Because scorch has ass for DPS vs Ion when it's Titan v Titan. It's best weapon is a stationary trap. Ion's main attack is like a super assault rifle, while scorch has to reload every shot. I had better odds 2v1 vs 2 scorches than 1v1 vs Ion as scorch from any kind of range. As Ion id just hold down fire, run up and get a killing melee blow.

The TTK is MW2 like and for a twitch shooter, I love it. Its the TTK I dream about in this game. People that like to lone wolf, can't carry their team being reckless. Strafing back and forth to win a gunfight isn't skill. In a real gunfight, who ever sees who first wins. TTK is fine, although the other guns could use some love. In the original game Titan's spawned with a shield, and you had to down the shield first and then the titan's HP. Rodeo bypassed the shield and damaged the titan's HP directly, but left the shield unaffected. Now you only get a shield if you get a battery... so if someone steals your battery, you kill them and put your battery back in, you get a shield with the same battery you just had 2 seconds ago... thats pretty stupid. Maybe you should get a shield from the start, and the battery takes away the shield rather than HP. Rodeo is too powerful right now, and the Anti-Titan weaponry needs a massive buff.

Ah the car combat genre. Something that will always be stuck in the PS1 era during its golden age. I loved TM:B, and the semi Reboot, but its def past its prime sadly. Sadly David Jaffe and Sony are on bad terms last I heard, and we'll never see another Twisted Metal as much as I'd love to. But back to the subject. Yes, Konami fucked up royally with Kojima. Like they were having to pay anyone else noteworthy? Kojima made bank for them, and was their biggest and only draw for the past decade. And maybe that was the issue at hand. He wasn't churning out yearly titles... because the man doesn't make shit half assed products. EA has come a long way, and Activision has replaced them as the worse publisher out there. Besides the Titanfall release date, they've been doing a lot better. They took it seriously when they were nominated as worst company ever a few years in a row. We're getting Battlefield 1, and a slew of promising Star Wars titles in the coming years. Its not secret that Battlefront was a promotional project and not a serious release. I really look forward to what they have to offer in the future. Meanwhile Activision butchered Destiny, and created a mass exodus from Bungie. I saw another dev left a few weeks ago. Thats like the 4th or 5th in the last year.

The main reasons Titans melt so fast in this game is the new battery thing. I don't like it. The anti-titan weapons were the main way to take them down in the first game, and they were a lot stronger, and could blow up drop ships with coordinated efforts. Now they centered everything around the battery removal, and infantry can't even put a dent in the drop ship, much less 2 titans. In the first game, you could rodeo, but the animation wasn't set. You'd jump on, pull up a panel and start shooting into the titan's circuitry. It would take a good 3-4 mags to finish off a titan this way, and it wasn't designed to kill the titan, only weaken it. Now you lose almost 80% of your HP from battery removal, and its the best way to take down a titan so everyone does it. There is no way to stop people from doing it either with the grappling hook being the go to perk. If you jump out and try to kill the pilot, you'll probably end up dead as well. The vent gas defense isn't in the beta and was the go to method for me to get rid of pilots. It was a lot like the electric cloud grenade, hell it could have been electric smoke that you vented, its been so long since I played, but it would end pilots fast if they stayed on. The titan weaponry is shit for taking on infantry now as well. The Ion is so inaccurate with its big spread. It feels too lose and clumsy. You could wreck some fools with a Titan in the first game, but pilots could wreck you hiding in buildings shooting their anti-titan weapon. Right now the laser weapon is the only one worth a damn, the grenade launcher was my favorite in the original, but the damage it does is laughable at best now. Thats why I thought titans were durable in my initial post, but its just that anti-titan weapons are so shit right now. The grappling hook and slide need to be sped up. It doesn't need to be Widowmaker fast, but it needs more umph behind it. I like the Stim and Pulse blade best. Pulse blade is my go to for hardpoint because I like to cap the enemy home and it lets me see who is coming in from where. A lot of my problems came from how much Overwatch has spoiled me. From the no friendly clipping, to the different characters having different sounding foot steps. I found myself turning around only to see my teammates were the ones coming up behind me, or Strider using the same LMG as someone on the other team. I've taken a lot of things for granted playing Overwatch over the past few months, which makes me appreciate what Blizzard has done for the genre. At least in BF, I'll be able to distinguish the different languages/vocal accents when I cant see the enemy, but can hear them. Playing with Turtles has really changed the way I play FPS, sound is such a huge advantage in games like this, and those minor details get left out unless you turn your TV up to obscene levels that would piss off everyone in the house. Hearing the titan trudge behind you is pretty nerve-racking. Honestly, maybe Respawn is trying to get this game delayed. It needs a lot of big changes that aren't going to be able to change in 2 months. Maybe they knew this is the reaction they'd get.

Well, it was mostly the upper management that kept an open mind... DICE met consumer demand. People wanted to go back to past eras. Nobody asked for the bullshit Konami is trying to sell.

I depends on the game mode I guess. Amped Hardpoint, you can get a mech fast just by camping a point. One of the maps me or Strider just sat in a pod endlessly contesting B until we got a Titan. People have started learning this to a point where most the team just camps home and unleash a huge titan assault. Sometimes it works. we lost a few times after being ahead a good bit because they had 4-5 titans up and locked down B and home. It really ruins the mechanics of the game that meant for fast and endless movement. One match two guys kept sniping on top of home the entire match. Also the party system is bugged to hell and back. After one match we kept getting put in different games. We had to back out and invite each match. Strider made an AC network which made inviting faster, but it still annoying. Everyone is too busy bitching about TTK that its not even being mentioned that this is a big problem. Also Scorch Titan blows. I hope Ronin is in next week's test. They're both Pre-Alpha, but outside some balancing issues and the party bug, it runs smoothly. The skill ceiling is a lot higher than Titanfall 1, and thats whats turning people off. I'm sure they're trying to push for e-sports.

After playing a bit, I noticed a few differences from the first game. One, it takes a lot more to get a titan than it use to. This may be because of the lack of AI. I only played Hardpoint Amped because I'm not interested in the money in the bank mode. My first two matches i didn't even get a titan as I got a feel for the game again. A larger part of this is because 90% of the matches have been super lopsided. My only losses are the only games that were close. There were 2 matches I won 400-12. Either people never played hardpoint/domination, or COD players can't handle a real movment system. Spawn trapping in this mode is really bad. One the match started I skipped A or C and went for B and then proceeded to try to cap the other teams home. Once this was accomplished you can build a perimeter outside of the point and just rape them as they come out. Again this also could have been to poor players. Once the enemy capped my home point, I went for their home point, traveling the outside of the map. Titans are a lot more durable in this game, that or the anti-titan infantry weapons are just super weak. Its hard to tell if HP has been increased or everything has been nerfed, because I've yet to see a drop ship go down either. Pilot v. Pilot TTK is in a great place. Its amazing how COD lost its ability to code hit detection after these guys left. The movement system is still as fluid as I remember, but sometimes it gets a bit aggressive when you're just trying to run through a 1st floor window. The slide mechanic is a bit wonky and slow feeling. That def needs some tuning. You also can't boost slide from a stationary position which gets irritating if you turn a corner and there is a low hang you need to crouch under because you didn't have time to regain momentum and perform a slide. I've died a few times becasue of this. Overwatch has really spoiled me with their red skull kill confirmation over the crosshairs. The TF2 relies on text under the crosshair. While its nothing new, its a bit dull and hard to confirm. I miss the MW2 pop it use to have. EDIT: After seeing the reddit and forum, this beta is getting received really negatively. Sadly the TTK which I like is a main issue. I'm honestly tired of the argument that higher TTK requires more skill. I disagree. It gives lesser skilled players a fighting chance. Low TTK rewards the best aim and map awareness for arcade shooters like this. *sigh* I'm sure Respawn will cave and up the TTK. Low TTK shuts down the 1 man team carry... which is why there is a big fuss about it, Everyone thinks they're a solo all-start team carrier, and when they got shut down fast they get mad.

I pulled this from a facebook headline LOL what an arrogant twat. Telling fans of a series they're wrong to be concerned about the upcoming shitfest this game will be. Some of these developers have a lot of nerve these days like COD dismissing how disliked their decision to keep going into he future was. Its like they just expect you to buy the garbage they put out regardless.

You're probably right, because there is a Reinhardt looking corpse on the new map in a throne room.
-
76 was my favorite one just because I like his back story and want more. I hope they do one for all of them eventually. I'd like to see a D.Va, Zenyatta, and Reinhardt one.

Lmao, I always loved hiding in a room, watching a tank pull up and cap the point, and roll off. Sometimes they'd stop and reverse when they noticed the flag going back down and started shooting randomly at buildings. With destruction 2.0 back it's going to be harder even without the flare gun. But at least TNT is in the game. I'll be trolling tanks like always.
-
On another note, I noticed the flare gun is like a more powerful proximity mine. It will spot people on the minimap in its radius. That's gonna be pretty useful when you're trying to cap 1v1 and you cant find where the person is hiding preventing the flag from lowering. Of course I'm guilty of doing that myself.

Cleared BF4, Blops 3, and The Division off my HD to make way for the Titanfall 2 and BF1 betas. I only had 40gb of free space left before i did so. Now I have 180gb.
-
All I have right now is 40gb too. I'm hesitant to delete BF4, but I haven't played it in over a month again and with BF1 coming out I doubt I'll play it again. Once I see a 2tb slim hdd on sale for $60 again I'm going to buy one just to upgrade my ps4 and turn the ps4 500gb hard drive into an external for my pc. Its getting annoying to decide what games to delete when 2 people use the system.
-
Meh, I can't bring myself to take BF4 off considering I do still play it from time to time. I did take The Division off though since I don't ever see myself going back to it. I'm sitting at 80 gigs free now, should be enough for now.

His Ult shouldn't have been touched. Getting a team wipe requires a bit of luck on top of skill, along with your team having poor awareness. Every time I hear Genji say his ult line, I focus him immediately. He's still squishy and easy to kill during his ult. We'll be seeing a lot more Tracer, which means I gotta play a lot more Winston. Basically Zen has Mercy's old damage buff rate, but the whole team gets it on a single target. Its still pretty powerful, just not insta-melt. His orbs got buffed back to what they were before he got his HP increase. He's still viable which makes me happy. Edit: wow, Hanzo got a big buff

Until I see them in the Beta, I just don't see them being super effective at anything solo. They can help clear out and cap a point maybe. The flamethrower guy can take out a few assault class, but he'll get murdered by medics, supports, and scouts with relative ease. And the sentry's inability to wear a gas mask seems to be a pretty fatal weakness depending on his HP pool. These three classes just seem to be minor beefed up versions of Assault, Support, and Scout. If they had a medic elite that could super heal, that would probably be OP. Playing BFBC2: Vientam, the flame thrower in this game is a lot weaker in range and power. Plus it takes forever to get its max range. Face to face elite vs. reg you're going to lose against its strengths no doubt. It just seems to be a good way for lesser skilled players to get a nice little streak going if their in the right place at the right time. The hate I see the most on these classes is exactly that too. Noobs getting a few easy kills, and how they don't deserve these pick ups when someone more effective could use them. Then again I think these people are overestimating the functionality of these. The Behemoths will be more tide turning. Then again I'm strictly thinking about Conquest. You'll have to cap the point, and transport these guys to places you need them. Easier said than done. If these classes are in smaller modes, then yeah, I can see the issue arising. They could be more advantageous in Rush, but I don't think they'll be in that mode. I do look forward to getting in on both modes during the beta.

Pass. I can already see this game has no direction, it's just loosely based in the universe because of some opening cutscene. Then it goes into some L4D-Resident Evil hybrid double knock off. They threw this together just to make money off the MGS name. They'll juice it til it dies so they can claim people have lost interest in AAA games and justify their whole shift to mobile gaming.

That would be a neat trick to pull off, but you'd def have to get everyone in a tunnel since you can't see through your wall, and the range you can toss her ult is not that good to begin with, so you could cut off more than 30% of your ult's effective area. It's more useful to toss it through Reinhardt's shield, because people are grouped up behind him. Now you could put the ice wall behind the team, and toss the ult giving them no chance to back up after feeling safe behind the team shield.

http://www.vg247.com/2016/08/18/overwatchs-next-patch-includes-a-major-nerf-for-genji/ It will be interesting to see how this plays out. It seems like a pretty harsh nerf. I'm good with the Zenyatta adjustment and it's nice to see Mercy get a bigger heal buff.
-
They'll be no different than battle pickups in BF3&4. They won't be like Heroes from battlefront. It's amazing how bad the overreaction has been. I guess since it's a load out instead of a single weapon. The assignment will suffer the same fate as the China Rising bomber. Which will be an ass to get, but offer sweet ripe sniping targets.
-
No more AI unless the game mode calls for it.

This looks meh TBH. Its amazing that anyone is still giving money to Bungie for this when there are better games than this out right now and are coming out. A new strike? meh, A new raid? meh... they're even promoting patrol now? I mean wow, nothing interesting or rewarding ever came from patrolling except for when the Wolves were prowling. Hey, lets give the Iron Banner guy a story, screw Rasputin... the most interesting part that wasn't the Queen. Its Old Russia again, but its snowing! Whats even more sad is that you can now get all the DLC for $60. Which is really a rip off seeing as all the old content is completely useless. Crota and now TTK raids give outdated loot compared to the new Rise of Iron raid. Destiny 2 is going to have to fix the loot system. Maybe with this new skin concept, they can actually give out out equal rewards across Strikes, PvP, and Raids, while skins become the biggest difference between the three. That way the old raids never lose their usefulness, and everyone can be on equal playing ground during Iron Banner, instead of getting mollywhoped by people with raid hard mode weapons.

Black Holes being random is what I was wondering about. Because I can get an alien to point out a black hole when I visit the space anomaly.. if it's random and sends me backwards, I'd be pissed.
