Machine Head's Burn My Eyes
-
I wouldn't mind super depressing endings myself ... it's sorta exciting to find an anime that changes your mood every half hour and Mai Hime towards the end was cool on that front.
-
Seven Swords was 'meeeh' when I saw it last year ... Jade Warriors I've never heard of ... googled it and am on their official website, looks neato! http://www.jadewarrior.net/ ... it says 'Coming Soon' though.

You mean ...

Cool signature! I've got upto 10 but have had no time to watch it so far >_>

Finished watching it late afternoon after having started watching it this morning. I fell asleep on the 2nd episode last night Nice series, with a heartfelt story-line and the regular good versus evil theme. Animation-wise it was consistent and there were a few surprises towards the end. Short important battles did the trick and I really liked the bond a few characters shared with each other. Not the highest of marks, but it's a good series!

Odd balls like The Machinist, V, Batman Begins, Pan's Labyrinth, and a few more from the recent past have had the effect on me where you're having dinner after the movie and you're left constantly talking about it! Otherwise, yup I crib to no end if the movie is bad or the plot's plain ol dumb. Makes you wonder why you wasted your time to even venture out in the first place. Off late I've had access to movies through downloads and it still stings when it turns out sour - because I'd have wasted time and download speed for something useless! Not expecting anything out of a movie is the best thing to do, sometimes you're left with no choice if it's a new Batman sequel or Star Wars sequel or a related series you tend to like. I've seen a lot of guys on here who like the Resident Evil movie series, heck I don't care much for them except for the fact Milla's in em X'D, but for fans, you're anxiously waiting for its release and would definitely watch it come what may. The disadvantage of how I watch movies though sometimes makes me wonder if I'm doing the right thing - I only watch movies that appeal to me. And the unfortunate part of that logic is that I may miss out on movies that turn to surprise. My post is dumb X'D ... it's like saying yes and no at the same time hahaha. I wish I could say I was excited about Ghostrider or commercial projects, but I'd prolly watch those sorta movies 2-3 years from now on a weeknight with nothing to do. Before the release of 300, everyone hailed the movie and probably still do, but after its release most online critics went from a 100-95% rating to 60-65%. The new Die Hard or Spiderman or Transformers 'should' be good. I remember when Fantastic 4 had come out, I never watched it and just saw it recently and wondered what the hype was all about - the movie was just decent. Everyone has their own standards and the lucky guys are those who just wanna have fun with watching a movie, whichever one it may be. I really envy you!

My Dying Bride's Turn Loose The Swans ... been in a melancholic mood off late.
-
... so after catching up (finally!) on the last few minutes of Blood Diamond, I moved on to watching TLKOS with the same Oscar trail hope that it left behind ... Best Actor won by Whitaker. The movie's set in the recent past involving King Amin and his regime in Uganda. There's plenty of good acting from Whitaker and McAvoy and unfortunately that's the only thing that kept me going last night. Anyone else seen it yet?

Malevolent Creation's Stillborn and Eternal through the night and this morning

While working from home ... Monstrosity's Rise To Power.

The movie grips you mid-way through and it's a winner, better than The Departed atleast, imo. I like the original The Departed better, but that's not saying that the acting on the remake was not good. With Blood Diamond, I think the last hour is what the movie's worth watching.

This morning it was Uriah Heep's Innocent Victim.

Taker rules. Period.

This has come out already? Wow, not much hype I guess.

So I start watching this movie last night with high hopes because it had a couple of Oscars floating around it in the Nominations area. Unfortunately, I fell asleep at 4 am with just 30 minutes to go, the movie spans 2 hours 20-30 minutes, which's a nice chunk if you ask me. Great acting by DiCaprio and Djimon, Zwick's directing is top-notch as well and you get nothing less. I'll wrap up the movie tonight and move onto another ... What did you guys think of the movie? Liked/disliked?

Never watched Wing ... I think the only ones I've watched are; 1. MSG 0079 2. MSG 0080 3. MSG 0083 4. MSG: The 08th MS Team and a little bit of Seed Destiny upto 18 episodes where it got a little boring 2 years back and I just stopped watching it. Ofcorpse, most of this (2-4) under the guidance of AC's very own Gundam Sith Lord! EDIT: Since I'm in the US now and there's a better connection compounded by my new lappy with a little more disc-space, Zeta you're up!

I need to re-watch this and the itch is real bad at 2:35 in the morning. I hate it when I get excited about a movie and I can't watch it at that very instant X'D.
-
Nope, I'm not talking of the effect Saw had - put a bad taste in my mouth, and that's a different issue! How many of you have seen BT and/or liked the movie?! I remember watching this cult classic when I was a kid and was in total awe of it back in school, wonder why I just remembered all the nice pukey scenes! Trust me, it's a must-watch for all gore lovers.

The one nice goodie part in Saw III was the drilling ... if ya know what I mean.
