  1. Apparently NCSoft got DDoSed today and caused server issues for GW2. I've taken a break to play some other games so I'm glad I'm not working on anything right now or I'd be raging... especially if I was trying to WvW.

I've heard so many ppl complaining about the lag in the pvp lobby that I haven't bothered to do a single match the last 2 days. Its been going on for 2 days but then they got full on DDoSed yesterday while I was trying to log in for my home instance farming.

  2. I finished season 2 and it was pretty depressing. It was good to see an old face, but man they really made it hard by doing that. I stuck with him until the end and chose to listen to him. I'm surprised how it was 50/50 on the final fight for most people... especially with the Lee flashback right before it.
  3. Skip to like 5min if you want to skip the entire IGN exclusive time schedule.
  4. The only thing I ever see people use these for is to get around blocks on gaming because if some college campus security protocol that throws their firewall out of wack or something.
  5. I guess I'm not a huge Trekkie. I love TOS and TNG, and thats pretty much it. I couldn't get into DS9, and I never had time to watch Voyager, although I did like the episodes I got to watch. Its hard to beat the Kirk-Spock-Bones connection. I can't really say there was a focal 3 in TNG because more of the characters had more limelight. Its probably some bias too since no other series got feature films. The original BSG was great, I avoided posting that one because I knew someone else would. I couldn't get into the remake because they changed too much for my nostalgia.
  6. Today TV sucks... at least it does for me. If its not a reality TV show, its a cop or doctor show. Since the turn of the century I've enjoyed maybe 4-5 series. LOST, TWD, Into the Badlands, and Vikings are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. 3 of those 4 are pretty recent. I use to watch all kinds of shows growing up, and oddly enough even most of those were reruns of older shows before my time. What were some of your favorites growing up? I loved this show so much.... Gil Gerard was such a terrible actor. I didn't care though, the special effects for the time were amazing, the blasters were cool looking, the ships were awesome... and Erin Gray was a goddess. She was my very first celebrity crush. Netflix had Season 2 for the longest time, but never season 1 which was disappointing to me. Yeah, I'm a sci-fi junkie and I'm still waiting on Space 2099... eh probably fell through. I loved this show too because the premise was so absurd. Earth would be so fucked without the moon, and it kinda hinted at it in the first episode when the accident happened. Behind the scenes this show was a complete train wreck, which lead to its demise. Man oh man, what memories. So many great episodes I remember to this day. Elvis, Lee Harvey Oswald, The Chimpanzee, The Evil Leaper, and the series finale. All three of these shows came into my life because of the launch of the Sci-Fi (SyFy) channel. I'd soak up all the old reruns, and I got to see every episode of this series because of it. The suspense of Sam not being able to leap was so well done in every episode it never really got worn out. The acting was top notch... but you only have to look at the cast to see why. I could go on, but I know I'd be taking up every show eventually before anyone else gets to post.
  7. I'm glad the Pillows are doing the music for this still to keep the same feel OST-wise.
  8. Ah yes, I can't leave out my most played game. Ole Dragon's stand. A whole map made into a meta event that lasts at least an hour. I'll never forget when I first got here, I knew very little about it since HoT was so new. I ran my lane and fought the bosses thinking how epic it was, and then was blown away by the giant serpent dragon boss at the finale. This music ran the whole time giving it such a thrilling experience. Yeah I can't pick just one.

No more endless currency grind to try to get a god roll, only to keep getting knee pads on your shotgun. If the weapon stats are shit they are shit for everyone, if they are amazing, they are amazing for everyone.
  10. I thought I'd put this here because Cassini will enter Saturn by September and gather data from within the planet before it burns up.
  11. This was a terrible mistake. And not because he was nerfed, it was because Reaper was buffed and is ultra OP right now. Paired with this nerf, Reaper can't be stopped when someone good is using him. No tanks can go head to head with him, not even D.Va. He gets 20% of the damage he dished out as HP now. Instead of the orbs from kills, he constantly heals as hes blasting anything. Tanks can't outdamage this healing. So Roadhog cant hook and one shot, and D.Va can't stagger her defense matrix and wear him down. Playing tank is pretty frustrating right now when there is a hero that can melt them with no issue. The only good thing from this buff is there is finally a hard counter to Zarya... but hes a hard counter to every tank.... which was his designed purpose but hes way too good at it now... and he heals off regular heroes as well. As much as i enjoy slaughtering Zarya and Symmetra, its not good for the game. Now people don't want to be healers or tanks.
  12. -_-; wtf... Its 6v1 on WvW this week... both of our opponents are triple link servers. How is that even fair? We're getting destroyed in skirmishes because they K-train the whole map. They can't fight worth anything because were were farming them hard. But every time we dug out of last place we were instantly back in it within seconds of taking a keep or tower. They probably have like 3 commanders from each server zerging around the map capping stuff. How did Tarnish Coast get so bad that it needs 2 servers linked to it? Feels like not too long ago it was the weekly battle of JQ/BG/TC.

I finished out my Wood Chest tonight to retain my loyalty pip. I took a break from TWD todo this, but thats all I'll probably play this week with whats going on. Its not worth getting last place pips to get to gold.

On a side note, how has purging flames not been nerfed... I mean screw epidemic, at least you have a chance to condi clear it. I drop PF on an unsuspecting zerg and I instadown 6-7 people at once. XD It's pretty absurd. Sometimes my loot feed starts rolling like I'm in the Mad King's Labyrinth.

I love purging flames. So many instant kills with it. XD the synergy with dire equipment and that one trait that procs burns on hits is too damn OP. Its more damage than berserkers longbow burst attacks.. It's easily as powerful as berserkers gunflame bursts used to be before it was nerfed.

Well.. I think I'm going to hold off on trying to get WvW skirmish tickets for the foreseeable future until they change the system. I already have 1 legendary back piece and I'm close to getting the pvp one. The wvw one looks good, but I don't have the time for it. I was getting 2 pips per tick yesterday just to finish off my wood chest for 10 whopping tickets. If the reward tracks would reset monthly instead of weekly it'd be a much more enjoyable system since the rewards scale with the higher chests. If anything there should have been a wvw season that runs opposite the pvp league seasons. Weekly resetting the reward track is too much for me. The loyatly pip is dumb too since it only applys to the reward track you last completed. I made it through the wood chest the week before so I get an extra 1 pip per tick... until I finish the wood chest, then that loyalty pip is removed because I'm past the tier I finished the week before.

They should have introduced 2 new currencies like how pvp has claim tickets and ascended shards of glory. The tickets can be accumulated at about the same speed in pvp as the tickets in wvw, but ascended shards of glory come in much higher numbers for buying ascended gear. But in wvw there is only claim tickets and the vendors needs ass tons of them. I bought the first tier of the pvp back piece precursor for 10 tickets.. in wvw the first tier costs 350 tickets. wtf. I can get 10 claim tickets in pvp in about an hour or a little more depending on how high a chest tier I'm at. In wvw it takes me 4 hours to get 10 claim tickets. I'll keep playing some wvw for gifts of battle and for fun, but I'm not going to even bother playing enough to get these tickets for this cost of time. At 4 hours a week for 10 tickets a week it'll take me 5 years to get this back piece. Its not casual friendly at all and I'd rather go back to playing Mass Effect or my back log of other games.

      What anet needs to do is change the vendors completely and introduce ascended memories of battle currency. The back piece items should have the same cost as the pvp one and ascended memories of battle can be used for the ascended armor/weapons. As well as having a wvw league season instead of weekly reset, I bet alot more people would enjoy it. As it is now people have to dedicate 30+ hours a week to finish the entire reward track. And outnumbered pips is dumb. I was on a map that was outnumbered, prediction says I'll get 7 pips but some guy in map chat likes to call out the outnumbered map. 2 seconds before the pip rewards hit, people load into the map, I get 2 flipping pips because outnumbered is immediately negated. They all leave and my next pip prediction is 7 again when I know for a fact the same shit will happen again. -_-;

  13. I know I made a topic like this a long time ago, but a ton of games have come out since then. What are you favorite/most memorable original game tracks? This is still my all time favorite track. The powerful start still sends chills through my spine. I'll never forget when a friend handed me a demo disc for the first game before it came out which featured the start with the ship, ending with the Hydra boss. I was so blown away by how awesome it was I couldn't wait for the full game. Then after falling in love with how the first game played, and its story I was hyped for this game when it was announced. The opening was just epic. It's really tough for me to pick just one track from this game. As a whole its probably my favorite total OST of any game. But this track sticks with me because its from one of the most intense parts of the game that had a huge sense of urgency while it kept you in side scroll camera mode. You'd have to play it to understand how powerful the moment was. From about 1:40 and beyond was the section used for this mission. Ace Combat's first game got that ole fashion rename/mistranslation. PS1 shows up on the scene, games were true 3D experiences for the first time. I was like 12-13 when this came out, and I remember going to a friends house to spend the night and we stayed up playing this game til the morning. We were blown away, and this music was such a rush. Ace Combat was literally the first game I ever got my hands on in the Playstation era, and the rest is history.
  14. This game's music is as beautiful as Neir Automata's.
  15. I just hope they release Starfox 2 for the Switch. I'd buy it.... and its the only reason I'd want an SNES classic.
  16. I still have that new one on my PS4 when it was free. I played the first few minutes of it and something on GW2 probably came out and I forgot about it.
  17. Its basically what all the big action heroes do that are too old... but I haven't seen one I didn't like. Mel Gibson's Get the Gringo was pretty good. Arnold Schwarzenegger's Sabotage was very good. I never even heard of it... I stumbled upon it on netflix.
  18. You have to remember that The Last of US was a PS3 game. The PS4 may have made it look a bit nicer, but there is only so much more that could have been done without overhauling with a complete update.
  19. Have you played any games made by Telltale? Their style is basically in the title. It's not really like Resident Evil or any action/horror game. Its more like a point and click, choose your own adventure. You really do play it for the story rather than the gameplay which is very limited. You choose dialog choices, and occasionally interact with items. The most intensive thing they require of you is mashing a button rapidly sometimes if you are in a tense situation. But overall its a pretty relaxing experience. You don't really have to be a fan of the show to enjoy the story of the game as its totally separate. They're more interactive stories than they are games. If TWD doesn't interest you they do have a Borderlands and Batman game as well. They have others but those 3 are their most notable.
  20. I skipped on it because of your review while back. I'm glad I played 400 days since some of these characters have popped up in season 2.
