  1. 3 years later, this game will finally come out.
  2. Tracer from Overwatch makes a cameo. This looks like a lot of fun, but I hope they don't go so nuts with these cameos that it overshadows the story telling.
  3. Mind Field S2E1 is free like S1E1. I really want to watch all of these, but I might wait until the show runs it course and use the free YTR trial to binge it all.
  4. Tried the Monster Hunter Wold beta after the guys I played Destiny with kept hyping it up... eh. Its not for me. The controls are funky, and the explanation of what I was suppose to be doing wasn't very good. I just beat down a monster until it died? I thought I was suppose to be capturing it? I was expecting a finishing move prompt, or a QTE, for a death blow, but it just seemed anti-climatic. Then it sent me to the "Coming Jan 2018, would you like to Pre-Order?" in which I said no and got sent back to the main menu. At this point I knew I wasn't going to try the more difficult quests if I have to go through all that each time, rather staying in the game world and picking another quest that way. I never played a Monster Hunter game before, I always thought they looked neat, but playing it myself left me uninspired.

I didn't know about the training hall. XD I was getting pissed because the legend up top with the moves kept changing and disappearing when I drew my weapon. So I basically mashed triangle a bunch with a little circle and dodge until I won. The UI is pretty terrible. I might try another round with a different weapon.

I'll try out this beta later today if i get the time. It looks decent at least.

I went straight for the Training Hall (it's like the third option on the list) when I loaded it up. I tried out almost all the melee weapons before I was even confident enough to do the first hunt (though all you attack is barrels, they don't let you practice against actual monsters). Sadly I used a weapon that I didn't try out in the Training Hall, the Feather Blade. Luckily it was extremely easy to figure out (though I'm still a little foggy on the whole summon insects to attack thing). Believe me though the combos are pretty much smash Triangle, hit Circle when needed (depending on weapon type), hit X to dodge, and R2 to switch modes/use special attacks (again depending on weapon, some weapons change what they are with R2).

  5. I wasn't too Impressed with the first one, it was basically a rehash of the original with a bunch of nostalgic easter eggs. This looks pretty fun so I'll give it a shot... although Chris Pratt in reality would have died getting caught in that plume because in reality the ash cloud is hundreds of degrees.
  6. BoTW took Game of the Year award and its well deserved, but I'm also glad NieR: Automata got best musical score, because its very well deserved.

If I ever get a switch, BoTW will be the first game I buy.

I figured but I still, personally, don't think BoTW deserves game of the year. Not only is it a safe title for Nintendo it's not even an original IP. If anything Horizon deserved GotY but then again it didn't even stand a chance which saddens me because it's a brilliantly designed game with an amazing soundtrack and story. Damn Nintendo fanboys (I'm j/k btw, I've seen the entirety of BoTW with the exception of the ending and even I admit it's a well designed game and one Nintendo knocked out of the park but sadly since it's Zelda it was guaranteed the GotY award because of nostalgia. No other game ever stood a chance).

  7. So weird. I'm totally getting it though.
  8. It could be just a poor last minute translation. The Middle Ages revolved around a loss of knowledge because at the time the Library of Alexandria was the central hub of all that was known for that region of the world. The collapse of the Roman Empire along with the destruction of the Library caused a major societal setback. It's a bit more complex than that, but those are the two pivotal moments that set off a chain reaction of misfortune. Feudal Japan would be the more proper term for the movie.
  9. Pretty neat. Mostly a refresher, but it covers some of the PSP games and the last PS3 game.
  10. IFC had a Three Stooges marathon on Thanksgiving. After we ate, we watched that the rest of the day. I haven't laughed that hard for that long in a long time. Good stuff.

  11. I watched this and just about all the action happens in the trailer.... through all 13 eps. Pete Castiglione is the worst cover name ever, and Frank Castle's constant scream grunts were a bit obnoxious. Everything was OOOOWWWRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was kinda silly how consistent it was. Overall it wasn't bad. But I expected more. The CGI zipline scene was pretty bad.
  12. I'm still using the condi druid build with Soulbeast swapped out for Druid, seems to work just find. I didn't know dagger was a condi weapon, It didn't seem like it in the beta. I guess I'll have to check it out. I have no interest in trying Deadeye. DD is just an OP class and will always remain the best spec, not only for its raw damage output, but its sustain. I could never play base thief because of how squishy it was, but that healing signet is a difference maker.
  13. I love unfogging all the maps super fast. I found my favorite points to start from on each map and send a alt there to swoop the whole thing in a few minutes. I went ahead and collected all the new Ranger pets tonight. Out of all the new specs, I think Soulbest is my favorite because it offers the most improvement to Ranger's fighting ability. Base Ranger's utilities were never that great for offense, and I really like some of these stances you get. Beast mode adds a nice touch offering new and useful F1-3 abilities the class never has had since the pet occupied that area. The Jacaranda is great for beast mode because it gives ranger a second heal much like Guardian's F2. Outside of beastmode tho, the little tree monster is a bit too aggressive. Holy cow, it chases things down way far off putting me into combat undesirably. I don't know if its a bug just for it, but it seems to want to just fight non stop. There is no reason not to be DD still. I took my thief into Crystal Oasis and ROTFLstomped every forged raiding party I found in seconds, and then melted some Vet Hydras like jokes. Sometimes those Forged Assemblers can do some damage with those spinning blade attacks, but my DD never even gave them a chance to perform it. The Hydra barely could get off one meteor strike attempt before its heads went flying off. With no pocket raptors to mow me down when I'm not paying attention, PoF enemies can't touch me on this character. I may have gone down once, but instantly rallied because everything was almost dead already when it happened. I mean Staff DD does more damage spamming 1, while spamming 5 off initiative regen, than 2 DH traps, and the GS4-2 combo. So much DPS.
  14. Rampage may not be as iconic as other video games that received terrible movies, and many people my go see this without knowing its based one on. It may be a fun watch though. JDM is acting like Negan.
  15. The new firefox update is amazing. It feels a lot faster even if it does look like a Windows 95 program. XD

      Strider Hiryu

I haven't used it enough yet to notice any difference but one positive is it doesn't crash constantly like the old update did. I can actually view websites without having to open Task Manager to close it every five minutes, kinda nice (though I'm not used to using Firefox anymore and this new look is kinda meh).

The reason I say it looks like a Win95 program because I had the color scheme set to that same dark blue on the task bar. XD its so blocky, when it loaded up for the first time I had flashbacks.

I was using it all day yesterday and aside from the block look at the top, Firefox has never run better. I'm really impressed with how fast it is now compared to what it was.

  16. After almost a month of not playing I jumped on to finish up the Griffon mount since LWS4 was announced. Overall the collection was enjoyable. Its a shame they didn't make more adventure style collections like this, but at the same time once this content gets old, its going to be a bit difficult for solo players to obtain. The biggest hang ups being the champions and bounties required. It took a good 15-20 min to get a group for the Facet bounty, although Deadhouse seems to still be very active. Luckily I already had all the MP I needed and maxed it out catching a bounty train in the Riverlands. I dropped 3 Hero banners and a Karma bonfire to everyone's delight and grinded it out in one sitting.
