Hmmm ... I'm gonna re-watch a few episodes on Blackbeard to get back on this. My problem is that I started to read the manga since Thriller Bark began, which means that all or any mentions of Blackbeard before that've been expressly discussed differently in the manga than in the anime, I'd miss out on.

CP9 members' fist punch is MUCH STRONGER than a regular persons. Considering that, Nami got hit so many times, yet she stood at the end of it. I think that was a BIT unfair, considering their powers.

I was thinking about Nami and her recent battles ... Nami's first major battle was against Miss Doublefinger, the 2nd most powerful agent at the Baroque Works) ... then it's with Gan Fall versus two bodyguard/ troops in the Enel camp ... then it's (surprisingly) CP9's Califa ... does that make her the most powerful woman in the East Blue!!!! I just couldn't believe a regular person albiet carrying a smart weapon would be enough to defeat a member of the CP9, CP9's were at a VERY esteemed position in the World Government. Ok, then we also have an ever more powerful Nico Robin, un-utilized phenomenally so far. Then there's also Captain Hina who briefly appeared during the Croc arc who's pretty strong.

Continuing what I said a while back in the other topic (which relates to this too!!), I'm thinking ... what if Whitebeard faces Blackbeard and in Whitebeard's physical condition, he were to die, it'd push the balance over the tee! BUT, it'll also put our fellow pirates versus the World Government in a spicy situation ... Shanks, Luffy, Monkey D Dragon coming together to battle off the Schibukai and Admirals seems fitting of an epic conclusion. HOWEVER many mysterious yet to be solved about Raftel, Gold D Roger, the big ancient weapon which destroyed the world before, etc. ... maybe these mysteries are never to be solved, who knows. I suspect Gold D Roger and Whitebeard might've had a one on one, leaving Whitebeard in the condition he's in. Having said that, he'd also want to fight Luffy, outta sheer respect for Gold or help Luffy when their paths cross at Impel Doom ... it'll be interesting to see where Shanks/ Monkey D Dragon are during all this.

I remember Whitebeard being PISSED OFF royally knowing that his nakama was killed, but just imagine what he'd be thinking when he'd learn of Ace, 2nd Commander, being defeated and sent to Impel Doom plus Blackbeard's new protected post within the World Government? HELL! He might either have a heart attack from so much fury or do something drastic. But, he's smart ... he'll trace Luffy and seeing how Luffy's being going at em Schibukai's plus the eventual Ace rescuing, he'll 'help' in some way I'm sure. Blackbeard cannot hold 2 DF's in him, he'd not be able to take that much power. Luffy's got the capacity to take a heavy beating but to what extent? Touch Blackbeard and your power's useless because it'll absorb the DF ability, unless he has long range attacks or air punches using Gear Second, I dunno how he'll battle Blackbeard single handedly. But, maybe it's not his battle in the first place, maybe Blackbeard's battle is reserved for Whitebeard ... and we're not even taking Dragon into consideration here, he's appeared more than once already and has yet to come into play, story~wise.
