Pretty much ... child marriages take place in abundance in small villages in India too, and certain religions/ castes.

Off Topic: You can come over whenever you want, you guys have an open invitation:teethglint: Yeah, I need to start cooking for a change ... haven't been serious about it in months or since I moved to NYC, it's been strange that way ... I need to get new hardware like the cookers n non-stick with the big spoons, etc. I chucked what I had earlier cos it was either burnt or up to a point where they got unusable I think

Brokeback Mountain - don't recall seeing this when it came out, but I thought it was pretty good for it's premise and cause for awareness in terms of social hardships or harassment like what Milk depicted. Great acting, good music theme, and an interesting end. Just a bit taken aback by Lee's boldness ... for all those raw-kinda lusty or kissy or butt~dushdush scene(s). From Within - it was past midnight, and I promised myself to watch it ... I think I got in the first 15 minutes before the Bailey's got to me. I'll finish it tonight. slippers, have you watched the other After Dark (studio/production) movies? Some of em are pretty lame, and only look enticing because of good production values.

Most Marketing jobs start off that way ... after my MBA, I looked for jobs abroad, some looked really promising, and the advertisements for them looked pretty good. Post interview, everything changed because I knew it was one of those "try and sell credit cards door to door or at a train station" kinda job profile.

Mythical Zoan Fruit o_0 ... *will re-read it after work*

I'll watch From Within tonight. Sideways - Paul Giamatti and Thomas Church star in this Comedy/ Drama ... Church's character's getting married, and the 2 best friends spend their last week in a town full of vineyards. Paul's character, recently divorced, is an expert in wines and it's fun to watch their eccentricities unfold.

It might happen ... cos it's only a cameo!

Hahahaha!

yeah Sledge ... I know *sniff*... no control though *sigh* Cool slippers, I'll check it out in a day or two. Adaptation - prolly my favorite Nicholas Cage movie, also stars Meryl Streep, Chris Cooper, and a short role for Tilda Swinton. The movie's tag line is "Charlie Kaufman (Cage) writes the way he lives... with great difficulty. His twin brother Donald lives the way he writes... with foolish abandon. Susan (Streep) writes about life... but can't live it. John's (Cooper) life is a book... waiting to be adapted. One story... four lives... a million ways it can end."

That's just stupid ... Off Topic: in a separate issue - we're about 7 months into this Democracy/ Democratic party, and what was impressed on Day 1 on a probable early solution to the entire health insurance model is yet to be resolved. And, there hasn't been much distraction by war or famines or hurricanes, etc. Yes, the economy was a distraction, but money was pumped into the system in those early months, so what's the government busy with now?

Yeah, I'm sitting in front of a tower fan at work >_> and the central air conditioning is on ...

Even if it's a cameo, it's awesome!! It's for Sly's new flick The Expendables (pictures came out a few weeks ago, and they looked promising). Here's the full article - http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/08/17/bruce-willis-will-join-sylvester-stallone-and-arnold-schwarzenegger-on-screen-in-the-expendables/ The last paragraph ... is also win.

I don't recall very well ... will re-watch it soon X'D ... is From Within out on dvd? EDIT: Last night I fell asleep in the middle of watching Rear Window. I blame 3 chocolate pastries-a mocha smoothie-a cheese sammich from Martha's something bakery in the evening, and a large pie from Dominos-2 helpings of Baileys at home ...

Has anyone seen this yet? I might go for it soon ... Synopsis - From the Academy Award®-winning director and world-renowned Japanese animation legend Hayao Miyazaki comes PONYO, a story inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale “The Little Mermaid.” Already a box-office success in Japan, the story of a young and overeager goldfish named Ponyo (voiced by NOAH CYRUS) and her quest to become human features an outstanding roster of voice talent, including CATE BLANCHETT, MATT DAMON, TINA FEY, CLORIS LEACHMAN, LIAM NEESON, LILY TOMLIN, BETTY WHITE and FRANKIE JONAS as Sosuke, a young boy who befriends Ponyo. --© Walt Disney Pictures. Thing is, I think they'll get better or at least be good ... considering how everyone agreed and realized their mistakes on Spidey 3.
