Ok, so we're 1 episode away from the finale. That will be released tomorrow. The first two episodes were basically Dick van dyke and I dream of Jeanie episodes. Very boring and made no sense. Third episode and the "tv reality" becomes colorized and things start to progress. Fourth episode gets better and 5th episodes and on the show is solid and extremely interesting and is true Marvel movie quality. By the 8th ep all the tv show stuff at the beginning of the series makes complete sense and the series is awesome. I'm expecting some huge battle for this finale and probably some giant reveal for the Doctor Strange 2 movie. Maybe we'll see some huge actor like Keanu Reeves show up as Mephisto or something like how we got that hint of Thanos at the end of the Avengers movie.

The series premiered with it's opening movie last night and I was impressed. I had lower expectations for this show and thought it would be another clone wars series, but instead it was quite a bit different. The scene changes and flow of the series is very different. I would have preferred a different animation style, but its good for what it is. Star Wars Rebels takes place shortly after the fall of the Jedi that happened in Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. Here is the best part though.. this series seems to be very inspired by KOTOR. Source: ICv2 This post has been promoted to an article

Let me start off by saying I watched Fate/Zero earlier this year and it was amazing. One of my favorite series of all time now. The action, strategy, emotional connections, brutal murder, ideals, anti-hero.. it had everything I love. And the last fight in the series was one of the best damn fights I've ever seen in an anime. The series is on netflix in english and I enjoyed the english dub. Heres a trailer for it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgDTWKCU3_s I know the fate/stay night is based off of a hentai game property and thats fine. I'm not interested in that. If anything that game setup the ground work for an amazing anime: Fate/Zero. The original fate/stay night series I never watched and after watching unlimited blade works I doubt I'll watch anything with the fate/stay night name in it again. Another series I loved that was based off a H-game was "Tears to Tiara".. excellent anime. Action, adventure.. and just like Fate/Zero, no hentai garbage, just an excellent series. I saw Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works show up on netflix and I finally watched it thinking it'd be a great sequel to Fate/Zero.. boy was I wrong. This series was more based off the actual property, minus hentai.. It was horrible. Its like they took something amazing and turned it into everything I hate in an anime.. all main characters are kids.. in school, with school outfits, and an occasional dojo episode. wtf. I only watched the first 13 episodes and I'll pass on even finishing this series once netflix gets it. I don't want it tainting the awesomeness of Fate/Zero any more. Fate/Zero was epic.. a full on war between 7 mages and their heroic spirits.. the battles were intense and everyone expected a fight to the death at any moment. But unlimited blade works starts the next holy grail war. And everyone continues going to school. Seriously? If any of these characters were in Fate/Zero they would have been dead in the first episode. These two series are so drastically different its like comparing Gundam to Care Bears. TLDR Watch Fate/Zero. Watch it now. Amazing. Delete Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works from your queue and never watch it or feel utter disappointment.

The season finale just ended this past monday. I started this series and gave it a couple eps. I almost dropped it, but by the third ep shit started going down and I got sucked into the plot. This was a surprisingly great series with excellent acting. Its so refreshing to see a 1 off series like this. I don't think there is going to be a season 2 and if there is it would probably ruin the experience. This played out like an anime in a sense. It started and finished the entire plot. There was no filler episodes and everything tied in together. I hope this inspires AMC to make more stand alone short series. Hell, I wish more of america tv would follow this direction instead of endless reality shows or drawing out a series so long that it gets canceled without a finale. This show proves its possible for US tv to actually give us a story in a complete season. Well done AMC. I can only compare this to Stephen King mini series, except better. Now I wish all those old Stephen King mini series were actually given the full season treatment like this.

Anyone else watch the new episode last night? Its great to see Mulder and Scully team up again. I love that they went right into an alien technology / government conspiracy.

This is without a doubt the best thing I have seen on tv this entire year. 4 series in a massive justice league / captain America civil war style plot spanning 4 episodes and it was amazing. I really hope they make another crossover special next year. Superheroes versus the ultimate Nazis. The episodes are online if anyone wants to watch: http://m.cwtv.com/shows/crisis-on-earth-x/

I watched the first 3 episodes of this tonight and I'm loving it so far. Unlike the movie where everyone is stuck in a grocery store, the bulk of the cast is trapped in a mall, while others are in a church or on the road trying to avoid getting killed. Spike has done a good job with this. Depending on how they treat this series it could be their own Walking Dead kind of show. No zombies needed here with the amount of monsters ready to kill everyone.

I loved this cartoon when i was a kid. The animation looks good, the music is great, the voice actors are a good match. I'll watch this.

This is a pretty pointless first look of the logo of the new series. The thing that caught my eye was at the end were it looks like the show will actually be on CBS and not online streaming only. Turns out thats not the case. The first episode will premiere on CBS and the rest of the season will be only available with the CBS All Access streaming package for $6 a month. It'll be completely stand alone and wont tie into the movies either. I'll probably skip this series.

It looks good to me, except for Iron Fist. Even in this trailer he has to say "I'm Iron Fist". I hope the guy that wrote Iron Fist isn't part of this production, because if he is, I'll expect to hear Iron Fist say his own name again 100 more times in the show.

This came out on netflix last week and I finished it up about a week ago. Its the fourth series in the Marvel/Netflix deal leading up to the fifth series called "Defenders" that will have Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist in it. Those first three series were highly enjoyable and well made. I don't think I made a topic for each one but perhaps I will. The special effects, characters, plot and abilities of the heroes and villains in each of those series were well thought out and executed.. But then we have Iron Fist. Honestly this show was a huge let down. From what I remember in the comics and cartoons, Iron Fist was a smart ass guy with a sense of humor.. and is supposed to be the best fung fu master on the planet worthy of the power of the Iron Fist. In this series Danny Rand aka Iron Fist is a complete mess. He was raised by monks in a monastery for 15 years and instead of becoming an amazing kung fu master in full control of his body and mind he is a psychological mess with constant PTSD issues. wtf. The actor also appears to have done all his own stunt work which includes yellow belt kung fu lessons and no full length leg extensions on kicks. wtf. I was expecting some Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee action considering they are/were kung fu legends in my mind. Instead of amazing fight choreography like I'd see in either of their movies, we get the equivilant of a guy looking homeless half the movie getting into random fights with minimal kicking. Its not just the fights that are bad, but the acting and characters are worse. They repeat everything. I heard "I"m the Iron Fist" at least 5 times per episode.. I'm not kidding. Every character counterdicts themselves. One episode they'll talk about honor, the next they're doing illegal activities. One minute Danny Rand wants to get control of his father's company, the next he completely abandons it. One episode a character is emotionally torn about Danny, the next episode they betray him.. again.. and again, like a game of tennis. I don't know who was in charge of this show but it was horrible. The worst part of the entire series was the emphasis on the multi million dollar corporation he somehow still had legal rights to after being declared dead over 15 years ago. At least half the series was focused on board rooms and the fate the company that overall had no significant impact on the actual series. Imagine a Batman movie where half the movie was Bruce Wayne and, alot of screen time on his associates, making business decisions about Wayne Enterprises. Who needs action and kung fu in an action based kung fu series when we can instead sit here and watch people squabble about the price of the drugs they're manufacturing and whose in control of the company. Ehhhhh. Daredevil had a bit too much courtroom drama with the lawyer aspect of it, but in the end it kind of worked since it was a build of Punisher having his own series. In Iron Fist, I suppose this boardroom crap and the lack of a single major enemy throughout the series for Iron Fist to fight against was more of a build up to Defenders than a standalone series.

Stranger Things debuted on Netflix yesterday. Me and Lady marathoned this 8 episode series last night. Wow. I normally hate things with kids in it but this was the best tv series I have seen this year. Its based in the 80s so theres no cell phones and things look a little dated, including the 80s music and clothing, but it works out great. After watching this I can tell it must have been highly inspired by Silent Hill, Stephen King and Dean Koontz's novel Door to December. If you like any of those things you will like this series. This was also made with movie quality production. Netflix needs to make more series like this. We could not stop watching it once we started. The trailer gives away a just a couple scenes but none of the major stuff, but skip the trailer it if you're planning on watching it soon to avoid any spoilers.

Right after Mythbusters gets canceled, this show gets made. I wonder how many youtubers will try to bust all the new MacGyver stuff with recreations. This new MacGyver looks like a kid with bad hair. If hes going to have long hair, he needs to go full mullet or gtfo.

I'm glad the series got renewed. I've enjoyed it so far and I'm glad it's getting transferred to the CW. They'll definitely do some more crossovers now. The Flash crossover was the best episode in season 1. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/supergirl-season-two-cw-892629

http://marvel.com/news/tv/26104/netflix_orders_marvels_the_punisher_to_series?linkId=23992378 The Punisher was the best part of Daredevil season 2. I'm glad we're getting a series dedicated to him but they better kick the annoying 'crying woman' character he was constantly paired up with in Daredevil to the curb.

I finished Daredevil season 2 on netflix yesterday and I have some mixed feelings about it. Overall I enjoyed it and I'll watch a season 3, but I'd rather watch a dedicated Punisher series instead. Daredevil is that typical superhero that doesn't want to kill anyone and always interrupts everyone else's sense of justice to impose his own choices onto them and thats basically what got me annoyed more than anything with Daredevil. Hes also supposed to be a catholic (which isn't a major plot line at all), and it feels like thats his motivation to impose his sense of morality onto others. eh. But with as dull as Daredevil's character is with whats right and wrong in crime fighting, the Punisher makes up for it. Season 2 was basically an origin story for the Punisher and I hope he gets his own spin off series. He was incredibly brutal. In his endless fights, he gets his face bashed enough times that its hard to tell hes the same guy that played Shane from TWD. But he did such a good job at his character that I'll easily remember him more as Punisher now than Shane. Elektra was also a good character except for some plot twists that seemed very rushed at the end of the season. The downside to season 2 was all the courtroom / lawyer crap. They dedicated about 1/3 of the season to a trial. Sure, Daredevil is a lawyer but I don't want to see his day job, even if it does slightly tie into the the overall plot. They could have cut that trial down to 1 episode and had more action instead of treating it like a main plot with Daredevil doing some random fighting as a side mission in those eps. Boring. Clark Kent is a reporter and Peter Parker is a photographer but I'll be damned if I ever had to sit through 4 episodes worth of Clark Kent reporting on an oil spill or interviewing politicians. Or watching Peter Parker set up that perfect panoramic shot for an art magazine commission. wtf. I'm watching a superhero show to see ass kicking. Just like I wouldn't watch Tony Stark have a board meeting for 1/3 of an Iron Man movie, I don't want to see a court drama in Daredevil. Also, that character Karen Page was incredibly annoying. Shes all happy go lucky, and completely ignorant. Its like the director wanted to jam her into every scene they possibly could regardless of plausibility, just to get her in there to remind you that the things the punisher was doing was actually bad. How she lived thru so many different scenarios makes her unbelievable as a character. She was the equivilant of the "good angel / devil" on the shoulder and all I'll remember her for is crying all the time or looking smug. She'd have been a much better side character with less screen time. x_x Even with its shortcomings, I enjoyed the series. One last thing, there was one scene where the Punisher shoots this guy in the face with a shotgun and holy crap that looked believable. jebus.. made me shocked for a second. The guy's head should have blown out in the back, but still. This season had the most believable gun / bullet physics I've seen in any show. It literally looked like bullets were hitting walls and swiss cheesing people. If someone was getting shot at, you'd see the bullet holes in the walls and not just see some spark where a bullet hit metal. Their special effects ppl did a great job with that.

Anyone watching The 100? I caught up on season 1 on netflix a while back and I've been eagerly anticipating season 2.. turns out season 2 started 3 weeks ago and I've been missing the new episodes. x_x If you haven't seen this show yet I highly recommend it. Its the post apocalypse and the remaining factions of humanity are battling for survival. "The 100" are the initial prisoners sent from the space colony down to the planet to see if they can survive the radiation on earth now that their colony was failing and beyond repair. They encounter the "grounders" and "mountain men" each of which have very different cultures.. the grounders are basically barbarians, the "sky people", the ones from the space colony have technology.. and the mountain men, well they are just disturbing because I could see a sophisticated society like theirs making the decisions they have. If you haven't seen this show yet, I highly recommend it.

The trailer doesn't show anything about the show except for its animation style. It could be good, but if its anything like Ultimate Spider-Man, I won't bother watching it.

I really liked the first season and I hope season 2 picks up the pace and incorporates some aspects of the game like the EGO system, Nim, the 99ers, Dark Matter, infector weapons, etc. Considering its a series that is connected to a game.. there are very few actual connections between the two properties. It almost feels likes its the same world but to different realities.
