  1. The Druid reveal has so much tension riding on it. I'll just be happy with some decent AoE mid range options for staff to supplement LB's single target long range.

It'd be funny if druid staff became the new necro axe. Single target bad damage... the amount of rage it would cause... XD

      So much healing potential. O_O

  2. I've seen this method replicated so many times... but this one by far is my favorite... it really puts it in perspective.
  3. My Galaxy 6 loves full site versions more than mobile sites. I find myself clicking the full site option more often than not. My once desire for a more mobile friendly site is out the window.
  4. Tokyo Ghoul's first season feels like it was a complete waste of time just to get to the second season.

Is it worth watching? Been eyeing it for awhile but just don't know if it's worth watching.

The first season should have been cut in half to start season two's story arc, but its still enjoyable, as the other characters are interesting. The concept is interesting too about the Ghouls and how some try to live normal lives within human society. I'm about 4 eps into season two and so far so good.

Now that I finished it I can say the end is lackluster and cliche. Too many plot holes. Too many characters that seem pointless and are never explained.

  5. Battlefront is going to be an open beta. DICE is doing it right this time. Def want a better launch than BF4's first weeks.

The bf4 launch was very bad, but it was EA's own fault for launching it on 5 platforms at the same time. With battlefront being on only 3 they'll have no excuse if there are issues.

At least becoming a hero is completely RNG. Gives less skilled a chance and prevents camping for it.

I'm glad for that. The last thing I want to see happening is hero's being rewarded as kill streak bonuses.

  8. They removed stability from "You Are All Weaklings" :/ Other than that, BWE3 changed are nothing but buffs for Reaper! :D

  9. ROTFLMAO!!! XD Space Dandy Season 2 is dubbed and I just watched the first ep. XD XD XD

  10. That Easter Egg I had to stand around and listen til the end too.
  11. From what I can gather while playing is that this game is a Mass Effect type of time sink. The side ops are too valuable to skip and the variety of them keeps it fresh. Even the redundant tasks like "extract skilled soldier" always take place at different bases that present their own challange. And what I love the most is that if you knock out the base communication arrays, they stay knocked out... even when that base is part of an actual mission.
  12. Finished The Future Diary. Really enjoyed it. I love a good plot twist that I can't see coming.

Mirai Nikki was quite a trip, I enjoyed every minute of it while it aired.

  13. I still wish Snake talked more. He kinda just stands their like a quiet dope while everyone else does the talking. I don't miss the codec conversations, but it would have been nice to hear some dialog back and forth when Ocelot or Miller talk to you over comms. Other than that this game is amazing. I'm loving Ocelot playing the "Colonel" role as far as in the field support. They put a ton of MMO type crafting into the Motherbase aspect. Now that I have my base built up a little bit, I've developed a binocular upgrade that tells me what enemy soldiers' skill ranks are for each aspect. This saves me a lot of time and extraction devices. If I don't see anyone with at least a B rank in anything, I'll skip the outpost altogether. I've also got to the point where I can make a better sniper rifle that the crappy one you can develop first. Its probably my favorite weapon in the game. Its just too handy when things get hot. Enemy AI is very good in this game. They shoot flares at night to spot you and then sling mortar fire in your direction or they jump on the heavy guns. Sniping them off these are crucial. Right now, suppressors for assault rifles are completely useless. They barely last one magazine before they go bad. The tranq gun can get off about 15 shots before it goes bad... its just as crappy really, but you can pick and choose your shots at least. Getting one on a sniper rifle is top priority.
  14. Its very minor compared to the overall picture. its 300GMP per extraction success or fail. Heli extractions are the safest 100% success rate at the cost of inconvenience so I rarely use it. 300GMP is childs play since you can get 100,000GMP at least for a mission. Killing people during the mission with deduct from your final earnings, but I've learned it doesn't wreck your grade as much as alerts and getting hit by bullets does. If you get caught you might as well slaughter the whole base and finish out your mission in peace. I got a B rank doing that the last mission, when I've scored Cs for only killing one or two people. Free roaming for side ops allows you to do as you please. You can kill indiscriminately with no penalties... but getting spotted will hit your Heroism score... which is basically a reputation system similar to any sandbox game (Infamous, Red Dead Redemption, etc). The hit isn't very much however, as you can negate it by eliminating/stunning everyone at an outpost which is worth your time. Every time I am on my way to a mission or side op and I cross an outpost, I always knock everyone out and scout for supplies. Harvesting plants, and collecting materials from bases and outposts is important for developing technologies from motherbase. They put a lot of MMO type stuff in this game, and it works well. I've played 6 missions and 5 side ops and I've barely broke 1% of game completion. Recruiting every soldier you come across isn't ideal as they all have crappy ratings for each field of study. Instead interrogation is key. Most of the time you get info on where valuable resources are, but sometimes they will tell you who is a specialist on base... these guys are the ones you want to knock out and extract. I generally just knife everyone else after they tell me what I want to know.
  15. From what little I've played, I like this game a lot. The Motherbase concept adds a whole new layer of gameplay. Instead of just rewarding you for not killing, you can extract those that you knock out to join your R&D team back at motherbase. You can upgrade your armaments, your chopper, and horse among other things. I also like the play the mission like you want aspect. I was tasked in taking out a Russian officer at a heavily guarded base. There were multiple ways to go about getting him, but I took the cheap way out by having sniper rifle developed and shipped to me. I shot him through the window of the base and rode off in my horse... of course I only got a C rank for the mission, but oh well. Scoring better in missions gives you more currency. Developing technologies is not free, and maintaining funds is important. Just about everything costs money from killing people, to extracting them.
  16. I'm running full zerk on Reaper right now. I love the 100% crit uptime.
  17. Initial thoughts on BWE2 -Reaper improvements are amazing as far as Greatsword goes. Nightfall no longer roots you, and Grasping Darkness now tracks the target as long as it's in front of you. The 20% GS damage increase along with the 100% recharge of Gravedigger on targets below health threshold make it monstrous. I wouldn't mind a speed increase, but I doubt it will happen. Insta-cast for "You are all Weaklings" is also a welcomed change. The ability to might stack in RS was severely toned down. That is disappointing because RS doesn't last as long as DS, and the harder hits were justified as a result IMO. I hope this gets upped again. - Daredevil is beastly for a pro player. You can still get one shotted easily in Maguuma, so its still an unforgiving class to play. I'm already seeing posts how they are a nightmare in PvP and WvW though, and I fully expected that. - Berserker concept is neat, but I'm not feeling it. Greatsword is still the best weapon, and I'm not sure that the torch skills are better than Axe off-hand. I'm not a fan of Warrior play-style as is, so I really can't give a good judgement if its all that great. -The BWE2 map is a lot smaller than BWE1 unfortunately. Its a smaller section that takes place west of the BWE1 area. There are less events, but at least they aren't bugged. I suspect that was one of the reasons the same part of the map wasn't selected. The Faren event chain is hilarious though, and the Wyvern fight is a lot more difficult. The event chains award a lot more champ bags, which I hope is a new trend. Events like these are fun, challenging, and rewarding. That will make them replayable, and more enjoyable than running around opening dug up chests. The WPs are unkind to death, especially if you don't have the bouncing mushroom mastery to scale up the cliffs fast. I have mixed feelings on that... for one I like the challenge, but on the other hand there will be a lot of dead bodies scaling things up because of people not willing to WP and miss out on the chest drop. On top of that, people are a lot less open to rezing others when enemies hit so hard... I've been left to die a few times, only to watch that person die as well when we could have taken a vet down together. - People are complaining on the official forms, accusing Anet of nerfing the mobs and thats simply not the case. There are hardly any Vet Smokescales on the map, and far less Mordrem snipers and other corrupt sylvari. The Hylek baddies still hit hard, but they are slow and clunky with a ton of HP... Totally different enemy types this go around.. aside from those annoying mushroom things that are quite punishing.
  18. It will be interesting to see how the Axe rework goes. I don't expect anything drastic. I can see a small % increase in attack speed and maybe some range. Reaper Shroud's outstanding cleave attacks pretty much negates any chance of Axe having that feature, especially when GS cleaves as well.
  19. https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/designing-challenging-content/ It will definitely be interesting to see how this works. GW2 purposely lacks the "Holy Trinity" causing everyone to go full dps, relying on evades and group buffs provided by certain classes. It has had unintended affects like cheese stacking, and class discrimination against Necromancer. It seems Raids will not allow this type of behavior. Necromancer is the closest you can come to a "tank" class, its self sufficient, high HP, and has a "second life bar" in the form of its shroud skill. It looks like they will finally have a rightful place in group content by the description given in the link. Pure speculation, but I also think thief stealthing will have a vital roll that actually has substance rather than mob skipping. They'll be able to remove aggro from players performing certain rolls in the event chain. If there is an escort event, they can stealth it. The Daredevil elite spec will allow them to survive dangerous encounters with limitless evades. Likewise, Guardians will continue to provide protection, and tank if need be. Guardian HP is half of what Necro HP is.. but a good guardian player can tank just as good if not better. It just takes more skill by timing blocks and managing condi cleanse ICDs. The new signet elite heal is going to be meta Elementalists will continue to provide devastating AoE DPS, and group heals. Tempest buffs are quite good, and I hope Ele's will realize how useful they will be despite the sour grapes they have over their elite spec. I have a feeling Tempest was designed for raids. It will force Ele players to play more of a guardian roll, rather than the world beaters they are use to being. Maybe raiding will change their tune on their spec. Mesmers will have a lot more demanded from them. Mastering Continuum Split is going to be a given. They may have to tank, they will provide the group with unblockable attack buffs, and they will continue to boon strip and reflect. Portal skipping won't be an option in raids... although it may still have its place for niche senerios Warriors roll will stay the same. Provide group strength, and lay down some DPS. Phalanx Strength builds may not be viable in PvE open world HoT, but I'm sure it will still have a welcomed roll for raids. Especially when bosses will enrage if they are not taken down fast enough. With Berserker self fire field, they will be able to blast finish themselves if all else fails. Rangers will draw aggro, and can tank if the situation is desperate. I have a feeling their roll could be a lot bigger pending on the Druid reveal. Base ranger won't have a lot to bring to the table as it is. Same goes for Engineer outside of the DPS sinister build. Their elite specs will probably be meta for raids as they will be revealed last after raids were announced. The most important thing is that every class will have a role to fill. There may be a lot of friction from some players though. Most of us hardcore players have more than one class we are fluent with (Guardian, Necro, Mesmer, Ranger for me )... and taking 5 rangers into a raid will probably be a recipe for failure going against GW2's traditional "play how you want" motto. Raid parties will need to be diverse... there probably won't be a necessary meta, but having more than 3 of anything won't be wanted. The "This is the most optimal build for a speed run" thing won't exist IMO because the raid will feature event chains that can't be rushed through, skipped, or cheesed.
  20. It's sad... I wish Bungie would have went to EA instead of Activision.
  21. I ordered MGS:V on Amazon so it would come after BWE2... now Battlefront Beta is in October... I don't know how I am going to balance my game time. X_x

I'm going to pass on MGS V myself.. at least for now. I played ground zeroes and I couldn't figure out how to stealth kill unconscious enemies so I got pissed at the game. XD I could kick them to death, but that took too long. I can pick them up and throw them off a cliff, but I can't just stab them in the throat while they lay there sleeping? wtf. x_x

It was probably taken out of the game because once you knock them out they don't wake up unless you stay too close to them or another guard finds them and wakes them back up. I tranqed a lot of guards during missions and they stayed down the rest of the duration. It's a welcomed change to encourage full stealth runs.

  22. I'll admit, the Queen is looking pretty hot in her 2 seconds of trailer time... I'll be watching cut scenes on youtube... I'm done with the misleading trailers.
