3. I don't think it will get nerfed... but I know people will cry after the beta about it. We're only seeing a compilation video So its kinda hard to compare. Mag size is going to make a difference. Plus if their variance in map sizes is true, then sniping would be at a bigger disadvantage on the map bigger than Caspian, and small maps. I doubt sniping will be as deadly on console as well. I think the current map could be considered a medium-large map where they could test out everything the best. I've wall hugged and stayed in buildings to cap forever, These people out in the open are kinda silly. Maybe it just me, I try not to run out in open field much unless I absolutely have to. The best thing about the new wall-climb feature is that its going to make it even harder to camp. No more camping in the corner now that someone can just jump the wall and get you. But it also provides a quick get away from snipers instead of having to run all the way around the structure leaving yourself vulnerable to a lead off shot.
  4. Started TellTale's TWD a few days ago. I def wouldn't have been able to enjoy this on console. It just works for PC much better. The story is pretty good so far, but I really hope I can let Larry die, because I will the first chance I get. XD

Just wait until you play season 2. It's even better. But damn I do miss Lee. That dude was awesome. He was one of the best characters I've seen in a game in years. When I was watching "fear the walking dead" I had recently beaten this game. They accomplished in that game what would have been an amazing tv series. And the TV series we got instead was a big mess of a failure. I had a significantly bigger emotional attachment to these game characters that I felt horrible when something happened to them. But in Fear TWD any if these characters can get killed off and I wouldn't give a damn.

  5. Genji is one of those middle guys on the pick list. He's frequent enough, if you pull out bastion, someone is always going to pull out Genji. People are finally understanding hard counters. He doesn't need a nerf on consoles. I played Genji the other night to mix it up. I usually feel like he is as squish as Zenyatta, buy it had a Lucio keeping me alive and it makes a huge difference. If someone picks Genji you could do a lot of good with a Zenyatta or Zarya b giving him the respective buff. When I'm Torb, him and mercy are my top priority for armor. He's almost as hard to hit as tracer but his shuriken require way more skill to land hits on console when doing all that shifting around. Reaper's only place is on escort. The other team is focused on the payload allowing you to utilize teleport and flank. His ult shines here to team wipe and allow control over the objective while the other team has to make their way back. Control he's horrible and should never be picked. D.VA is a much better option. While her shotguns do less damage, she has more health, she has ageis, she's way more mobile with boosters, and her ult accomplishes the same thing without putting your self at risk of getting shut down in the middle of it.
  6. With self repair, the medic's repair tool wont be used often probably. Unless you're in a 3 man bomber and treat it like the little bird with 2 engineers in BF4 . The smaller medpac has a real advantage this go around. It will be interesting to see if that 100% insta-revive sticks.
  7. I've been real lazy about playing this game. I need to get to level 20 to start competitive play, I'm at 18. A lot has changed for the meta... if there is a meta. I've read how different console is from PC and it speaks volumes for Blizz's foresight to separately balance this game by platform. Recently Widowmaker and McCree were nerfed. I don't agree with Widowmaker's nerf, and it shows because no one uses her anymore. McCree was way too strong vs. Tanks and he was always on every team. His nerf was justified and done well as he still can wipe squishies with ease. Torbjorn's turrets will get a 30% damage nerf later this month. I can live with this. I just won a match today where the whole team picked Torb and we shut down the other team on Route 66. They didnt get the payload to the first check point. Reinhardt is not the powerhouse he was in the beta or launch. He isn't used as much anymore because Bastion and Phara can hard counter his shield, while Reaper and Tracer can flank him and devastate his HP. One thing I notice on consoles is that no one protects very good. When I play Reinhardt, no one would take out the reaper that shrouded around my shield... if I turned around, I was dead from the barrage of bullets I was blocking with my shield. No one really stands behind the shield anymore either. Bastion isn't used as much either, except for a final stand swap on escort. Hanzo, Genji, Phara, and Junkrat can all end him fast. Reaper isn't picked as much anymore either. I think his cool factor finally wore off. But now that I've been able to play him more, he is a deadly flanker. I've been able to sneak behind the team and take out all of there squishies and Reinhardts. He can also kill D.Va pretty fast. Winston is pretty tough to kill though. Reaper's strength is solely in flanking and surprise attacks. 1v1 head on he's gonna lose more than win. Even low damage characters like 76 and Tracer can melt Reaper because hes slow and clunky. But jump into a clusterfuck of people and you're gonna rip off a ton of kills holding down the fire button. Zenyatta is struggling because he is way too fragile. People target him a lot now because of his Ult and discord orbs. Meanwhile god tier Mercy players will win the match for their team everytime. I was playing with a friend last night and we couldn't beat this team we were playing. Their Mercy was really good and had resurrection on standby more than I've ever seen. Its most likely due to their team having a bigger party and she was piggy backing off a really good Hanzo player. Once I noticed what was going on I kept trying to kill their Mercy but she kept great position, hanging back. I swapped to Phara to get to her faster and someone was always protecting her. Hanzo is the stronger sniper after the Window nerf... thats mostly because his ultimate can clear a point, and good Hanzo players can get his ult a good 5-6 times a round. His deflection arrow also gives a lot of room to missing. Good Tracers are still annoying Winston is used a lot more. His weapon has shit for range, but it melts 200HP characters, and his mobility is crazy good. I've been using him more often. I wish his shield was a bit stronger though. Phara is a monster. Shes become my newest favorite. People don't really look up enough and you can catch everyone off guard. Her boost is great for getting away from Junkrat's rip tire. Her special missile that pushes people back is great for getting people off point or knocking them off the map/high places. Right now 76, Phara, Hanzo, McCree, Junkrat, Torbjorn, and Lucio are the most picked players while Zarya, Symetra, Reinhardt, and Widowmaker are the least picked. Everyone else is a tossup based on team comp. With the new hero being a support sniper, It will be interesting to see how these metrics change.
  8. I guarantee all of your problems stem from your router being outdated. I've never experienced as many issues as you have, and there are over 10 devices connected to my $80 linksys.
  9. Florudie in water was first introduced by Nazi Germany because of its effects on the human brain. It causes complacency.

  11. i've been an advocate against Aspartame for years. I'll let any of my friends know my disapproval of their diet soda drinks. I really dislike all artificial sweeteners. Shit aint natural. http://www.healthy-holistic-living.com/popular-diet-ingredient-now-linked-leukemia-lymphoma-new-landmark-study-humans.html What is funny is how our lovely government agencies have allowed this product to be served for us for years, but told us Coconut Oil was bad for us, along with Butter... which while they may be in unhealthy doses as anything is, neither are as bad as they were made out to be. This allowed the margarine industry to explode... and flies wont even touch the stuff. https://www.statnews.com/2016/06/29/butter-cardiovascular-saturated-fat/
  12. Its def no M429 with a forward grip and holo sight.
  13. Finished Coyote Ragtime Show, it was a really fun watch. It would have been better as a 24 ep anime. It felt a little rushed in places due to squeezing everything into 12... a lot of great action though. Now I'm watching Assassination Classroom which has been pretty good so far.

  14. I picked up where I left off. The population has pretty much died on my server for lower level stuff... which is pretty bad if you want to level up another character seeing as you basically have to do the story over again. My main gripe is that no one is doing the daily bosses anymore, and while I could have soloed some back when I was playing heavily, I've lost a lot of skill since because I can't remember a lot of my combos. Its coming back to me slowly tho. The good news is that I'll be able to easily complete solo quests without fighting for kill credit or gathering sources. I really want to finish the story because it's pretty good. I just hope I have enough means to keep upgrading my weapons and jewelry.
  15. The guy that does Demolition Ranch is officially the coolest dude on YouTube. He has a second channel called Vet Ranch because he is a veterinarian. I have no idea how he has time to document his work and his fun time while editing all the videos to upload for my enjoyment. XD

I watched his Demolition Ranch videos for hours the other day... you gotta watch the one about bullet proof cups. WTF? XD They fail spectacularly. In one of his videos he was shooting through steel plates and his wooden rig he made he joked about it being something a veterinarian put together... and then at the end of his video he said he was a veterinarian... I thought he was joking at first about vet ranch so I didn't even bother to check it out. Then it popped up on my suggested list and I'm hooked on that too. Their vet office is funded by youtube viewers, which is amazing. I might have to send a small donation, because they do a lot of good work.

  16. I wish there was an adblock plus for mobile devices. I forget how spoiled I am with youtube on my desktop sometimes XD. I hate those floating ads that block the article you're trying to read.. and they make the X so small that you'll click on the ad and go to the page. When you hit back, there is the same damn ad again. You have to zoom in to maximum to hit the X. Mobile ads are bullshit, just another reason to use reddit for news on my interests. I usually keep "used desktop site" clicked on my browser just for that and I prefer the full site most of the time. The one i find the most hilarous are newspaper websites that only let you read like 5 articles a week and then want you to subscribe. Really? newspapers are dying because free news on the internet, and they want you to pay for their internet news? I laugh and go to find free article on it.
  17. Tempted to get Doom for the single player... but I'll wait til next year when its even cheaper.
  18. I want to say no since you're playing as Gat? Furi looks pretty cool tho.
  19. Crystal Pepsi is coming back in the next few weeks. I was 9 years old when it came out and I can't even remember what it tasted like. XD I look forward to trying it again.

Oh man. I loved that drink. I'll definitely buy some. All these years later it'll probably disgust me and ruin all those fond memories. XD

I'd say I was excited since I used to drink a lot of it as a kid but I don't drink pop anymore >. < I might have to buy some just to see if it tastes
       the same.

  20. Finished Fafner. It felt like an Evangelion wannabe with an ending similar to Eureka 7. I really wanted to like it, but it was just "ok" really. The only interesting thing about the series was how many pilots died throughout it, and how many mechas were lost. They didn't go hand and hand though. Some of the mechas were piloted by multiple people, while some were lost with their pilots. What was most unrealistic to me was how they all lived in isolation on an island, but seemly had unlimited resources to restock their defenses and repair mechas that lost limbs. XD I'll watch the movie later to see if it redeems the series in anyway for me.

      Strider Hiryu

I thought it was a great show, then again I did watch it back when it aired 12 years ago and haven't watched it since. There were a lot of things I wished they'd of elaborated on while I watched it but it was pretty entertaining overall. There was nothing to salvage after battles Sledge, the enemies weren't human nor did they pilot mechs (they're called Festum and are created by the Mir, what they exactly are is hard to explain) and yes it does take place mostly on the island (some eps take place outside of the island but the majority of it pertains to the islands defenses).

I have yet to watch Heaven and Earth, it's been on my watch list forever and it's buried somewhere on my passport. You'll have to let me know how it is when you watch it. Right of Left was pretty damn good (prequel OVA). I also need to get around to watching Exodus as well but that'll have to wait till after I watch the movie (as it takes place two years after Heaven and Earth).

Yeah the Festum and Mir could have used more depth instead of everyone sulking about Shoko. I guess I didn't care too much for the characters. I didn't really understand the whole Soshi's eye thing, maybe I missed it looking at my phone, but they seemed to refer to it a lot without explaining what actually happened. The main character leaving with the Neo-UN defector seemed half assed, and his quasi-assimilation seemed cheap since he got all fixed up by info given to them by a Festum. It wasn't a bad show. I just wanted more I guess.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

I don't even think they go into more depth in the movie or the 2nd series but that was my major problem with the series. The creators dropped the ball on explaining what these beings were (outside of servants of the Mir, who also didn't get any explanation). It's been so long I don't even remember anything about what happened to Soshi (I think he was merging with the system he used to help the pilots, I don't know).

When it aired it was a good show, now maybe not so much. I should probably give it a rewatch to see if it holds up in my book, I've become quite the anime snob in recent years.
