  1. . It looks like they are using elements skipped over in the first part of season 3 from the graphic novel since Tyreese shows up much later in the TV series, while combining it with what has been going on in the graphic novel after the prison. Interestingly enough, there is no sign of the Governor... I expect him to show up at the mid season finale after this mystery killer is found out, and conclude the season with a final resolution. Now that I see how close they are to passing the graphic novel. I understand why they've kept the Governor around. If they proceeded, they'd only have about 2 more seasons of source material. Anyways... I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I think DLC is best suited for those types of games. Action/RPGs with +1 play through. Not only do they add a new chapter and set of missions to the story, but most of the time you can play through them in two different ways if the game has a light/dark paragon/renegade good/evil etc play options. For the most part you know effort was put into these because they have to not only build new areas, but pay people to voice dialogue... so it better be good enough to pass through the kotaku/joystiq critics to convince you to buy it.
  3. Yeah thats def nothing new to us 360 users... and it make sense from a business standpoint. It prevents someone from playing their game, and then going to a friends house to freeload all the extra content, or even attempting to transfer it via flash drive. While some DLC is a rip off like extra characters and on disc locked content, A lot of DLC is pretty good stuff and it took man hours to create. Mass Effect's DLC was pretty good from the few I played, All of Borderlands 1 and 2 DLC were great seeing as they added almost 10-20 more hours of game play. BF Premium was well worth what I paid for IMO... Developers have to recoup their money and fund their next project... although I do disagree with the pricing from time to time... we all have COD to thank for that. Then you have the Capcom and Nether Realm fighting series which keeps adding characters that basically have the same moves with different animations... the release them in packs of 4-5, and then release a remix game with all the DLC content on board. lol Thats the DLC I do not like.

    Who was Kaede?

I was 16 or 17 when I showed up here.. now I'm 30... that pretty crazy. lol I remember if you weren't here for an hour, you'd have a lot of reading to do when you came back... I couldn't imagine the notifications I'd have if this format of forum existed back then.

  6. I laughed at the begging when Bale used his Batman voice calling in that he was the only survivor left. I think a lot of people were thrown off because it was more about Marcus Wright than John Connor. They trailers leading up to the film kinda omitted the main plot... and for good reason, but apparently the shock value wasn't well received. I liked the "surprise". Unlike the 2000 movie Supernova in which the trailer presented a space horror flick that ended up being about sex in space, and someone going crazy on a ship..

    Who was Kaede?

Carmie... ;_; I miss her too.
  8. I liked Salvation for what it was. I really don't think much else can be done with this series unless you focus on different characters during the war instead of time traveling and trying to kill Connors.

    Who was Kaede?

Wow talk about old school. It would be nice to have her back.
  10. Only because the context of the scene it took place in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFxxYe2wqZA I've always love the jazzy snap this one had http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dvh7d4AJHDk
  11. I was thinking about Tomb Raider, but I'm so invested in SWTOR right now, I thinking it going to last me til PS4 and Destiny. I plan on playing through it as a Jedi next and at this rate I don't see myself being done with Sith Warrior anytime soon...
  12. I'm wondering by moving all of Woodbury to the Prison, if that will replace the Alexandra Safe Zone from the graphic novel.. It would make sense since they omitted half the prison arch anyways (for cable TV limitations reasons likely). The swarm that caused them to leave Hershel's farm was pretty large, but I don't think it was a herd. That would require some CG or the old extra's trick they use to use to fill up stadiums in movies. I don't think adding stronger individual walkers would be a good idea. At the same time, reparing the fence just to have to taken down again by a herd would be pretty redundant. Mabye the solution would be to have the Governor cause some areas of weakness in the perimeter to allow a herd to break in and cause damage.... plus they have yet to seal "the tombs" where Tyreese and his group got in from. I think Martinez is going to kill the governor anyways with this Show Runner. Graphic Novel Spoilers
  13. I've spent the a long time looking for that test footage that was shown at Comic-Con last year. Unlike Disney's Tron, no one leaked it.. Hopefully we get SOMETHING this year. http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/178061-comic-con-godzilla-director-teases-big-announcement http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=106212 More concepts of Godzilla and possible Foes.. http://www.godzilla-movies.com/news/520 I don't think Mothra would work in US markets... I hope we never resort to Mecha Godzilla or Space Godzilla ever again . I'd like Ghidorah back. Destoroyah or Gigan would be cool... or an all new monster. Gypsy Danger as Jet Jaguar? No thank you.
  14. Thats basically how its been in the graphic novel, outside of a few herds as they call them, people are more of the threat than walkers starting with the Governor and beyond. That was in the preface of the first issue. It wasn't necessarily a zombie story, but a story about humans and how they would interact after the world had collapsed as we know it.
  15. The end is pretty finite. I think Del Toro knew it wouldn't be a mega blockbuster and more of a service to us that grew up on Toho films. I've read they're banking harder on international sales. He made the film for fun as a project he's always wanted to do. I hope it opens up the gates along with Godzilla, I'd like to see a giant monster revival in the film industry. This movie was a mix of Godzilla, Independence Day, and Robot Jox.
  16. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/walking-dead-scott-gimple-season-4-583265 This has me excited. Season 1 - Awesome Season 2 - Draggy Season 3 - Started out amazing, finale fizzled out. and left baggage. Season 2 should have been condensed to where season 3's mid season finale was its season finale, season 3's season finale would serve as its mid season. I wish they wouldn't have carried the Governor into the next season... but then again the next antagonist in the graphic novel just isn't fit for TV. They had to water down the Governor a little for cable tv... it would have to be A LOT for the next guy. I get that they aren't trying to pass up the novel perhaps... but this isnt anime, filler eps will cause a demise of the program. Graphic novel spoilers
  17. After a few days of dwelling on this movie, I love it more and more. Its sad that Grown Ups 2 is beating it in the box office.
  18. Finally got my hands on TWD Vol. 17 and 18!

Nice! Those are the most recent volumes right? You'll be completely caught up. What about the issues being released after 18, will you keep up with those or wait for Volume 19?

I'll only read Volumes... I blew through both of those within an hour and I'm already feigning for more. Issues would be too small for me. :P

By the time of release, you might not know what you're getting or not getting.
  20. The movie was a ton of fun, but don't go into it expecting a great story. This is one of the few films I would have advocated for a trilogy format for that purpose. The battles are worth the price of admission though. Seeing as Legendary is doing the next Godzilla film, the special effects scene looks very promising. Unlike Transformers, they didn't take shortcuts with shaky close ups and rolling around with debris flying everywhere... you can see what is going on. As far as the Neon Genesis Evangelion comparing running wild on the net; outside of visuals the comparisons end there (thankfully). The Kaiju alerts, The command center, Jaeger HUDs, and hangars bare some resemblance, and that was pretty cool. Not really a spoiler on the story, just pacing and structure.. but I hit it with the tags anyway. Story Spoilers, do not read unless you've seen it.
