Electronic Arts has signed a deal with Walt Disney to be the the exclusive publisher of Star Wars games. The deal comes off the heels of Disney's decision to shut down LucasArts. Both DICE and Visceral will make new Star Wars games, while BioWare will continue to produce titles for the genre. EA refused to comment if they would pick up Star Wars 1313 or First Assault which were all but dead projects with the former studio closing shop, but this move should excite fans with the possibility of a Star Wars themed Battlefield and the possibility of KOTOR3. EA Access has launched for Xbox One. The subscription costs $4.99 a month or $30 a year and gives you access to a collection of EA games that you can download, install and play. It sounds like a good deal and it includes Battlefield 4 in the list of games you have access to. However, it looks like DLC is not included in the subscription and certain popular titles are strangely absent from the service, including Titanfall. The most interesting feature of EA Access to me is that many new EA games will be free for five days prior to the game launch as an early access feature. Those games would then turn off and would be available for digital purchase. I'm guessing EA will leave new games as digital purchases only for a year before adding them to their EA Access Vault. This also might be EA's way of making a hybrid Free to play style of gaming. You get the base game in the subscription, but the DLC will be EA's gold mine. Interesting enough, Sony has no interest in having the EA Access subscription on their network stating: EA Access could be a good bargain depending on how well it works out. But then again EA is known for winning "Worst Company in America." Sources: http://www.ea.com/eaaccess/ & GameInformer Also, Kotaku has a good FAQ regarding EA Access: http://kotaku.com/how-ea-access-will-work-according-to-ea-1616944110

The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection is Free on Origin.. but only until July 31 at 10AM Pacific. The Ultimate collection is the original game and all 18 expansions. This is not an "On the House" free game, instead you have to open Origin, click on "Redeem Product Code" and type in: I-LOVE-THE-SIMS Thanks to Eppy for this info. Source: Escapistmagazine

Battlefield 4 Dragon's Teeth expansion includes ballistic shield
Sledgstone posted a article in Games
An EA DICE animator revealed that the new Battlefield 4 expansion pack "Dragon's Teeth" will include a two handed ballistic shield. DICE was going to make the shield one handed and work in conjunction with a hand pistol, but limitations on the older gen systems made it impossible across all platforms. Because this game is on the PS3 and Xbox 360, all versions of BF4 will be limited to weapon and gadget functionality based on what those systems can handle. Its a shame they released this game on the older consoles. Now we'll have a Call of Duty style shield instead of something unique to Battlefield. Although, this shield when used by a couple squad mates at the same time could really change Operation Metro and Operation Locker matches, assuming an M320 LVG grenade could bounce off the shield. Origin has started their next round of "On the House" games. For a limited time, you can now own Battlefield 3 and Plants vs. Zombies™ Game of the Year Edition. This is pretty good. I might actually start using Origin again. Source: https://www.origin.c...es/on-the-house Click here to view the article

http://blogs.battlefield.com/2014/01/bf4-balancing-vehicles/ DX told me about this patch earlier today. I'm glad the Mobile AA is going to be nerfed. It could shoot anything in the air from any distance with no bullet drop. It was insane how quickly it could destroy anything. But it only has 6 total missiles that is being reduced to 4? I never noticed it would run out of missiles.. I wonder if that is per the life of the vehicle or per person who enters it. Could we just jump out of the vehicle and re-enter it to get all the missiles restocked? I enjoy getting in a helicopter, but if the other team has a mobile aa, then i wouldn't even bother trying to get in the air. I thought some of these upgrades already went into effect because I was in a scout helicopter yesterday and the 25MM cannon hardly did any splash damage to infantry. Then again I was lagging, maybe it was a server issue at the time.

Wow the sand storm on Oman is going to be crazy... Parcel Storm's rain levolution is awesome with turtles, it really sounds authentic how the rain hits the ground and your head. I can only imagine what Oman holds. I watched some Live Stream of Metro last night... although I don't like the map, I did look a lot better visually. The roof caving in is going to be interesting. I wonder if they will add choppers for this... at least a little bird for each team.
