WWE Network Revealed... The Future of TV
DeathscytheX replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Movies, TV & Books
Interestingly enough, the Raw I watched form June of 2000, Benoit took 3 direction chair shots to the head, went head first into a locker and pepsi machine, and then got rock bottomed on the hood of a limo in the span of 20 seconds.... hindsight is 20/20. The Montreal Screw Job was a real screw job, so I don't categorize it as a swerve. lol I couldn't stand Ric Flair. In fact, Macho Man Randy Savage became my favorite wrestler when he defeated Flair for the title. John Cena was a better heel, and he was pretty funny with those free styles... He faces the 95 Hulk Hogan staleness now, but the WWE wont make him heel because his merch keeps selling for the kids from what I've read. The Rock is by far the most talented on the mic, heel or face, he was simply hysterical. Bret Hart was an amazing heel X'D Hart said this was his favorite moment in all of his WCW career... man was it funny. Stone Cold and the nWo were intriguing heels because eventually the fans cheered for them... while they were still heels. they both broke those common rules in wrestling, nothing was safe, and the fans loved it... in WCW, a lot of the face characters like Lex Luger started to complain to management because they were starting to get booed. Scott Hall's survey time started swinging heavily in favor of the nWo. They are my favorite stable, and sadly the breakaway of the Wolfpac and then the reunion, and its many revivals ran it into the ground. Jericho was another great character. His talent on the mic rivaled the rock, but had a little more intelligence to them rather than vulgar outlandish shock phrases. In WCW he was the top mid card, and the funniest out of anyone in the company. His feud with Dean Malenko is highly underrated. I'll never forget Ralphus. In WWE, his debut was phenomenal, and he was allowed to thrive in the top card for a good run. Kurt Angle (On Steroids) was a great heel and talented wrestler. He looks so sickly now... My underrated heel is Kanyon... only because he was a part of the funniest angle ever IMO. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5czUMb8HlE -
I watched this on Netflix... it was definitely a made for TV movie in quality... but a lot of fun. Unrealistic in a lot of aspects. but worth your netflix fee to spend time on.

Playstation 4 Standby Mode = SD Netflix for other devices
DeathscytheX replied to Sledgstone's topic in Video Games
Interesting... PS4 standby has never given me issues... I stream on my PC as well when I don't feel like draining my Turtles battery life... When Steam downloads a game it will lag out YouTube and Netflix sometimes while not affecting normal Web browsing. -
Full Metal Panic is the hardest I've ever laughed during an anime. I haven't seen Second Raid, but Fumoffu was hysterical.

WWE Network Revealed... The Future of TV
DeathscytheX replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Movies, TV & Books
I think Hogan was the best villain and hero. Plus no one saw his turn... kids were crying in the arena because of it. One of the great swerves. Just look at all the trash thrown into the ring -
I just watched this on Netflix. I'd say it would be pretty accurate to how things might go the first time we tried something like this, minus the dramatics... not really dramatics, but I'll call it that to avoid spoilers. Basically more boring than whats in Pchan's spoiler box. Its definitely worth watching.

WWE Network Revealed... The Future of TV
DeathscytheX replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Movies, TV & Books
I'll probably get it so relive some childhood memories. Ive been going to a friends house and we busted out the VCR and watched some old Raw's and Nitros. The Regular shows were amazing from 1995-2000 because of the intense rivalry between WCW and WWF. Titles changed hands on Raw and Nitro, and the cards were PPV quality. I knew the day WCW died, that quality wrestling was pretty much over with. You see the same story lines from 15 years ago repacked with different faces now. -
If you haven't seen Samurai Champloo, its a must as well... its made by the same people that did Cowboy Bebop and Wolf's Rain... I couldn't get into Wolf's Rain like you did, but Champloo is amazing with heavy action, some comedy, and a great all around story. The ending doesn't disappoint. It mixes ancient japan with modern day aspects to keep it fresh and original. First Episode

Thats probably the future they have planned. You can make endless money on subscriptions without ever having to put money into R&D and the hardware every 5-10 years... instead you can just upgrade the hardware that runs the whole thing... without mass production, you're saving a bunch. EA and Activision would go along with it because not only would they not have to burn cash on discs and cases, they could get a constant money flow from their piece of the pie.

Lmao, This looks terrible. I can deal with the outdated graphics, but the mechanics of the game look like any shitty game they try to bring out before the movie. I've never heard of the studios that pop up at the beginning.

If it was uploaded to a geocities or angelfire account back in the day, then probably not.

Angel Beats is another amazing series if you want to cry, laugh, and get pissed off all in the same episode.

LOL. I wonder if his face got sore from that permanent scowl. I thought the violence was bad ass.... you can tell it wasn't high budget, and it was all filmed in all of 3 locations. It was a damn good film that stayed within tight purse strings.

For realz, you need an avatar and adjust your sig in settings. lol

Wow, long time no see. Good to see another old member make a post.

I just watched this on netflix and thought it was a lot of fun. I remember seeing complaints on the slow-mo somewhere.. but really it only happens in the first 1/5 of the film and the last scene... Its better than the Stallone version, but its not something thats gonna blow you mind... Its worth watching.

A lot of my friends are unimpressed with this... We were all really excited about it, and now its just meh... If you made a box that could play Ultra PC games... but thats all it could do. I'd pay $600-700 for it to play all the steam games, and upgrade it myself as time passes... but instead they made some shit that can't play all steam games, and really just seems like a waste of cash. I'm glad I have a PS4 more than ever now.

They seem to be playing to a niche crowd rather than to a mass market.... which would have made sense if they were making the hardware themselves, but they are outsourcing it to anyone and everyone... I don't get it.
