slippers, are you a fan of Romero's Night Of The Living Dead, Dawn Of The Dead, and Day Of The Dead? Soylent Green - finished this Sci/ Fi classic late last night featuring Heston. Set in the future, a board member of the Soylent Green corporation dies, and an investigation is carried out fronted by Heston (detective). Animal meat is a rare commodity, and Soylent Green in it's various forms accounts for most of people's food needs. I won't say much because I'll spoil it, but to a certain point it reminded me of Bio-meat (the manga that Eppy introduced me to) without the monsters, and the ending was disappointing. It felt unconclusive.

JL ... I need to grab me hands on those heh ... in time, in time. I was on a Sci/ Fi spree 2-3 months ago, and I just finished my Nana re-watch, so to change the mood, I'm on a re-watch spree again X'D Dark Star - Carpenter's first (I think?) movie, and it's about a crew who're on a mission to blow up useless planets before they wreck the universe by going nova/ supernova, etc. so to speak. It's humorous in the 'what the hell hahahahahaha' kinda way for it's UBER silliness, but they don't make em movies like this anymore either, which's why I guess I like it hehe.

Martin and DiCaprio team up once again for this Thriller, while I think it looks promising, the trailer gives away more than I'd want. Tron I was discussing a bunch of sci/fi movies with a friend of mine, and I mentioned Tron ... woke up this morning itching to see it again X'D ... just finished rewatching it ... I love this movie regardless of a somewhat weak plot, it was the first of it's kind aeons ago ... maybe. Exceptional visuals, and pretty engaging despite a slightly lame/ unnecessary last 2-3 mins of the movie. I don't own the 20th anniversary DVD, but I read it came with bonus footage and the works.

I hope they don't come up with a lame shallow plot ... the Yellow biker is a computer version/ and a younger version of Jeff Bridges. It was as if he took the game too seriously, and ended the life of the other competitor. I can see the production house cast him as a bad guy, post Iron Man's success.

Just figured it'd be cool to have this thread on here ... The Thing - I love the 'ttrrroonnngggg trrroonnngggg' old school theme a the beginning of the movie heh, but it's pretty gripping with a no-nonsense script, and it gets better and creepier till the end. Twelve Monkeys - Under-rated, and Pitt's performance is his best to date, imo.

It's supposed to be terrible amongst old school GI Joe fans who fell in love with either the comic books or the tv series in the 80s ... but, not as bad as the Street Fighter movie. I'll wait for it to come out on DVD.

Finally get to see everyone in action! WB Aokiji. Mihawk's biggest slash was countered by the Diamond guy. I'm pretty excited to see where Shanks/ Dragon come in this scenario, and what'll happen when Luffy n crew come on board, plus there's also BB n his new crew member to worry about. I THINK WB will get to a point where he'll be losing the battle, and that's when Luffy will make his appearance. He is a lil far off, so it'll take him time to get to where the battle's at, plus now the sea's frozen, so he'd have to run to get there X'D ...

Yeah, pretty good chapter ... it was surprising, plus we got a bit of an insight on the Sharingan in his eye, it was just too much of a coincidence that the other guy knew about the chakra color or had fought the original Sharingan holder. Otherwise, the end looked good with the Sakura scene. I didn't get why the importance was given to Sasuke when the Akatsuki guy popped up in the middle hissing "Ooohhh Sasuke's here, look for him" I mean Sasuke aint the most wanted ninja in the world for pete's sake X'D.

Yeah the opening songs are okay, but I'm referring to the actual music theme (during the episode) of the series. The old series had these cool WWar kinda sounding themes, with the depressing, cold/ fighting/ uplifting themes which were superb. On the new series, I'm not getting any of it.

^ agreed about the initial episodes being a bit un-interesting ... I still think it's a big "EEEHHH" (part because of high expectations I guess) because I don't like the animation or the music, both factors that I loved in the older series. Guess, I'll wait and see ...
