  1. I like how they didn't put it in cinematic mode and left the HUD and health/shield meters in.
  2. I was glad to see Athelstan return... and I was also happy that Ragnar told him he wanted him to come back. Athelstan may be struggling with religion, but through it all he can see one thing clearly... As a monk he was a slave, under Ecbert he was a slave, threatened with death.... but with Ragnar he is a free man. Ragnar respects him... it goes back to when he left him in charge of his kids while he and Lagertha went on a raid. He saw Athelstan's moral standards and trusted him... respect came after... perhaps Ragnar is Atheist as well? Its hard to tell because the series visually despicts that both religions are alive between Athelstan's Christianity allusions and Odin's crows. Ragnar at the least has a more liberal view on the gods... this became evident when he asked Athelstan on this faith and replied that he wished for his gods and Athelstan's god to be friends one day. Ragnar is looking outside the box and this is what is causing Floki to lose respect for Ragnar on the surface.... but you never know with Floki.
  3. Destiny's Instagram is teasing hard about tomorrow's announcement.

Did they announce anything yet? O_O

  4. Nope, but if thats how it ends then the manga is pretty shit too, They could have finished it in two more episodes... maybe even one. After all said and done, I think a prequel of Alucard and Walter fighting off Nazi's the first time around would be pretty damn cool.
  5. Ecbert is the exact opposite of Horik. He knows what he is doing and has balls of steel while doing it. He's smart and patient. I really like this character. He's turning out to be a great villain, but its hard to hate him because he has yet to do anything really despicable yet. Horik once again proves his inability to lead, this time on the battlefield. Ragnar knew they were walking into a trap and Horik lead them right into it... and then blamed it on the gods rather than admit Ragnar was correct in wanting to wait. He acts like a spoiled brat, even at the negoiating table. Thankfully Lagertha is stepping in to make things happen. The deal Ecbert set forth is a pretty sweet deal even if you take away everything that has happened between the first time him and Ragnar met. It wouldn't surprise me if Horik pulls a Haraldson and wants all of the proceeds even though he had nothing to do with brokering the deal. Princess Kwenthrith is who Bjorn must marry as foreseen by the seer... I wonder if he can handle her whorebag nature. The exchange between Ragnar and Floki on his trustworthiness was epic. It will certainly be put to the test in the season finale, along with Siggy's inner conflict... if she does this, Rollo will never forgive her and it would not be worth it.
  6. I take it back, the Ending was shittier than Trinity Blood.
  7. Ok, now that I'm on OVA 5, this is definitely a lot better than the original.
  8. Here is TNT's long promo for Season 4 of Falling Skies. Click here to view the article
  9. Here is TNT's long promo for Season 4 of Falling Skies.
  10. Hellsing Ultimate, so far it doesn't seem to be much of an improvement over the original.
  11. Batman Under the Red Hood was awesome... I hope this is just as good.
  12. Mushishi is def one of my favorites. It was very unique.
  13. Yeah Sons of Guns pissed me off. I stopped watching mid last season. It was cool when they invited mythbusters, after that it went down hill so hard.
  14. Freezing... a Sekirei rip off... lol

Try Kill la Kill, much better use of your time over Freezing :/

Yeah, they're both fan service heavy featuring busty fighters whose clothing easily rip during combat XD. I don't think funi has kill la kill on their streaming service yet.

Honestly I thought the story was pretty good. They could have spent less time on Setallizer and Kazuya relationship development. But I'll watch Season 2 when it is dubbed.

  15. This is History's first go at an original TV series. I really didn't expect to like it as much as I do. I don't know if they were even prepared for how successful it was going to be. No doubt last season was better than this season, but I still look forward to what they have planned. While they haven't stayed 100% historically accurate on minor details, the question remains will they stay true to history as far as the fate of some of the characters. If they do, it could piss a lot of people off. lol
  16. My point is that if they lose, they'll have to do a time skip. They lost too many men last time and if they lose with Lagertha's men, they won't have any more unless they bring in another Earl, or wait for their young to age. But before that they will have to address the tension between Ragnar and Horik. Plus if Floki leaves that would put Ragnar in a position where losing ships is costly. Horik is trying to undercut Ragnar as he is starting to realize he might be too ambitious. He holds the advantage of speaking the Saxon language.
  17. Ever since Horik came into the picture hes cause more problems than anyone. What kind of king doesn't have ships and forces, and how does he command respect with such frugal resources? Its funny how he wanted Ragnar to look past Jalborg taking all his land and forcing his family into hiding, but Ecbert kills a few of his men when he could have gone back with Ragnar to help, and he demands revenge? Lagertha is new to the game. While she was at Ragnar's side for a while, she just became Earl with little experience. All three are not on the same page, and I think it is going to affect the battle in the next episode to where they lose pretty bad. Horik is going to throw a fit and blame it on Ragnar... although I hope they just kill him off, or have him severely injured. If they lose the battle, they're going to have to do another time skip next season to where they can get more fighters in the way of Ragnar's other sons becoming of age.
  18. Akira will always have a special place in my heart because it was one of the two first anime I've ever watched when Sci-Fi channel aired it along with Vampire Hunter D in the 90s. Before that, I had never seen such violence in animation, or even a serious story in that format. If I had to choose my favorite anime movies I'd go with Princess Mononoke and Castle in the Sky... I love Miyazaki's work. The story and the art work behind his films are always amazing whether its something he did in the 80s or something hes done in the past 10 years. I can't say I've disliked anything I've watched by him. My top 10 favorite anime series is in a constant state of change now that I have access to so many series, I'll stick with a series that has been completed. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood I was a huge fan of the original anime, and I still like it for what it was. Compared to the actual magna, the direction they went was kinda oddball when they surpassed it. Brotherhood is so much better. I love the story, and I love anime in which every character matters, (Unlike DBZ where only Goku matters). With as many important players both protagonist and antagonist, I like how they kept them all relevant. Each death mattered. The animation style, the fight sequences, and the sound track are all well done. The ending was complete which is always important to me. I'll get to One Piece one day, but before I commit to that many episodes, I'm still checking out shorter 12-24 ep series before I delve in.
  19. http://www.vg247.com/2014/04/17/ps4-update-coming-soon-adds-sharefactory-video-editing-suite-removes-hdcp/ I wonder if they'll lift the limit on how much memory per game of clips you can have.

  21. Yeah you really need to find a download of the final season. It was amazing. No house drama. In fact, nothing in the house was filmed outside of the nailing the target on the eliminated. Gabby was the first female to win an elimination challenge. It was a really good season. On Facebook the fan base praised it for having the best sportsmanship of any season. The trick shot challenge features some great marksmanship between a few of the guys that could have taken the easy win but made difficult shots instead to advance. It sucks that Season 1 and the last season were the best... all the final challenges were epic, but the first and the last season overall were the most pleasant to where you didn't despise a shooter.
  22. I've stopped watching a lot of my favorite gun building reality shows because they shift the focus from the builds to stupid workshop drama and fake issues that supposedly would make them miss deadline. Their newsfeeds and comment sections are filled with anger and such. When you're catering to certain crowds, they watch the show for the subject material, not some BS drama. That audience watches shit like survivor. I'm surprised they filled it will drama on the first season... normally they reel everyone in and then the following seasons they insert that garbage. In the final season of History's Top Shot they removed all the house drama and made it solely about competitive shooting. The fanbase loved it, the ratings grew by a double digit percentage, and then History cancelled it after that... it seems TV execs don't have a clue that people like informative, intelligent material about their hobbies. Not storylines about personal drama. Hell there is even a website you can go to to look up people that have been on some of these shows telling you how fake it is. American Guns was cancelled because the tv execs felt like they didn't have any more stories to tell... umm wtf? No one watched it for the stories, they watched it for the gunsmithing.
  23. At least you now how to do a screen shot now. XD XD Droid Sky View is a pretty awesome app, you can hold it up to stars in the sky and it will show you where the planets, constellations, and even the international space station is. Jupiter was super bright last night, I thought it was a star, and was surprised when the app labeled it as Jupiter.
  24. The the landfill comes up empty handed though, it might add more charm as a "This is what really happened" or what not. Or even if they do find something pending on the end of his film. lol
