Anybody watching Z Nation? Its no Walking Dead, but this show is starting to make a fan out of me. Its like a Syfy zombie movie turned into a series with better acting and plots. The first 10 minutes of episode 3 got me laughing pretty damn hard after everybody on the road kept getting brutally murdered. If you haven't watched this yet, I recommend it. Just don't expect any kind of TWD quality.

I really liked the first season and I hope season 2 picks up the pace and incorporates some aspects of the game like the EGO system, Nim, the 99ers, Dark Matter, infector weapons, etc. Considering its a series that is connected to a game.. there are very few actual connections between the two properties. It almost feels likes its the same world but to different realities.

http://www.syfy.com/continuum I caught the first episode of Continuum last night. I liked the first episode and I think I'll stay current with the first season. Here is what its about: Kiera is a much better character than the always crying wrinkly foreheaded Charlie from Revolution. Anyone else watching this show?

As a person who actually paid $60 for this game when it first came out, this pisses me off. The game I paid for was buggy as hell, broken missions, had numerous server issues issues and even server queues. Over the past year Trion has finally fixed all the issues and made the game a complete product.. a product that I should have received a year ago. What I really believe is that Trion planned on the game going Free-to-Play from the beginning and everyone that paid the initial $60 basically crowd-funded this game to completion. In the end I look back and I can see that what I paid for was an early unfinished product that was in a beta for a year until they got enough in game purchase options available and DLC out to make the game free to play and still make money off a new possible flood of customers. If you have not played the game before, I do recommend it. It'll be great to play once a week during Defiance Season 2 as there will be new cross over content, weekly episode missions and the entire core game campaign will be completely free. What I do not recommend is buying any of the DLC. I never bought them, but I know someone who has and its definitely not worth the money. I'll play Defiance again for season 2 and a possible season 3 of the Syfy show, but I will not buy another Trion Worlds, Inc. game. If they ever make another game and plan on charging for it, don't bother as it will most likely be a beta for a year and you'll get it free when its actually worth a damn. Anyone watching Heroes of Cosplay? Aside from Yaya Han, everyone looks like normal people that enjoy doing cosplay. Its interesting to see their costumes and their design concepts and ideas. The woman's Brave cosplay was really good. She looked pretty much just like Merida. Its on Syfy, Tuesdays at 10 pm right after Face Off. Link to the site: http://www.syfy.com/heroesofcosplay

Anyone watching this show? His bigfoot episode was a bit lackluster. It was encouraging that he didn't buy into any of it based on the evidence. His HARRP episode was very interesting. I have never heard of a skyquake before or its possible association with HARRP. I hope the rest of the season is as good as that episode was. Anyone catch the premiere episode? I thought it was pretty good. Syfy has been promoting the hell out of the show and it looks like they did a good job with it. The acting is good, the musical score was great, the landscapes where very eye catching.. However a couple parts seemed a little predictable, the cg was good, but it was a bit off with a couple vehicles and I wish the battle at the end lasted a bit longer. I was surprised to see an army like that coming to destroy the city. But I'm glad it has some action. After playing the game for a while, I was starting to wonder where all the danger was in series. Seeing as no army came to help them, it looks like Defiance is a completely stand alone town with no allies or affiliation with any larger nation. i think this show has quite a bit of potential.

Did anyone else watch the first episode? Its entertaining so far. One of the scenes looked like the robots might get upgrades as they progress through the bracket. http://www.syfy.com/robotcombatleague

Syfy is finally making more Science Fiction series. They announced multiple new projects to a group of advertisers yesterday at their annual Upfront event. Aside from the highly anticipated Defiance series which will be premiering next Monday, Syfy has been less known for Sci-Fi and has become more focused on wrestling and reality shows. While it does not appear that will be changing, at least they'll be re-embracing the genre that started their network. Here is a list of the new shows with some brief descriptions:. A couple days ago the NDA was lifted on the Defiance beta, which means it can be discussed openly. I have been playing the beta this weekend and I am impressed with this game. I've never seen a beta setup before with such an easy way to submit your bug reports and feedback. I must have filled out 15 feedback forms this weekend. So far this game is quite fun. The controls are the same as a typical FPS game. In fact, it more or less was the same button layout as Call of Duty Black Ops 2. The game is played in a 3rd person perspective and when you zoom in with a weapon it does an over the shoulder view that is zoomed in a bit for your weapon sights. When you are using a sniper rifle, the screen will be filled with the entire scope like in a regular FPS game. Groups were working great until this morning. I had no problem meeting up with friends and play the entire campaign together. Fast map travel is available for major cities. Secondary quests are available throughout the map in multiple locations. If anything, this game is like a combination of Guild Wars and an FPS. Guild Wars because of the secondary quests and fast map travel and an FPS because of the combat system. Also, like in Guild Wars 2 and other MMOs, you will see many other players in the game. Some that might have the same objective as you and are attacking the same enemies. Overall I highly recommend this game. With all the feedback they'll have from this beta, I hope they get the bugs fixed because this game is good.
