I've been watching Jay Leno this entire week and aside from Headlines, hes really not that impressive on his own compared to the previous month or two just before the writer's strike. His monologue has taken a hit and the first part of the show before he brings a guest in is boring now. As for Conan, he already sucked to begin with so now hes even worse. x_x I really can't imagine him taking over for Leno in the near future.

http://www.deadline.com/2013/04/nbc-sets-tonight-show-transition-with-jimmy-fallon-taking-over-in-2014/ This is the video they made a few days before the announcement: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YS0jVU8fLc4 I think Jimmy will do good at that time slot. I like watching Leno's monologue and Headlines, but I think I've only watched a handful of complete episodes. As for Jimmy Fallon, his monologue always seems a bit weak to me, but his Thank You notes and the stuff he can get some celebrities to do is pretty good. I used to watch Conan all the time way back in the day and I think he did good with the Tonight Show when he had it. But ever since he moved to his current show I almost never watch him except for videos online like his Clueless Gamer videos. Those are damn funny. I haven't watched much of Jimmy Kimmel, so I don't know how well he'll do up against Fallon in the same time slot. And I never really found David Letterman to be funny. I've watched his show off and on over the years, but I just don't find him funny at all. Anyway, do any of you watch the late night shows? Who is your favorite? And what do you think about Jay Leno leaving?

Comcast buys NBCUniversal... owns half of cable programing.
DeathscytheX posted a article in News Column
Last year Comcast Corporation purchased 51% of NBC Universal, today they have purchased the rest of it from GE for $16.7 Billion. Comcast will also own a 31% stake in Hulu to go along with the huge acquisitions under the NBCU umbrella like SyFy, USA, Bravo, and E!. One has to question how this is even legal for a cable company to own major programing networks, and how it could affect their competitors. What did you guys think about the opening ceremony? I thought it was a bit lackluster. I know they wouldn't come close to topping the China opening from the last olympics, but it seemed pretty slow paced. I thought it was hilarious that Prodigy had a brief moment in it with Firestarter. X'D Anyone using the Live Extra app? Its annoying that you have to login with your cable provider to use it.. and its more annoying that it loads a video ad before you can live stream something.. and its downright aggravating that I could only get one event to live stream because once I try to view another it fails to load the next ad, which then fails to load the live stream, and after I try again, I have to force close the app because it has a heart attack. The app is a good idea, but it is horribly executed as far as I'm concerned. And apparently it doesn't even work on the latest version of droid ics.
