Let me start off by saying I watched Fate/Zero earlier this year and it was amazing. One of my favorite series of all time now. The action, strategy, emotional connections, brutal murder, ideals, anti-hero.. it had everything I love. And the last fight in the series was one of the best damn fights I've ever seen in an anime. The series is on netflix in english and I enjoyed the english dub. Heres a trailer for it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgDTWKCU3_s I know the fate/stay night is based off of a hentai game property and thats fine. I'm not interested in that. If anything that game setup the ground work for an amazing anime: Fate/Zero. The original fate/stay night series I never watched and after watching unlimited blade works I doubt I'll watch anything with the fate/stay night name in it again. Another series I loved that was based off a H-game was "Tears to Tiara".. excellent anime. Action, adventure.. and just like Fate/Zero, no hentai garbage, just an excellent series. I saw Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works show up on netflix and I finally watched it thinking it'd be a great sequel to Fate/Zero.. boy was I wrong. This series was more based off the actual property, minus hentai.. It was horrible. Its like they took something amazing and turned it into everything I hate in an anime.. all main characters are kids.. in school, with school outfits, and an occasional dojo episode. wtf. I only watched the first 13 episodes and I'll pass on even finishing this series once netflix gets it. I don't want it tainting the awesomeness of Fate/Zero any more. Fate/Zero was epic.. a full on war between 7 mages and their heroic spirits.. the battles were intense and everyone expected a fight to the death at any moment. But unlimited blade works starts the next holy grail war. And everyone continues going to school. Seriously? If any of these characters were in Fate/Zero they would have been dead in the first episode. These two series are so drastically different its like comparing Gundam to Care Bears. TLDR Watch Fate/Zero. Watch it now. Amazing. Delete Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works from your queue and never watch it or feel utter disappointment.

Fushigi Yugi, the mysterious play, is the story of a young girl named Miaka and her adventure into a magical book known as "The Universe of the Four Gods". Upon opening this book, Miaka is ripped from her world and placed inside the story. Miaka quickly discovers that she has a destiny to fulfill, for in this story her role is that of the Priestess of Suzaku. As the Priestess, she must seek out the seven warriors of Suzaku so that she may summon the beast god Suzaku and have her wishes granted. But when Miaka's best friend Yui also becomes trapped in the book, a bitter rivalry ensues as Yui takes her place as the Priestess of Seriyu. While all of this happens, Miaka's brother Keisuke and his best friend Tetsuya, read the book and follow Miaka's progress throughout the story. Fushigi Yugi has proved itself to be one of the most powerful animes I have ever had the priviledge of watching. The depth of the characters made me truely feel for them in their times of pain and happiness. The dialoge that passes between each of the characters can be quite funny at times, but serious issues can sometimes lead to drastic events. The drama that unfolds leads way to intense battles and situations that drew me deeper into the story. With each episode, more of the story is read and The Universe of the Four Gods comes ever closer to an end. How will the story finish? Watch it yourself to find out. The epic drama that is Fushigi Yugi is an anime that I will always admire and recommend to everyone. Animation: 10 Sound: 10 Voice Actors: 10 Characters: 10 Plot: 10 Overall: 10 Platform: Series Genre: Fantasy / Drama Publisher: PIONEER Released: 1995

The city of Zolem, floating thousands of feet above the land throws a shadow upon Scrap Iron City. Scrap Iron City is where this story takes place as Ido, an exile of Zolem and a cyborg engineer, begins another of his often ventures into the scrap to search for pieces of machinery to salvage. Anyone watching Heroes of Cosplay? Aside from Yaya Han, everyone looks like normal people that enjoy doing cosplay. Its interesting to see their costumes and their design concepts and ideas. The woman's Brave cosplay was really good. She looked pretty much just like Merida. Its on Syfy, Tuesdays at 10 pm right after Face Off. Link to the site: http://www.syfy.com/heroesofcosplay

Michael Bay is not content ruining just one generation's childhood. Now that TMNT has wrapped up production, Michael Bay has set his sights on his next project. Pokemon. I have a feeling these pokemon battles will be intense and full of explosions. I bet Megan Fox will play Misty. Source: Pokemon / Nintendo (EDIT) April Fools!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEcCkaRUTsc See the trailer and a few clips of the live action adaption of the anime Kite I've never seen Kite, two of them are on netflix now I assume because of this project... I wont watch them however, because the customer reviews claim they are heavily edited. American live action adaptions of anime or any remake of japanese films have been a bust because they throw in to many western story cliches and ruin the original content... then you have Dragonball Evolution... which I'll never watch. It looks interesting. Click here to view the article

The movie has been out for a year, but it looks like it will get released on blu ray / dvd outside of japan soon because a UK trailer has surfaced: I'll have to watch this at some point, these actors look like the characters. Seeing this makes me want to rewatch the anime.

The trailer is in japanese only and 360p crappy quality so its hard to see what detail the animators might be putting into this. It could be a good anime once its done.

Warner Brothers is continuing its effort for a live action Akira film. They have reduced the budget leaving many to question how they would tribute the anime's final scenes without laughable syfy channel movie CG. However, in the aftermath of this summer's box office cluster bomb, its hard to blame WB for cutting the once $180 million production price tag. For more info, check out the article on io9: http://io9.com/akira-movie-lives-on-despite-everyone-trying-to-kill-i-1001620450

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qjk3XRLmasI For the first time ever, the 1978 cult classic manga Space Pirate Captain Harlock is getting its own feature film adaptation. Written by Mobile Suit Gundam UC author Harutoshi Fukui and directed by Appleseed director Shinji Aramaki; Toei Animation made its biggest investment ever, throwing $30 million into the project. The story originally serialized by Leiji Matsumoto, has been updated to fit themes of modern society, and has been given a Hollywood style production. Harlock will release in Japan during the fall. No word on a North American release as of yet.
